  Yes, you reason as acrobat 4 is not compatible with Windows 7.

  Acrobat 4 is a very old version and Adobe no longer provide support for this version.

  We're sorry, but the serial number would work only for Acrobat DC and not acrobat XI.

  You will need to upgrade your operating system to windows 7 to install acrobat DC.

  Please let me know this happens to you with all the PDF files that you try to change or with specific PDF files?

I want to 'print', in other words, create and save a PDF document in my file in Word format, as I have done in the old free version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat Reader DC several times. Any suggestions?

  Please note that the features of Adobe PDF to create PDFs is available with Adobe Acrobat (paid version) and not Adobe Reader (free version).

  You have Acrobat installed on your system?

  If so, then it might be necessary to manually install the Adobe PDF printer on your computer.
