Adobe Flash and Microsoft Edge

There are several posts on Flash not detected by Edge even if the rocker to Flash is in advanced on the edge.  Why this problem happens again to so many users?  I have a Lenovo ideapad, the last update on the edge and I'm going crazy just a loop in the same problem-solve-error routine. No matter which Adobe or Microsoft know when or you will come up with a solution please? Thank you!

No, not really.  Without a reproducible scenario, we will not make any progress.

Since you've been through other threads, you probably a good idea on the data points, I've been collecting.  I'm looking for the common thread that shows me how to reproduce the problem.

Was it still broken?  If this is not the case, what has changed?  Was it a new Win10 facility or an upgrade from a previous version?  Is the administrator account, or is the problem isolated to a Standard user?  Have you installed the software ad-blocage/anti-tracing/anti-anti-virus/pare-feu software?  If so, what and what versions?  Is Flash broken on a specific site, or on all sites you visit?

I'll buy a HTC Merge soon and I would like to know if Firefox v11 will fully support Adobe Flash and if I decide to use v10 now this method would work https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-mobile-doesn ' t-support-flash? e're = & as = NAQ if I wanted to watch flash videos on lets say on the Vimeo site also there are plans for a version of mobile of Thunderbird? I am an avid user of Thundrbird and would like to have on my Android phone.

Mobile Firefox should work on this phone given specifications. Although we have not tested specifically on this phone.

Firefox 11 will support Flash player Android. The Flash Android player is somewhat limited. Although going to the bottom of the Vimeo mobile page and clicking the page view desktop version allows me to play the video on their site. Deleted and panoramic frames is not surprising but I'm testing on a phone with similar specs that you look at HTC G2 (Desire Z).

The Thunderbird team is a separate group of the mobile Firefox. I don't know what their plans are (if any) for mobile.

  • OfficeJet 5740: 57 40 HP won't print Web pages - Internet Explorer and Microsoft edge

I can not get the HP office jet 57402 printing Web pages. I tried with Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge. Both recognize the printer in their printed menus. There is no printing problem of Microsoft Word or Microsoft Outlook. The printer is brand new. Would be grateful for any advice.

    Hey @Nigel2,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you have problems with your 5740 e-all-in-one printer Officejet printing 10 Windows PC. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. If your printer is connected to your PC via a USB cable, remove it.
    2. Close any programs you have open.
    3. In your search type in printers bar and open devices and printers.
    4. Right-click on any icon of your printer listed.
    5. Click on remove the instrument.
    6. Repeat for all other icons of your printer listed.
    7. If you removed the USB cable, connect. If this is not the case, click on add printer and follow the prompts to add a print to your printer queue.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to print properly, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • Flash Player and Microsoft Edge

So, apparently, I uninstalled Flash player using this guide

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/uninstall-Flash-Player-Windows.html

Now Microsoft Edge does not flash player more and I cannot reinstall. How do fix? (already enabled 'Use Adobe flash player' of me advance setting)

Yes, I changed the possession of the records and delete them. Flash player install force does not solve it.

Anyway, I contacted the defender of Microsoft and they said cannot be reinstalled or reset regularly and advised me to do a system restore. Problem is now solved.

  • I hate Adobe Flash and cannot get rid of it.

Over the years, many people have found ways around the Adobe Flash's boring and invasive. Each new iteration of Fox and Adobe puts it right into the FireFox browser and fits in my computer.

Adobe Flash is pervasive. No matter how many times I turn it off, set it to "ask every time", delete program files, or set to 'False', he comes back.

Adobe Flash allows the ads to play in your browser. This is the main objective. So for EACH PAGE LOADED in Firefox, the page crashes, slow charge, crash, or be diverted because of the publicity Adobe and this web page do you want to view.

It does not matter that the ads are for something, you have already purchased a month before; It is not you! It is Adobe, which makes it "look like" they delivered an announcement to your eyes. But they did not. They just made the page hanging, if you close Firefox and take another browser to get your own mission accomplished.

    Firefox 39.0, Windows 7

Flash player is separte of Firefox that's why it's called a plugin.
To uninstall, you must remove it by using the Windows Operating Sytem. It is probably best to use the Adobe clean uninstall tool.

