  You are using Safari, the link to get to the error you receive. I used Firefox and the download worked.

  The program is installed without problem.

  My HP Photosmart Premium C410 works with all my apps except Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 - what is optimal for imaging program!  The printer is defintely selected by default.  However, there are two options available on the page 'print' of the EP, and they are very close - which may indicate a problem.  First on the drop-down list is "HP Photosmart Prem C410 series fax", while the second (which I chose it) is "HP Photosmart prem C410 series.  Whenever I try to print from PES, it starts the fax process...!  Someone at - it ideas - all advice gratefully received.

  Please try to rename the "HP Photosmart Premium C410 series Fax' in 'PS C410 Fax. You can substitute:

  Open "printers".

  Click with the right button on the HP Photosmart Premium Fax C410 series and selecting rename

  If it still loads the fax when you printer here are a few steps that we can try.

  Hello, I just bought 13 PSE for windows 8, and when I run the setup.exe after downloading, I get an error indicating "Installer failed to initialize, this could be due to a missing file, please download adobe support advisor to diagnose the problem. Adobe support Advisor is abandoned if it is not at all useful. Any ideas how to install?

  If your error is:

  "Setup failed to initialize. File not found. ' or 'could not initialize installation. This could be due to missing files.

  first of all, rename folder OOBE OOBE.old.

  to find the OOBE:

  Win 64 bit OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE

  Win 32 bit OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE

  Mac os: HD > library > application support of > adobe > caps

  Mac os: USER > library > application support of > adobe > OOB

  If it fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.

  If you use an installation dvd:

  Copy the contents of the drive in a desktop folder and install from this directory.

  If you are using a mac:

  1. try to create a new user account in Mac with administrator privileges.

  2. connect to the new user, navigate to Mac HD > Application > utilities > Adobe Installer folder, locate products such as Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and uninstall the

  3. navigate to the user library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.

  4. navigate to Mac HD > library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.

  5 restart the installation.

  If everything is applicable above fails, check your Setup logs:

  PC brand new, never a product adobe inside short life of 15 minutes, same problem.

• My Word program (Office Home & Student 2007) and Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 will not open

  They are programs listed, but not open.    Re-install does not help.   I create a Word document by deleting the text of an already existing and working on it.   Elements worked for a few months, then stopped.   Both were bought from sources in good faith.   I also have CS4, which is fine.

  I looked round some and found that some people with this issue had uninstall Google Desktop in order to get the issue resolved.  I suggest that you start with that and see if it solves the problem.  You can see if Google has a tool of suppression for him.  If this isn't the case, then you must use The Windows Installer Cleanup utility to uninstall.

  Normally, you would place the CD in the CD player and it would be autoplay and start the installation process.  If it does not start automatically, then look at the contents of the disk file by using any file manager software, you have for your system and see if you can find the installation/setup file.
