WRT54G ignorant transfer

I have disabled the Windows Firewall, I have no firewall protection or the third-party virus. I put my computer to DMZ... aaand I get ports 135, 139, and 445, and that's all!

I have even passed and unDMZed and transferred ontop of DMZ, nothing. Public static or unstatic.

My WRT54G is V8 performer 8.00.7 (Yes, I did the reset button 30 sec + 30 sec unplug)

The modem is a Westell with routing, but I disabled it the Routing and set it to bridged Ethernet. The PPPoE crosses the WRT54G.

MTU to auto, it sets to 1492.

If I run my PC with just the Westell I get timeouts on the port of controls, if I run it bridged and DMZ with the WRT54G I have CLOSED all ports except for 135, 139, and 445.

All computers on the network are automatic transfer fails.

1 DMZ transfers all ports that are not transferred in the opposite case. All ports configured on the port forwarding page are always transmitted a.100 and never a.104

2 transfer. you the ports 27000-27215, 80, 110, 21, 139 a.100

However, there is nothing running on ports 27000-27215, 80, 21, 110. The only active port is TCP 139.

If you run the scan of port and you run any other firewall on the computer, you should see the transferred ports as closed. All ports can be closed or covered up (I think that your router does not respond that it is stealth).

So, if it seems to me as if what you see on the online port scanner is entirely correct: it shows the ports closed because these ports are closed on your computer, you don't have anything running on ports. Transfer do not "open" ports. It only passes the ports. The ports appear in the State, as they appear on the computer. If the port on the computer is closed transfer will not be 'open '.

  • Transfer of poor LAN WRT54G

I have a network home, consisting of an XP SP2 machine connected to a WRT54G Router and a MacBook, wireless connection. I have excellent signal strength and can connect to the internet without any problem, but rates of transfer between the two machines will never larger than 2 MB/s.

I checked with speedtest.net and debits on my MacBook using the Wi - Fi connection are almost as high as my Wired PC, so I suspect it has something to do with some LAN settings.

    Any ideas will be appreciated.

Even if g wireless has a 'connection' of 54 Mbps speed, the actual maximum transmission speed is about 25 Mbps in ideal laboratory conditions (read: not in your House).    27 Mbps (27 megabits per second) = about 3 MB/s (3 megabytes per second).

2 MB/s, you reach approximately 67% of the maximum value in ideal laboratory conditions.  This is about as good as most home users can get.

To get faster speeds, make data transfers "computer cables" to "wired computer", which is expected to reach about 7 to 9 Mbps.

Otherwise, upgrade your router and wireless network card wireless-n, which can reach about 2 7 MB/s data transfer.

  • Windows Easy Transfer of file still works after ignoring documents

I'm going from Windows XP pro to Windows 7.  I downloaded the Windows easy file transfer software on my XP machine.

I'm running the transfer to a USD drive.   At the end of the transfer there are errors that 88 documents and 2 programs would not transfer.  I hit 'Skip' to all the documents and programs.

It's been three hours since I skipped the files and the transfer is not yet done.  He said 'time of 1 minute transfer' in the right corner of the screen because I skipped files.

  • Unable to transfer backup TM to a to an another DHM DHM

    I use an iMac 24 "(early 2009) / 2, 66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo / 8 GB 1067 MHZ DDR3"

My internal HDD 640 GB and I use a DHM Lacie Minimus 2To for backup with TM since 2012.

My iMac runs OS X 10.11.6

My internal HDD is running out of space, so I intend to use my EDH 2To for usage of storage and backup TM, I bought a new 4 TB Lacie P9233 DHM.

Therefore, I am trying to transfer my backup old 2To JEP JEP 4To again TM.

The two DHM connected directly (without external hub) by USB2 to the iMac.

Both are in Mac OS extended (journaled) format with a GUID partition.

I tried several methods that all failure: (note: between each test, I deleted the new JEP with disk utility application)

Method 1-Apple support - Time Machine: how to transfer backups from a current backup disk on a new backup drive - Apple supported

Correctly formatted new EDH - OK

Permissions "ignore ownership on this volume" unchecked (disabled) - OK

Drag the folder "Backups.backupdb" from the old to the new SMT - OK

Process begins with the preparation of the version and the file count. My TM backup is about 1, 44pour.

After 24 hours, the process was still approximately 2,000,000 files, always growing number.

I tried three times and stopped manually after all 30hours while the process was still count files and no copy began.

    2 - using disk utility

    Disabled TM.

Disassembly - Assembly new old EHD "Backup."