Full instructions and a link to download the uninstall program (also has a link for Mac users)

  • Given that you have blocked Adobe Flash and I uninstalled as suggested by many commentators, what are my options to see the content I want to see?

Yet once, now that Adobe's Flash problems are everywhere the news what are my options to display the content on the sites that were previously used by Adobe Flash? I uninstalled Adobe Flash, but need an alternative. Thank you!!!

Mozilla had 'soft-blocked' version 18.0.0.203 and earlier, which still allowed you will activate Flash on websites of that trust.

If you are not accustomed to using the "Request to activate" feature with any of your plugins, here's what to expect:

When you visit a site that wants to use the Flash, you should see a notification in the address bar icon and one of the following: a link in a black rectangle in the page or an information bar slides between the toolbar and in the page area.

If you see a good reason to use Flash, and the site looks trustworthy, you can go ahead and click on the Lego-like icon in the address bar to allow Flash.

But some pages use Flash only for tracking or play ads, so if you do not see an immediate need for Flash, feel free to ignore the notification. It will just sit there in case you later want.

Until this ordeal of previously unknown security flaws shakes, you might want to try this and see how it fits. To set the Flash "Ask to activate", after you have reinstalled it, open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. Search 'Shockwave Flash' and always change 'enable' to 'ask to activate '.

Note the 13.0.0. 302 ESR is actually a recent update of Adobe to fix critical vulnerabilities. The 13.0.0.29 current previous6 is vulnerable.

  • Adobe Flash and other questions about Flash crashes

There are several cases of Adobe Flash crashes if I use Firefox, IE or Google Chrome - browsers and simply reload the page corrects this BUT repeats again and again.

I am running Windows 8.1 64 bit in which the Flash program comes apparently integrated in the operating system as a hybrid 32/64 bit. When I inspect the add-on version Flash in Firefox, and an audit of the update, Adobe points out, correctly, that my system is 64 bit, English, Firefox Windows. Then when I do the same thing in Windows Internet Explorer, by checking the version shipped, I get a message that KB2999249 is available as a download fix Flash problems in Internet Explorer. Since this installation, the Flash has collapsed in IE [yet].

So my question is: How can I be certain that when Firefox reports that Flash is "day" that he is indeed a version 64 bit compatible? Note that the download from Adobe site identifies only one version available for Firefox, IE and Google - the current version is the 15.0.0.152 file: NPSWF32_15_0_0_152.
The "32" in the file name part suggests that it is a 32-bit application and, if so, where can I find NPSWF64_15_o_o_152 [if exists]?

  • after update to adobe flash and restart firefox for mac, as requested, cannot restore the previous session

using macbook pro with os 10.7.5, was recommended to update adobe flash in firefox (22.0). did, which required closing and restarting firefox during the flash update. When you're done, firefox will automatically open to the adobe flash window and restore previous session was grayed out. can not know how to find and restore the tabs that I had used. responses and related issues is not a solution. my settings are all normal and do not seem to report any with the problem. on the contrary, it seems to be the closing and reopening of firefox associated with the flash update that nuked all memory of my last session. is there a solution?

I found my own solution to my problem! first of all, don't QUIT FIREFOX - to ensure this unwanted session does not become "last session". Instead, open a new window (command-N). in my case, he opened my usual default URL and, while in this window (whether before or after the closing of the first window browser that opened automatically after the update of adobe flash), the option 'restore previous session' in the menu historical reappeared! clicked on it and, therefore, the things everything worked normally.

  • I downloaded adobe flash and still does not...

I have updated my Firefox and Google Chrome and Adobe Flash 3 times but the plug ins don't always work.

There are two different versions of Flash for Windows, ActiveX for IE version and the version of the plugin used by Firefox and other browsers.

    1. download the Setup file of Plugin Flash version here:

Adobe Flash - 32-bit version of the Plugin.

    Save it to your desktop.

    2. close Firefox using file > exit

Then check the Task Manager > processes tab to make sure that firefox.exe is closed.

    {XP: Ctrl + Alt + Delete, Vista: Shift + Ctrl + ESC process tab =}

    3. then run the Flash configuration from your desktop file.

    4. run Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
