The list of updates pending installation are KB978207, KB974470, KB971644, KB972270, KB905866, KB960362 and KB890830. My system is connected to the network with 3 PCs and all are licensed copy.
Hello
Welcome to the Forums Community Microsoft and thanks for posting the question.
According to the description, you get an error message "FAILED CONNECTION USER INIT" after installing Windows updates.
From my research, this problem occurs if the Userinit key in the Windows registry has been changed. For example, this problem may occur if the Userinit key has a value, but no binary data.
I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below.
Method 1:
Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
Step 2: Check the value and binary Userinit registry data
Important: The following instructions contain the steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information, view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
Back up the registry
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/back-up-the-registrya. start Registry Editor. To do this, click Start, type regedit in the search box and press ENTER.
b. click continue.
c. Locate and then click the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
d. in the right pane, right-click Userinit, and then click change.
e. in the value data box, type hard disk:\Windows\System32\userinit.exe, and then click OK.
Note: The placeholder of the hard drive refers to the drive on which Windows Vista is installed.
f. close the registry editor.
g. restart the computer.
Method 2:
Restore the system to an earlier point before installing this application.
System Restore can return your files system to a point in time before you noticed a problem, without affecting documents, photos, or other personal files. If the system restore does not resolve the problem, you can undo the restore operation and choose a different restore point.

lost touch pad dell drivers after installing Windows updates.
Separated from this thread.
I did the update and lost contact dell drivers pad and now I can't play all the games that I got on the computer. The previous update lost my sound card drivers.
Hi Craig,.
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community forums.
I'm sorry to know that you are facing problems after installing Windows updates.
Any Windows specific update which is the origin of the problem or you face the problem after installing updates? This is to check if the updates you receive are associated with hard devices.
To view your history of update, follow these steps:
a. open Windows Update by sliding into the right edge of the screen (or, if you are using a mouse, pointing to the corner bottom right of the screen, move the mouse upward), tapping or clicking on settings, tapping or clicking change PC settingsand then by typing or clicking on update and recovery.b. press or click view update history.
I wish that you install the Dell Web site touchpad drivers.
You can refer to this article for the procedure: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=1JW07
In addition, if all of the updates are at the origin of the problems with the hardware on the PC, then I suggest you also update the drivers from the Dell Web site chipset.

I am a user of Final Draft 7 (writer) - not a computer expert. I allowed the updates to be downloaded and installed, and suddenly my screenwriting software gives me an error message that says 'Windows has shut down to final draft' and if there is a solution, I will be notified, but then nothing happens. I know I look stupid, but I don't have the time to become an expert on Windows. I need my software to work with Windows to do my job! Anyone know why this is happening and what I can do about it? Get his problem after installing windows update on May 18, 2016
Original title: updated 18/06/2016
Has anyone else been having sound problems with the new batch of updates? I tried to download the drivers, but that didn't work and now I had to restore my system from the 18th daily. Any ideas on how to identify the update is the cause or what driver I may have missed? My computer is a Dell Latitude E5420, running 64-bit Windows 7 Prof. Any other information needed let me know. Thank you!
Hello
According to the description, I understand that you are facing the problem in your computer after Windows installation updated May 18, 2016.
Yes, you can view the installed update so that you can identify the updates that are installed in May 18, 2016.
Please follow the steps to see updates history in Windows 7:
Click the Start button.
Then select Control Panel > programs.
And then, under programs and features.
Select view installed updates.
View update installed please check that the update installed in May 18, 2016 and uninstall the update one & check if the sound is working well and find the culprit, update.
Please follow the methods described below to check if it helps:
Method 1: perform a Clean boot and install Windows Update.
If its a major update, I recommend you put the computer in a clean boot state and install it again in order to minimize interference that could cause this noise problem.
Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.
How to perform a clean boot in Windows
Note: see 'How do I reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting' to reset the computer starts normally after troubleshooting.
Method 2: uninstall and reinstall the Sound Driver.
- Press Windows + X key.
- Type devmgmt.msc (to open Device Manager)
- Find and select the audio driver.
- Right click on the driver.
- Uninstall the audio driver.
Windows automatically installs the generic driver, otherwise I recommend you download & install audio driver on the website of the manufacturer to check if it helps.
Hope this information is useful, if the problem persists please write us back with the quick information so that we can help you further.

Original title: missing file
whenever I start my PC, I lose it a file. It all started after a microsoft on seven 21 update. I restored it for just before the update and it's ok, then it auto updated again and I had to restore it once more. I then turned off automatically updated and not to do one and it restarted ok once or twice, then he started again without updating
is the file that is missing
C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\desktop
After that, the error message reads * above * refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or network. Make sure disk is inserted correctly, or that you are connected to the internet or your network, and then try again. If still cannot be found the information could have been moved to another location
If I lose my office as well as my anti-virus gives me an error and my slow short mouse.