I tried to restore to new drive (target 'Storage') with the old disk (Source "Backup") with the disk utility application

There is also no, see below (in french, sorry):

New drive (Lacie P9233 - 'Storage')

    Old car (ST2000DM - "Backup")

    IO error

I also tried the spirit of several times the same result.

    3 - use of SuperDuper! 2.9.1 (v98)

This seemed to work, but not completely.

    Disabled TM.

Disassembly - Assembly new old EHD "Backup."

I tried "Backup - all files" / copy of "Backup 2.0 to ' to ' storage 4.0 to."

The process started successfully: new drive erasure, counting and copy the files at the same time.

After all 36Hours, it stops with a few errors of files not copied.

About 200,000 files - not copied 450Mo (?) (The backup log file) , but the main question disappointing is that only 1, 12-1, 44pour have been evaluated and copied by Superduper!.

Looking at the two DHM in Finder, I discovered that all the folders inside the "Backups.backupdb" who were after a certain date (20150908) are not copied at all.

I suspect that these missing backups are one made with a new OS X (maybe El Capitan?) which is not compatible with Superduper!  2.9.1 (v98).

Can you help me to achieve this transfer of backup to new SMT TM?

I sent the log file of SuperDuper in support.

Their recommendation is to delete the damaged file, and then start the backup again or with the SmartUpdate feature to continue the backup.

    That's what I did:

-find the corrupted file in the log file.

-delete the file with TM. Enter TM, then navigate to the file, and then remove all copies.

-start to SperDuper! Once again (Smart Update)

    -everything is now OK.

    Hope this can help others.

    SuperDuper! helped me.

  • Cannot transfer Time Machine backups on the new drive

I store my backup Time Machine on a Seagate 1.5 TB drive when the drive starts giving errors.  I had files on this computer and was able to transfer all except for 2 who were on unreadable sectors.  Fortunately, one of these files was an older archived version that I could afford to give up and the other was a temporary file in the photo library and since all other items were okay, I think I'm good.

The problem came when I tried to transfer my Time Machine backup of 800 GB for a new disk.  When I copy and Exact-paste (cmd-opt-shift-v) the Backups.backupdb to the new drive, it gets the extent of November 23, 2015 and then dies because reports of the Console to the system, it gets an IO error when you try to read:

    /Library/SystemMigration/history/migration-245250B6-4F52-4FBB-BD61-546A8C19CCD5/ QuarantineRoot/private/var/db/dyld/dyld_shared_cache_x86_64

in the relevant backup.  And because it's an IO error it simply abandons the whole process so I have no backup from November 23, included, for now.

Because the disc is unstable, I wasn't able to use disk utility to make repairs on it.  The disc is what is and I have to deal with the mess, that I do not have the disorder, that I would have.

I tried to manually place the missing files in the database, but the operating system will not let me.  I want to just copy my backup / OS X stop abandonment and be more like Windows and give me the options to "try again" or "fail" instead of just quitting!  I mean, why should I lose my backup all hierarchy of 23 November and beyond, simply because you cannot read a file, a file that I could simply replace in the backup of the current version or you can just ignore it.

I tried to copy files on and setting xattr on them to be backup items, but they are wrong.  I tried chflags parameter to make the writable directory, but it does not work.  I can't copy the missing files to fix my archives.  Help.

Please, don't try to transfer backups of a failed drive. Placing the disk aside until you don't know no longer you need the data, then delete and recycle. Start a new backup set on the new drive. For more security, you always have more than one backup.

  • transfer the music library (not bought) one Apple ID to another

DH has used my iTunes/AppleID account download her CD to the Mac, and then on his iPod.  He recently got an iPhone with its own AppleID.

We would like to have the iPod and put all his music not purchased on his new iPhone with its new AppleID.  How can I transfer his playlist of music not bought at its new Apple ID?

Whenever I have to 'create' a new iTunes Library, even when I'm out of iTunes, it automatically opens with all my music and my iPhone connects via WiFi.

DH has used my iTunes/AppleID account to download her CD on Mac

In fact, he was using your iTunes library, not your iTunes account or Apple ID.  When you import the songs from the music CD, your Apple ID is not involved.

Is "DH", the initials of the other user?  If DH does not have its own computer, create a new user account on shared Mac.  You can do this in the Preferences system users & groups window.  If you are the primary user, you can make DH user Standard (not administrator) account.  In this way, the Admin authorization ("your authorization") is necessary to make changes to the system for the Mac.  Log out of your user account and have DH, sign in to his new account user and things together upwards to use his Apple ID.  When it runs iTunes in this new user account, it's HIS iTunes library, not your library.

