Wireless adapter has disappeared on my Satellite C660-22V

Hi, I am very well to this new and have knowledge on this SUBJECT.

The situation is, my computer had a problem turning on and the opportunity to restore to a previous point in time, that I continued with. After the completion of this and that the computer opens completely, the wireless adapter is no longer meet!

I tried to look in the network and sharing Center, there is no option for a wireless adapter, only one ethernet adapter unplugged.

I also looked in the Device Manager and I cannot find any mention of the wireless adapter, I expected to be there with a yellow icon, that means a driver problem, but it is not there at all!

The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite C660-22V

Thank you!
Tom

> I also looked in the Device Manager and I cannot find any mention of the wireless adapter, I expected to be there with a yellow icon, that means a driver problem, but it is not there at all!

What devices appear in Device Manager under the category network cards?
Is any unknown device visible?

To my knowledge, this Satellite C660-22V has been fitted with a 802.11(b/g/n) of Realtek RTL8188CE WLan card.

For installation of the driver Realtek RTL8188CE WLan should help to make it work (of course, just in case a missing driver would be the problem)

By the way: what system are you using?

Where a problem? Satellite C660-22V supports Intel graphics cards.
Visit the Intel page to get the latest graphics driver.

  • Re: Unable to get the wireless adapter to work on my Satellite L550-1CC

I'm getting bored with this laptop, I reinstalled windows 7 (32 bit) and can not get the wireless adapter to work.

My router settings are perfect, my netbook is zero connection problems - the router is just inches away from the laptop most of the time - the laptop insists that there is "no available networks."

This of course is BS, before I reinstalled windows I could pick up 3 other neighbouring networks as well as mine.

Windows automatically installed the wireless network - I thought that could be the problem, so I downloaded the realtek driver directly.

No difference. Always the small icon with Red Cross barred through it.

I thought it could have been a hot key problem - so I installed the flash card driver that apparently controls the access keys (for some reason any).

Shortcut keys still don't work - I could really care about that - it's just the wireless network I need.

Thanks for any help I receive.

    > my netbook has zero connection problems - the router is just inches away from the laptop most of the time - yet the laptop insists there is "no available networks."
After reading this sentence, I'm a bit confused. If there is no available WLAN networks how your laptop had zero problems to connect?

    One last thing:
    > Of course is BS, before I reinstalled windows I could pick up 3 other neighbouring networks as well as mine.
What is the difference between the old and the new installation of Windows?

In general the WLAN use is fairly simple.
Wireless network card - must be installed correctly (listed in Device Manager
WLAN card - must be enabled using FN + F8 key combination to activate the wireless network card
-scan the available WLAN networks area, click on the button of your WLAN and use connect
-put key WLAN if necessary and after a few seconds WLAN connection will work

I did this many times on laptops preinstalled Win7 and didn't have any problems. On all laptop computers pre-installed with Toshiba recovery image (factory settings) is not necessary to change the WLAN settings.

    RTEOttawa, welcome to the forum.

I suggest to delete and reinstall the wireless card.  It can only solve your problem.  Sometimes a small problem has occurred which can be fixed by this solution simply.  If this does not work, you may need to buy a new card or other wireless adapter.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

  • My router shows that my wireless adapter has put in place 3 connections.

My internet access is by wireless adapter.  When checking my list DHCP from the router, I found that for my laptop I got 3 IP addresses. My bandwidth decreased incredibly and I assume that it is part of the problem.  I checked my network connections and I found I have 3 connections, but only one is listed as being active.  I can't delete the other two.

Is it possible to fix this?

This seems to indicate that the PC is connected (rebooted summer?) 3 times and each time the router has assigned a different address even if it still has the previous addresses in its table. A router should normally reassign the same address, so this may indicate a problem with the router.

  • Satellite C660-22V guard disconnect from the internet

    Hello

I've had my toshiba c660-22v laptop for about a year and I just moved into a new House recently with a new internet provider.

I have trouble maintaining an internet connection.
Every so often, my laptop will disconnect the wifi.
My roommates have no problem with the internet either.

The only way I can put internet on my laptop is unplug the router of the socket and plug again.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    > The only way I can put internet on my laptop is unplug the router of the socket and plug again.

In my view, this has nothing to do with your laptop.
It seems that the problem is related to the new router.

By the way: I guess you have not had any problems with your laptop before moving to the new home. Right?

  • Re: Wireless LAN network has disappeared on my Satellite L655

    Toshiba Satellite L655-1EM

My computer is unable to find wireless networks. It was working fine the other day, but does not work when you connect today. I tried FN & F8 but does nothing.

It does not show a wireless network card in Device Manager.

I tried to restore to a point when he worked last and nothing happened.

I even tried to download a driver later and it still does not work.

I would appreciate any suggestions or advice on what happened and how I can solve this problem.

    Thank you.

    > It does not show a wireless network card in Device Manager.
Which is really strange. Your laptop should have Realtek WLAN card inside.
Some unknown device is listed in Device Manager?

  • Wireless link has disappeared from the Sony laptop, XP, but the link still works on Vista computer. However, Sony can still detect other networks.

I have a Sony notebook 'dated', XP Professional, Service Pack 3, using a Netgear wireless router. It has worked well for years, but last week, in the middle of a session, I suddenly lost the wireless signal. The router works fine with the other, my Vista computer. The strange thing is that Sony can see other networks in the building and sometimes also my network, but does not connect. When I try to manually connect the connection disappears again.

Were there an XP update that may possibly be the cause or is there another explanation?

    Hi SveinD99,

Thanks for posting. The first thing I would recommend you do is go to the website of the manufacturer and the redownload and install driver wireless. I would also contact the manufacturer to see if they have diagnoses of material that they work to test and make sure that the material is healthy and working properly.

    I hope this helps.

  • MS Office has stopped working on Satellite C660

Its the family version premium which was pre installed when bought last November.
Everything has been great so far.

I have not added any new software and tried to reinstall to factory settings but no luck. error message reads as follows:

Cannot be opened. Try again or fix it in Control Panel.

    Anyone got any ideas please?

    Hello

Perhaps the trial version of MS Office is not valid more.
As far as I know if Windows 7 is available for this model MS Works and MS Office Trial or loan are preinstalled.

What version do you have? Full evaluation version or version?
I guess you don t have records of MS Office. Right?

Well, in such cases, either you try to turn the BONE to this early time before MS Office worked or you try to retrieve the laptop using the recovery disk or recovery disk.
