Finally, dual band connection now works. must be router problems, have done a reset on the router to its factory settings and everything is ok now... Thank you all...

Hi, RMJ, since you have an AC router, it may be better to purchase a power adapter as well. In this way, the optimal speed and a range that offers the router can be reached. You can check WUSB6300 and AE6000,http://store.linksys.com/products/linksys-adapters_stcVVcatId552067VVviewcat.htm. Hope that helps.

  • Lack of wireless and wireless adapter led remains Orange. Help

Dropped my laptop, nothing broken, but now my wireless adapter is missing and cannot be found in the Device Manager or the wireless connections screen.

My wireless button is orange instead of its normal blue light and clicking it does not change it to blue light.

Everything that is displayed in the network card in my device manager is my ethernet (Realtek RTL8102E/8103E family PCI) and not my wireless LAN that allows to display.

Also, the wireless adapter is not found in the---> Mobile PC Control Panel---> adjust commonly used mobility settings. HP Network Assistant also does not work, I have also uninstalled and reinstalled.

At the start screen, I get a notice indicating that the Wireless Module is not found.

Here's what I did so far, but without success:

    (1) upgrade to the latest version of the BIOS
    (2) Made that wireless LAN is enabled in the BIOS screen
    (3) guarantees that there aren't any errors in the network adapter in Device Manager
    (4) ensure disabled in power management in the Device Manager
    (5) downloaded updates of wireless network card driver
    (6) restoration of the system to a working condition previously.
    7) opened the back of the computer on which the wireless module is and reinstalled it just in case he moved his place when the laptop has fallen. I did it by unscrewing the wireless module and back into position.

I did this and my wireless adapter is still not found. If she showed upward then at least I can turn it on if it had become invalid, but this is not yet the case. Outside, nothing is broken. So I have no idea on what to do.

    Please, please, please help.

    Hello

    Perform a hard reset

1 disconnect all devices and remove all USB devices and multimedia cards.
2 disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery and then press in and hold the button for at least 1 minute.
3 reconnect the power adapter (do not connect the battery), press the switch and check is this problem is solved or not.

When it will not work then try to unmount and mount the wireless card.

  • How to activate the wireless adapter

I currently have a HP Pavilion 17 computer laptop with Windows 7 Professional.  A few times in the past in the unit's wireless adapter stopped working.  I don't remember what I did to get it working again, then however at this time I can not activate even if I followed all the steps to change the settings of the adapter on the network and sharing Center.  When I select Connect, it simply shows that it is not connected.  Nothing I have tried seems to help.  I have a unit of Belkin Wi - Fi that works and my laptop runs as long as I have an Ethernet cable connected.  However if I disconnect the cable from the laptop does not connect via wireless adapter.  In the past he would always stay connected to the Wi - Fi connection even if I disconnected the cable.  Please give me any thoughts you had to solve it.  Thanks in advance for your efforts and help.

I just wanted to know that I found the solution to my problem with the help of a response of the same issue posted last year.  Repeated pressing the F12 key with the picture of an airplane on the wireless card.  Forgive my ignorance, but thanks to all who took time to try to help me.

  • Cannot connect Stor.E Wireless Adapter + 1 TB HDD in my laptop

I recently bought a Stor.e wireless adapter for use with my partner Stor.e 1 TB HDD laptop but I can't seem to connect to my laptop.

If I plug the HARD drive directly into my laptop everything appears also ok but if I connect via the wireless adapter that shows nothing. the instructions that come with the adapter are very poor, but after following the instructions stating "plug drive HARD adapter using the USB cable then plug taken adapter (AC power), the LED flashes of HARD drive and the lights on the wireless adapter showing 1, 2 green, solid = power, wireless = 3 green, strong." USB = blue.

The disc shows hard on my Android phone and the android Tablet but won't connect, when you perform a scan for wireless on my laptop devices, the adapter cannot be found.

I sent twice, the support from Toshiba on July 5 and July 10, but have not received the courtesy of a response although confirmation of receipt of my e-mail, so for them we will get back to you in the DAY a statement.

ANY help with this problem would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Stor.E WLan adapter extends a USB HDD with the ability to access data stored via a WLan connection.
This means that you must activate your WLan on your laptop and configure the Stor.E WLan adapter first.

The 3 LEDS have the following meaning:
Above 1 LED is on / off and lights up green if the adapter is running
The LED 2 is WiFi link and turns green where wi - fi access has been established.
The 3rd (first from the bottom) lights up blue when the HARD drive is mounted. Flashing LED means read/write mode.

    How to connect?
Connect adapter to Canvio Stor.E WLan adapt to the B USB 2.0 (near the reset button) microphone connector and connect the USB HDD to the type A USB 2.0 connector.

