Adobe phishing!

Adobe rang asking me to update my creative cloud subscription card, I knew I had to do (6 days left!). They are like Adobe and asked for my card details by phone. I told them it is ridiculous and said I would on the internet.

They responded that I can't do and I have to give them the details now.

I hung up.

I'm updating my contact information on my account, now.

Thank you Adobe for a very severe blow.

Chat is SUPPOSED to be available now, since it is Friday and between these hours open, and I have no idea why the cat does not appear

The addon Flashblock 1.5.13 is able to prevent this vulnerability? I am hesitant to install it because of recent poor user reviews.

Any suggestions or advice are appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi, Bill.
Flashblock will block the market Flash objects unless you explicitly allow them. I used to use Flashblock, but I do not have for some time. So, Yes, it will do the job. I only see a bad double-posted review for Flashblock. The average rating is always 5 stars.

Instead, I use NoScript, which blocks all scripts on the page Flash and other plugins unless expressly authorized by you. It may be a stretch to deal with this vulnerability.

You can disable the Flash plugin until you are sure that you are on a secure site, it needs, such as YouTube, in tools-> Modules-> Plugins.

You can also try the pre-release version of Flash 10.1, which, according to Adobe, seems not to be vulnerable. Make sure you follow the instructions to uninstall any old version of Flash before installing 10.1. I used it without a problem for a while.

You can be very well as long as you avoid unknown sites. Once there is a malicious site, Firefox blocks with built in site and phishing site protection against attacks.

    Hello

No, it certainly isn't a Flash Player update to the official address notification.  If you have the full URL path that generated it, please private message it me and I'll pass it on to the team of fraud for study.

    Thank you.

  • 4 no serial number can not be upgraded to Adobe.

A few years ago, I bought Lightroom 4 on the Apple App store, he is not come with a serial number. Today, I bought the upgrade to Lightroom 6 through Adobe. I have the serial number for LR6. When I try to install LR6 it asks the serial number for LR4. (Which I did not because he did not part). It does allow me to install without serial. I did a 'chat' with adobe customer service but am nowhere.

    Someone at - it suggestions?

Uninstalled, reinstalled LR. Still could not get around the serial number thing. I had to send back the upgrade. They have not yet processed the refund. I'm struggling with the customer service. I was caught in a phishing scam in adobe forum pages. Someone has been in contact with me claiming to be the help of Adobe initiated by my post here. I finally realized it was a scam when they asked Adobe and my password. And I'll still have to pat the full price of $149 to upgrade to Lightroom6. Just stick with LR4 for now.

It was the most frustrating experience.

  • How can I prevent stale 'Adobe Reader' hijacking false

In IE, I will get a false "Adobe Reader update" screen of newupdate24.com. The screen seems official. I clicked on the update message and have loaded up with viruses and malware.

The IE phishing filter is enabled and has no effect.

I'm sure you're probably right about that but, it is not a matter of Reader or Adobe. You want to start looking around for a forum or site that has people who deal with this sort of thing to support. Good luck.

  • Adobe Reader - ongoing vulnerabilities - embarrassing

It's just annoying that Adobe keep releasing products with so many security vulnerabilities.  The most recent vulnerability in 9.1, our more than 5000 employees organized will never use your product again.  In addition, the news spread quickly on all vulnerabilities in Adobe and soon or later nobody will use or switch to another solution.

In my opinion, the only thing that developers should never work again on in Adobe Reader is safety!  We don't have no need of new features - all users want to do are just displaying PDF files!  This should not be a difficult product to get, and there is no need to be 138 MB to install.

I understand is it's an incredibly complex to ensure as a browser, e-mail client or Web application.  But it's just a program for a simple goal - the viewing of PDF files!  Focus all efforts on securing the product and nothing else.  There is no excuse for another vulnerability in Adobe.

I'm a software engineer and understand that programmers are human, , but repeated defects in your software is simply annoying!

    http://voices.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2008/02/hackers_exploiting_adobe_reade.html

    http://www.theregister.co.UK/2009/04/28/adobe_reader_flaw/

I could spend hours posting links on all of the previous flaws, but I don't have the time.

In the future to focus on safety in your product and nothing else whatsoever!

If possible, I would like to know who is specifically responsible for the last fault.  They should probably be fired.

We must begin to show our finger specific programmers who are at fault to fix vulnerabilities and have a database to search for the history of vulnerabilities.  It is perhaps the only thing we can do to make people enough care in the design of secure software.

It is a source of embarrassment and programmers of Adobe should be ashamed.

The question is, what will be the new vulnerability in the next "patched" Adobe version!

I completely agree... Problems of vulnerability have been plaguing this software since its basic steps.  Even some mediocre programmers can easily string together some codes and achieve a higher result.  Anyway, I can be described three ways while surfing the web a) avoid phishing, b) avoid the Trojans and c) avoid anything with adobe name

  • Sierra Adobe breaks makes inDesign CS6

    Hi people,

I get a finger of download that sting for Sierra, my question should I break inDesign CS6?

I have a bit of jump some operating systems, I also expect...?

    Thank you.

    using Yosemite 10.10.5

Reported problems with Illustrator but CS6 is not longer supported by Adobe and was not compatible with the Mavericks and after according to Adobe. Apple does not solve the problem if you run into something, and adobe has no software open source so that others could provide a patch. I'm agree with your position not to be bullied into buying a subscription for the software with my humble OPINION less than stellar customer service I need to contact once a week, it was the decision of the Adobes.
