Adobe Reader MUI: Download & deploy

Hello

I need to deploy Adobe Reader X in 2 languages (EN + IN) on some computers. With Reader 9, I could install Reader EN and FR drive side-by-side on the same computer and then switch the user interface using preferences. X version I can not install more than one language on the same computer, but I read on the MUI version, which could correspond to my need.

Problem is that I can't find where to download this MUI version. When I go to the download page, I can download the reader in all possible languages, but no "MUI" does appear in the list.

So, I should I download and install EN, then apply the MUI? If so, where could I get this MUI?

Thank you!

You can use below mentioned command line to install Reader MUI with selected languages

msiexec /i 'Full Path to Reader MUI MSI' LANG_LIST = ENU, DEU, FRA, JPN

  • Adobe Reader MUI 10.1.3 1321 error

I posted this in the forum of firms but have had no luck getting an answer, so I'm reposting here, to see if I have some luck.

I'm currently deploy Adobe Reader MUI 10.1.3 and I see multiple machines fail the installation and error report 1321 (permissions issues). It is a problem because the installer deletes the previous version of the player and fails to install 10.1.3 that leaves the machine without player and results to the end user.  If I re - run the installation there is a good chance he'll get a different file with permission issues, in other words it is not always the same file, with what he gives an account of the permissions issues. Nevertheless, I manually confirmed permissions and owner on files and all parent folders are correct, but the installer will still report to the permission issues. I see this on Windows 7 x 64 SP1 and Windows XP SP3. The easiest way is to get the reader to successfully install by running the installation again and again to what (you have yet to make changes to the machine, just the shot until it installs successfully). With all this in mind, I suspect that the root cause of scanning in real-time to Mcafee, my guess is that it locks the file in its analysis and when the Adobe installer attempts to change the file, it fails because it is locked or in use by Mcafee. Usually, I would test this by disabling Mcafee, kickoff of the installer, but I am not able to do this for security reasons. I tried to run procmon to see exactly what access the files at that time, but whenever I start procmon that installation will randomly and I can't reproduce the problem if procmon is running. Anyone have any ideas on what I could do to help determine if it is in fact the origin of the problem of Mcafee? Or maybe another suggestion for what might be the cause?

I could solve this problem. See http://forums.adobe.com/message/4895858#4895858

  • Adobe Reader MUI 10.1.3 point Admin install will not install Adobe Reader MUI 10.1.2

I downloaded Adobe Reader MUI 10.1.3.msp and created a new admin for Player 10.1.3 point facility. I tested the installation with 9.0.4, 10.0.1 and 10.1.2 versions. I find that 10.1.3 will be straighter 9.04 and 10.0.1. I can remove 10.1.2 of the workstation and then do a clean install of 10.1.3 very well. When I try and run the 10.1.3 install on a system that has 10.1.2 on this installation fails with the following error "another version of the product is already installed. The installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove programs from the control panel. I think that the Sid/Quid in the MSI has not changed for the 10.1.3 installation and, therefore, the MSI 10.1.3 think it's really the 10.1.2 install and does not install on top of itself as expected. Correct installation of adobe reader 10.1.3

    Assuming that you have:

1 uninstalled all previous installations and

2 installed MUI Reader or reader located on all systems.

3 using the SCCM/SMS to get updates.

10.2 update would work as normal, without any problem.

    1. a localized 10.2 drive (most likely a full installer) would be uninstall the localized previous installation of the drive and install a fresh copy of Reader 10.2

    2. a Reader MUI 10.1.2 patch would update the current installation of Reader MUI on the system up to 10.2 without uninstalling the existing facilities.

  • Add the Adobe Reader free download link for my .pdf

One problem I have is the following:

I'll have my .pdf file, I created a web page or an e-mail with a download, the client clicks on the link to download the .pdf file, but they do not have the reader free Adobe installed on their computer, so my question is this:

How do I create a link to my .pdf that when clicked... checks automatically if the recipient has the free Adobe Reader software installed, if so has chosen it will be given to open the file in Adobe Reader or download as a file, if the free Adobe Reader don't IS NOT installed on their computer, it will offer them the possibility to download and install the reader to properly view the .pdf or cancel free Adobe and just download the file is it possible or am I dreaming?

No, you can't do any of this... just send a PDF and let nature take its course. You can give people advice of course.