You will need to activate the laptop s Wlan and press the reset button (hold it long 4 sec). The Wireless settings, you should see the Canvio Stor.E open wireless card that you connect access point.

Then, in the Web browser using IP address: "http://198.168.65.1" to access the settings page of the Canvio Stor.E wireless adapter.

In the preview, you can see the current version of the firmware, storage devices, network access point information.

The list of devices shows detailed information on connected devices.
Within the network, you can find the devault sotre.e wireless adapter network settings

Now, you can use an Android application called Toshiba Wireless Adapter to move files on the HARD drive connected to the WiFi adapter from your smartphone.

You can also map the card wifi as a network drive in Windows system.
In type of Explorer: \\198.168.65.1. then right-click and choose map network drive.
In a new window, select the application letter to the new drive (Z) and click the Finish button.

  • Want to M6 1225DX: updated HP Envy M6 1225DX wireless adapter

I'm looking to upgrade the card wireless in my HP Envy M6 1225DX.  Here are a few features on the machine:

    Product # D1E93UA #ABA

    CPU: Intel i5 - 3230M @ 2.6GHz

    RAM: 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM

    GPU: Intel HD graphics 4000

Wireless: Ralink RT5390R 802.11bgn Wifi adapter

OS: Windows 7 x 64 (I know that HP does not support this)

    BIOS version: F.26

The wireless adapter that is currently installed (Ralink RT5390R) only supports SISO and the download speed tops out around 18-20Mbps.  I'm looking to replace this card with a card compatible MIMO and bluetooth, for example a 7260 Intel.

I read on several forums that HP basically whitelists some cards wireless in BIOS.  I have reviewed the maintenance manual and it has a list of compatible cards I listed below:

    • Atheros WiFi 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 9485GN and 3012 adapter Bluetooth 4.0
    • Atheros 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 Bluetooth adapter Combo WB225
    • Broadcom 4313GN 1 × 1 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 adapter 802.11b/g/n 20702
    • Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N WLAN 6230
    • MediaTek MT7630E 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter and adapter Mediatek Bluetooth 4.0
    • 1 × 1 Ralink RT5390R 802.11b/g/n WiFi adapter
    • RALink RT3290LE 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 690020-001 1 × 1
    • Atheros AR9565 1 × 1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Adapter 802.11b/g/n
    • Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 WLAN for the Japan only

These are the only cards I can run in this machine?  I also read somewhere that HP no wireless adapter like whitelisting in the BIOS, and if that's the case, would a BIOS update fixed this problem?

I've been watching the 7260 Intel, but I don't know if it would work and would not order it and he has no job.   This adapter could work in this phone or I am I'm confined to the list given in the service manual?  If I'm limited to the above list, no matter what recommendatins to the adapter that will give me what I'm looking for?

Basically, what I'm looking for in a wireless adapter is:

    • Supports A/B/G/N and AC at 2.4 Ghz and 5.8 Ghz bands.
    • More high speed possible
    • Bluetooth 4.0
    • 1/2 height Mini PCIe form factor

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your m6-1225dx HP ENVY Notebook and supported wireless cards. Yes, these are the cards that are supported in your notebook and fortunately will work with your graphics card and processor.  Some say that just restore BIOS to factory default help if you decide to go with your choice.

You could restore the BIOS withthis document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings.

    Hello

If you have the card WLAN MiniPCI Agere, the system needs to install the following registry key with the WLAN card driver:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE es\Pcmcia\Parameters]
    "IrqRouteToPciController" = dword:00000006

I found a statement of installation:

    1. new installation of Windows XP Service Pack 2 package
or clean install Windows XP Gold package and install Service Pack 2 update image on it.
2 copy the TICardBusIrqRouting.reg on the system, and then click the file on the system.
    3. the following window will appear,
"Are you sure that you want to add the information in xxxxx\DISABL ~ 1.REG in the registry.
    Then select "Yes".
xxxxx is the location of TICardBusIrqRouting.reg
    4. the next window will appear,
"Information in xxxxx\DISABL ~ 1.REG have been entered in the register."
    Then click on 'OK '.
xxxxx is the location of TICardBusIrqRouting.reg
    5 restart the system

  • Wireless adapter has disappeared on my Satellite C660-22V

Hi, I am very well to this new and have knowledge on this SUBJECT.

The situation is, my computer had a problem turning on and the opportunity to restore to a previous point in time, that I continued with. After the completion of this and that the computer opens completely, the wireless adapter is no longer meet!

I tried to look in the network and sharing Center, there is no option for a wireless adapter, only one ethernet adapter unplugged.

I also looked in the Device Manager and I cannot find any mention of the wireless adapter, I expected to be there with a yellow icon, that means a driver problem, but it is not there at all!

