Adobe CC services deny MPC (Media Player Classic)

Hello! I encountered a problem. When Adobe CC app works, I can not launch Media Player Classic, which is my video player by default. I always can I run WMP (Windows Media Player) well.

When I run MPC, nothing happens, but I see it in the running task manager. I need to kill the assistance process Adobe CEF in order to start MPC, playing videos. Until Adobe CEF is closed, MPC does not open.

Windows 7 Home Premium, i3 2350 M, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB HARD drive.

I'm sorry, I got a lot of work to do. Well, I did and it worked. So I assumed it was some problems with codecs. I reinstalled my codecs (K Lite 11) and it worked. Now, everything's fine. Case could be closed.

When I try to play a dvd with media player classic, I got an error message saying cannot find DVD

    Hello yoyo2,.

    1. you have the same problem when you try to open the files with Windows Media Player?

    2. does this problem occurs during playback all DVD with Media Player classic or any particular DVD?

This problem can be caused if the Media Player classic is able to play the DVD and does not support the file on the DVD format. Check the format of the files you are trying to play on the DVD, because it might have associated with missing codecs in Media Player Classic. Also, let us know if you have the same problem with Windows Media Player.

  • Media Player Classic suddenly stopped working

Well, after the last update of the operating system, Media Player Classic has stopped running. Whenever I am trying to open a file, it gives an error that the program has stopped running. Vista offers to download the new version of it - then just out of curiosity, I tried and new version did not work at all either. It was obvious. So what's happened and what should I do to get it working again? I know there are many other programs use it as well but I like this one, and I would really like to continue to use it. And certainly, I don't like that updates break programs and drivers.

    Hi Riksu,

Media player classic is a third party application and Microsoft is not aware of the mode of operation.  You can try uninstalling and reinstalling the codecs and check if it works.

If it doesn't work then you will need to contact the manufacturer for assistance.

  • Media Player Classic has stopped working

    Lady Grace,

Can you confirm you're problem is related to the update windows KB975560 mentioned in this thread.

If Yes, then you can try some of the suggested options (unfortunately, they are not suitable for me but may be for you), if not then it would be best to start a new thread with your question.

    Thank you.

    Hey Jersey Bunny

How you define the update of windows, so it will not install this KB975560 automatically?  Thank God, this thread is here coz I had this same problem and thanks for these great answers that I managed to get my media player save and works but updates keep sneaking it back in!

    Thank you

  • Microsoft Product Support Services (C00D28B7) Windows Media Player 11

I use a 4 month old XPS M1530 DELL with Windows Vista. And Windows Media Player 11 was already installed. I always update my computer with the latest updates for Windows and Vista.

Hello. For a few weeks ago, I wanted to take the opportunity to see a TV program that was protected with DRM by using Windows Media Player 11 I have installed on my computer. After I chose to play this TV program with Windows Media Player 11, I got a message that I had to install an add-in to be able to view the selected program. I accepted and then.

I never had a confirmation that it went well. And I'm still not able to see TV programs that are protected by DRM. Whenever I try to load the protected DRM content I get the same error. The error text that appears is the following (translated from the Norwegian version)

There is a problem in the DRM (Digital Rights Management) component. Contact the Technical Support of Microsoft (C00D28B7). Windows Media Player cannot play the video and reported the error message above.

I tried to get answers on how to solve this problem on the internet without finding any answers. Can someone please help me solve this? Please describe how, to English easy since my English could be better. I have also considered reversing this additional installation. It is to uninstall this add-on. Can someone help me to do this?

    Hi ourkid,

    Thanks for posting answers.microsoft.com

It seems that the error log has been changed on your system.  If the DRM is used correctly, try to install this update to resolve the problem.

  • I have Windows XP Home Edition w/service pack 3. Windows Media Player will play CD but won't play DVD. What I can do. I am a beginner on the computer.

I need help for fixing Windows Media Player in Windows XP Home Edition. Plays CD but will not play a dvd. I had my computer cleaned by a computer company of fix - it about a year ago, and they have installed service pack 3. I tried the free VLC Player and it would not work.

FWIW... Win XP cannot natively recognize Commercial

    Hi Bruce.

Right-click on the file and choosing 'Open with' does not define the default program. Instead, right click and choose Properties. When the Properties window opens, click on the button 'change '. From there, choose the desired program. Make sure that there is a check mark in the box "always use the select program to open files of this type." See the image at the link below.

  • Why there is no service on my windows media player play

I can't find the button "play to" wmp on my media player is updated, but there is no button "play to" where all the help guides show that it is. I tried several of the help guides provided by microsoft, but you still can't find the button "play to" any help would be greatly appreciated

    Weird?

The button appears on mine, but you can use it in 'Streaming' is turned on, and the PC can connect to your multimedia device (TV in my case).

If you right click on a file (photo or video, etc.) in WMP, then 'Play To' appears?

    Additional information - http://www.everything-microsoft.com/2009/10/29/windows-7-guides-using-play-to-in-wmp-12/

It may be an error in WMP or even course, so have you tried the old UN-install/Reboot/reinstall WMP to see if that helps? - http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/26107/how-to-reinstall-windows-media-player-in-windows-7-to-solve-problems/ and/or convenience stores of WMP - , to the search type "Troubleshoot" (without the quotation marks) in "Troubleshooting" click results click on "programs" and look at convenience stores of player three media (esp delivery to zero one), to see if they find and then fix anything.

PS - the search around, I just found this tip for another ' play to ' problem on WMP12.

    1 closed WMP12.
    2. go into [Control Panel-> system] Services and safety-> administration-> Services tools
    3. Locate the service named "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service"
    4. stop the Service manually.
5 locate the "UpnP device host" service Stop the service and restart it.
    6. start 'Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service' now.
    7. close the control panel and all the windows. Open Windows Media Player... make a right click on a playlist and see if the Play option lists the TV. Try to play now... He started playing for me at this point!

While the symptoms were not the same as yours, it may be useful to at least check the services are listed and started.

I played DVD on my Windows XP Home edition before, he always played them very well, but then suddenly it stopped reading DVDs, everytime I put a DVD in (from the same DVD I used to play on the computer), all I get is a message that reads as follows:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because no compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer."

I don't know why he does not play the most, I've tried it on WinDVD and it only plays DVD when the movie is opened its files (in other words, I have to go "Playlist" then select the DVD drive and open the video folder and open all video files to it to play the movie...) I would really apprecate that it if someone could help me with this issue, at least let me know how to fix or what happened to the decoder or what...