Almost everyone now has a PDF Viewer any. Anyone with a Mac, Windows 8 or later version, Chrome, FireFox, iPad, iPhone, Android... but the Viewer is not usually Adobe Reader (now called Acrobat Reader).

  • Adobe Reader Enterprise XI deploy - disable display PDF in browser?

It seems to be conflicting information on Adobe Reader XI and how to preconfigure the 'turn off display pdf in browser '.

The company Administration Kit Guide says that you can do through the MSI property:

    DISABLE_BROWSER_INTEGRATION = YES

However, the acrobat help, says you can ONLY do it manually via individual add-ons.

I have the version redestributable of Adobe, and I used the Business Guide to the AIP and used the Customization Wizard to create the package and uses the line of properties when the msi is installed to turn off the display

    While it is right?

No it's not. Acrobat help is for end users. The ETK is for admins. Follow the ETK for config and deploy guidelines.

  • Unable to download any version of Adobe Reader

Hi, hope you can help. I can't get any version of Adobe Reader to download. After spending hours trying every way all I get is the same error message "installation error" then ' the patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access '? I am quite at a loss, and I am desperate to get my course work flow as some has been converted to pdf. My system is Windows XP - SP3. Thank you very much... certainly a model IT.

Try to download the offline installer of

    http://get.Adobe.com/reader/Enterprise/

After downloading, restart your computer and run the Setup program before anything else.

Where you previously had other versions of reader on your computer, it may be a good idea to remove them all before you do the above. You can use this tool:

  • Update of Adobe Reader 9.5 'all languages '.

    Hello

I know it was a topic, but we need the Adobe Reader 9.5 (not complete installation) update for the "All languages" version, not the MUI version. I know that it exists, but not 'all languages' a.

Are there? I know that in another topic, an employee of Adobe said that we must install the full version to have 9.5. But with a company almost 25,000 of computers, it worries me a little.

And I needed to be in french.

Can someone help me on this please?

    Thank you!

    Eric

    Hello

Adobe Reader 9.5 can be installed on any existing version of player before her. Therefore, it should be treated as a regular update with some additional features and improvements.

To install the French update, go to http://get.adobe.com/reader/otherversions/ and select the appropriate configuration.

Otherwise, you can go to ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/ and download the installer of your choice and deploy it on all the computers in your business, how you want.

    Hope that's enough.

Update: It's been two months since my original post, and it has finally been verified that my theory was correct. After access to Mcafee (v.8.8) scanning has been disabled I never experienced any of the problems above. For example, I had a test box who have experienced the problems I described in my original post and drive failed to install more than 450 times (Yes, this number is accurate); After access Mcafee scanning has been disabled, the installation succeeded.

  • Recently no matter what I do, Firefox does not allow me to use Adobe Reader rather than his own

I used to be able to display pdf documents using Adobe Reader instead of Firefox built in. I tried everything that you suggest and what Adobe suggest. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader (11.0.09). I went to the options of Mozilla, but when I try to change the settings of Document Portable, I don't get the option "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)". I get the Adobe forms but not for PDF documents. If I change to use Adobe Reader, it downloads and then open drive which is not I want. I want to use the plugin installed (I go to modules and it is installed and "always enable").

Help? This only started happening in the last month or two. I use the latest version of Firefox (33.0.2), Windows 7 (updated with all the updates, etc.).

I did a Reset Firefox. Then reactivated the plugins. Now he works with the Adobe Acrobat plugin, even if Firefox think (at least according to the Options-> Applications) that he uses the Foxit plugin. It does not give me the option to select the Macromedia software. But which loads when I access a PDF file!

As long as there is the work, I don't care on this issue.

Before that I started posting here, I already tried to uninstall and reinstall Firefox, uninstall and reinstall Adobe Reader, by removing the file pluginreg.dat, etc. and everything that I could find on the Mozilla site, the Adobe site and the rest of the web.

Thank you for all your help.

I have a PC using Windows XPproSP3 as its operating system.  Adobe Reader v10.1.3 is installed on my machine. When to use Windows Explorer to view a directory containing several *. PDF files and I ask then my mouse over a file and a simple left click to select this file, Windows Task Manager shows me that the system immediately starts opening copies of AcroRd32.exe (in pairs) and continues to do so until the PC is out of memory.  The PDF in question is not actually opened.