The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C660-22V

    Thank you!
    Tom

    > I also looked in the Device Manager and I cannot find any mention of the wireless adapter, I expected to be there with a yellow icon, that means a driver problem, but it is not there at all!

What devices appear in Device Manager under the category network cards?
    Is any unknown device visible?

To my knowledge, this Satellite C660-22V has been fitted with a 802.11(b/g/n) of Realtek RTL8188CE WLan card.

For installation of the driver Realtek RTL8188CE WLan should help to make it work (of course, just in case a missing driver would be the problem)

By the way: what system are you using?

  • Slow WiFi on Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 wireless adapter on HP Pavilion 500-120EA 8.1 Windows

This wireless adapter is extremely slow that causes ping high during the game. The game I tried was League of legends. The artheros adapter showed the ping MS 1000 +.

So I decided to see if the necessary driver updated. When you go to Device Manager to update, it showed that she needed no updates.  Also checked on the hp site and it showed that I have the latest version of the driver. So I checked the Atheros website and I didn't have the latest version of the driver. So I intalled the latest driver at 10.0.0.263 10.0.0.270.

Yet once I tried the game to see if there is an improvement with Internet and again he showed my ping 1000 + Ms. has not changed at all. No improvement.

I did troubleshoot and it sort of something I do not know what but. No change.

I also changed the powersaver maximum for the wireless card. No change.

Several times I looked at task manager network, it shows send and receive to be at 16/08/32 Kbps or sometimes even zero Kbps. The table looks very small and its value on the chart was of 100 Kbps.

However, I don't see a difference during the videos to youtube or browsing the Internet. Here, the speed is very good. Even during the speedtest, speed showed a ping from 43ms. sending / receiving packets are indicated in 00' sKbps Mbps. The table is not stable it flucatuates strongly.

So I change my card a blekin N300 wireless and all the problems I've had are solved. The ping playing League of legends is 40-70 m send it / receive packets similar to the atheros AR9485 rae but I've seen go up to 88 Kbps at its highest level.

So what can I do to fix the Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 wireless adapter?

    Any help is appreciated.

    What can I do else?

Just an update to someone else who has had this problem for the channel 11 wireless channel setting should do the trick.

  • Satellite A660 - Broadcom internal wireless adapter does not work

    Hi all

My first post to this forum - I have a new laptop of Toshiba Satellite A660 - only had for about 4 weeks and it turns out be a disaster for me...

Firstly - I spend weeks getting everything on and configured as I want - then the hard drive begins to die...

I just returned it service center Toshiba and NOW wifi has stopped working...
Internal broadcom wireless adapter doesn't work - but according to windows and built-in Diagnostics it works...

HOWEVER - when I try to use wireless with the built-in adapter may not detect all wireless networks...

I then plug in my adapter netgear usb wireless backup and I can pick up and connect both of my wireless home networks...
I am moving abroad in a few weeks and need to know that my laptop will work/be reliable and not have any problems-if anyone can help me with this, it would be much appreciated.

    John.

Before starting the scan for available wireless networks you have activated WLAN card correctly?
Orange is WHAT turned on WIFI?

  • Re: Unable to get the wireless adapter to work on my Satellite L550-1CC

I'm getting bored with this laptop, I reinstalled windows 7 (32 bit) and can not get the wireless adapter to work.

My router settings are perfect, my netbook is zero connection problems - the router is just inches away from the laptop most of the time - the laptop insists that there is "no available networks."

This of course is BS, before I reinstalled windows I could pick up 3 other neighbouring networks as well as mine.

Windows automatically installed the wireless network - I thought that could be the problem, so I downloaded the realtek driver directly.

No difference. Always the small icon with Red Cross barred through it.

I thought it could have been a hot key problem - so I installed the flash card driver that apparently controls the access keys (for some reason any).

Shortcut keys still don't work - I could really care about that - it's just the wireless network I need.

Thanks for any help I receive.

    > my netbook has zero connection problems - the router is just inches away from the laptop most of the time - yet the laptop insists there is "no available networks."
After reading this sentence, I'm a bit confused. If there is no available WLAN networks how your laptop had zero problems to connect?

    One last thing:
    > Of course is BS, before I reinstalled windows I could pick up 3 other neighbouring networks as well as mine.
What is the difference between the old and the new installation of Windows?

In general the WLAN use is fairly simple.
Wireless network card - must be installed correctly (listed in Device Manager
WLAN card - must be enabled using FN + F8 key combination to activate the wireless network card
-scan the available WLAN networks area, click on the button of your WLAN and use connect
-put key WLAN if necessary and after a few seconds WLAN connection will work

I did this many times on laptops preinstalled Win7 and didn't have any problems. On all laptop computers pre-installed with Toshiba recovery image (factory settings) is not necessary to change the WLAN settings.
