  After the upgrade to 10.5.8 10.6.1 and Fusion 2.0.5 at 2.0.6b1, I have an exclamation point on my VMWare tools, saying they can be upgraded. What WMWare Tools opening and clicking on update of the tools, the window closes, but nothing happens. Even after a reboot. The WM is XP Pro. Any ideas?

  Hi Doc,

  It is possible that the iso is mounted, but not by force. After you have restarted the VM, click again on install VMware Tools in the Virtual Machine menu, then open my computer and watch your optical drive. It should say VMware Tools. Double-click it to start the installation of the VMware Tools.

• vSphere upgrade: VM tools/hw and VMFS

  Hi all

  Just have a quick question (I hope).  We went through the process of upgrading our servers of Mgmt (vcenter, update of crèche, SRM) 5.1.  We have also already updated all our ESX host to 5.1.  We are upgrading an environment of 4.1.

  My question is if there is any order (favorite or otherwise) when the upgrade of the vm (Tools/hw) and VMFS?  All our warehouses are VMFS3.

  I thought before that VMFS was the next step in the upgrade, but after reviewing the documentation below, looks like they're completely independent and no matter in what order they're done.   (I realize that when we realize the vmtools/hw upgrade, we improve vmtools first, then the hardware vm.)

  Our plan for the upgrade of VMFS had to use storage vmotion and roll through all data warehouses by disabling out them, given in form from scratch and before proceeding to the next.

  Just a little tip: ALWAYS update your first management servers (and not the reverse).

  VMtools and VMFS are totally indepednent.  You can do them in any order, and they in fact are not necessary at all.

• Cannot run any application system as anything in the administration tools, network and sharing Center, Device Manager. No problem running the applications Office, IE, etc.

  Vista Ultimate, 32-bit, SP2 had worked perfectly for two months. Machine set up to now and when started the first time, no network connection and my video wallpaper stops with an error message that says to reboot. The 2nd restart, I get internet connectivity, no wallpaper at all and no access to system applications that are listed in the title line.

  I can open Documents and navigate around, click computer and see the disks, etc., right click on computer and view the properties, but it shows no RAM and processor. If I click on Device Manager on this window, it crashes just forever unless I have kill with Task Manager.

  I had Windows Live Onecare on this machine and it expired during the period, it was closed. No problem... I plan to install MSE.

  Originally, I installed a smaller version of Vista of CD (still have it) but upgraded to Ultimate online and is not a product for this upgrade CD.

  I need to know where to start on fixing Vista so that it works correctly.

  It is better that you have the Vista Ultimate DVD, so I suggest you ask the DVD from the dealer.

  I suggest you to do a scan of the SFC. File system (CFS) Auditor verifies that all Windows 7 system files are where they should be as they are by default and not corrupted, changed or damaged.

  b. click on continue or provide administrator credentials if prompted.

• Envy 15-c101dx: 8.1 Windows reset always available after upgrade to Windows 10 and refreshment?

  I tried to troubleshoot and fix a driver of hareware problem that was discovered after doing the upgrade of Windows 10 Windows 8.1. Before updating my system, I was warned by the software that I would not be able to return to Windows 8.1 if I did the update with the upgrade of Windows 10 still installed. My question is if Windows 10 also stop me from going back to Windows 8 if I did a reset of the system?

  I played it safe and restored back to 8.1 for Windows before you reset this time, but this will delay upgrading me to Windows 10 in confidence (1 month to try it is not a lot of time).

It shows me that your system is compatible with Windows 10 drivers. It tells you which driver he would have a problem with?

  Hi everyone - I've recently upgraded to a new PC in Windows 8 and I have terrible problems with my printer HP Laserjet 4100, which worked perfectly before XP.

D - Link says there is no new driver for Windows 8, but the adapter worked for 6 days.  Have 8 machines to be upgraded, a second has the same problem.  Got an adapter Wireless USB TP-Link and after a flawless installation always get no networks found.  Device Mgr shows everything as well.

  It appears Windows 8, once Windows Update cannot use any network adapter.

  After working with support for a very long time, we have determined the following:

  It seems that if the first network card driver fails to install correctly (in this case, the Ethernet adapter embedded knew incompatible), Windows 8 will not start the Service WLAN or it launches the application and it crashes (stuck in a wait state) and then even if install subsequent fine wireless network cards and look in the Device Manager they are not available for the system.
  Even if the network adapter has failed is disabled (via the Devcon command or through the user interface), it always causes failure of the WLAN service and subsequent failures to occur.  The user must obtain map of defective network out of the category network adapters in Device Manager by asking the driver updated and when the update fails, the system then puts the device in the unknown category.  If the user then turns the unknown device, that's alright then.
  The sequence is:
  1. start the system
  2. Once completed, there is no network connectivity and the incompatible adapter is in one State does not work in Device Manager.
  3. in Device Manager asks the updated driver for the incompatible device.  The update fails and the device is put in the category unknown and removed from the category network adapters in Device Manager.
  4. in the Device Manager, disable the unknown device.
  5 restart the system and the network card bad remains a device disabled, unknown and thus becomes the first met NIC wireless adapter that installs and initializes all right.

  Everything works fine across reboots and stop / start cycles.

• After sleep, black scroll bars and sliding bars are invisible?

  I use Adobe Reader DC on an installation of business weeks Win10.   Versions of Firefox 3.6 + have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.

  Press the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open view > toolbars and select menu bar, so it has a check mark.

• My computer is VERY slow after upgrade to El Capitan, and especially after I have downloaded MS Office 2016