Return to your user account, scrunch a new folder (on the desktop) and name it something like the Songs of DH (or whatever you want).  In the window iTunes (with your normal iTunes library), use some view is more convenient to show your library iTunes music.  Dragged the songs of DH of the iTunes window to this new folder on the desktop.  For example, if these songs from music CD, using the view Albums can be more convenient, because you can drag entire albums in the folder.  iTunes copy the song files in the folder of Songs DH .

Once the file has all his songs, copy it to a shared location.  You can use the folder users / shared , which is accessible from two user accounts.  Have DH to connect to his user account.

NOTE: You can enable the fast user switch to keep the two users connected at the same time, to save time when switching.  Password is still required to switch between user accounts, but you can ignore the disconnection and crosses the login screen.

Drag the DH songs folder from the shared location and drop onto the iTunes window, to add songs from the iTunes library.  OR, in the iTunes menu bar, use the command file-> add to library , and select the folder of Songs of DH .  Once the songs in its iTunes library, connect the iPhone and set up the synchronization as you wish.

  • Is there a way for the iPhone to ignore some albums on ' shuffle all?

I have a variety of albums on my iPhone, ranging from artists to the album DJ mix albums.  What I would like to know is possible you can skip albums in the shuffle all option?  For example, I DJ mix albums where each track is a separate file, so when I "shuffle all" I get a small cut of the mix.  I prefer not to have it and he only plays complete songs.  Apart from making a playlist and adding all the songs bar DJ mix ones, is possible to some songs are ignored?  I know that iTunes, you have the option of "jump when brewing" but even if you select this check box, then transfer them to the iPhone they always end by in shuffle?

My use Shuffle All is just that, all within an album or all the music is beaten. Specific selections can be mixed, sorry.

Attempt to open the library then got the same error message. The library is too big to put in my available cloud storage.  How can I do this?

Put the library on an external drive, where you can set the indicator "Ignore ownership on this volume" for the reader.

Use a disk with the file system 'Mac OS (journaled)' extended.  Open the Panel "file > read the information" for this drive.

In the section "Permissions & sharing" Panel Info unlock the padlock and turn the meter of the property to ignore.

At home, I have Windows 7 and have only minor problems, file transfer to my Xoom. I invited to Skip, Skip All, ignore, etc. but only am allowed to still transfer files.

My question is at work on my WinXP SP3 machine where I want my Xoom transferable working documents for when I travel. When I transfer, I get a prompt similar to Skip, Skip All, but no option ignore and continue to transfer, only to cancel. Since Mico SD card does not right now, I need a way to sync my Xoom upward with my working files.

  • Transfer Photos from an SD card

I know 'how' to transfer photos from your computer to an SD card, but why aren't the pictures that have been transferred to the SD card displayed in the order that they were transferred?

I've transferred the photos to the SD card in a specific order, but they have been 'scrambled' when I saw on the digital camera, not that I transferred them or alphabetically by name of file on the computer.

Photos on the computer are displayed in alphabetical order, regardless of when each picture was transferred to the computer, but how the photos posted on a SD card?

I use a camera Kodak Easyshare and Windows XP, if that makes a difference.

If all goes well, someone knows what I mean.

Windows cannot really control it.  Looks like your camera is ignoring the alphabetical sorting of file name and possibly using another sorting system (maybe by the time stamp date change on the file?).

But unfortunately, the solution will lie entirely with the camera itself.

  • Need software to transfer pictures to a PC Win 8.1 to intelligently

Hi, I'm a newbie here and happy to have found the jury.

I have several Canon digital cameras and have managed to get the images from the cameras for Windows XP and 7 PC systems via USB without problem. Transfer software would: 1) refers to the location of storage on the PC, 2) images to give a name, 3) remove the image from the camera when you are finished. Maybe there are other options available.

Windows 8.1 is an integrated application named camera and Canon has a suite of programs in CameraWindowDC. Both give the same result when the camera is set on the PC. The PRO 8.1 Windows system recognizes the camera model and transferres images. There are no options for the destination folder, name, or delete offered. The images are stored by date group in system folder for images.

Any suggestions on the localization of the previously managed software download? I am ignorant on this subject. Was it Microsoft or Canon. If Canon, it is perhaps on the disks that came with cameras. The name?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

    Bill

    Hi Bill,

You can set the destination folder when you connect your device to your computer.  When the CameraWindow opens, click on the gear icon on the top of the left side of the window.  On the next page, click on the 'Import' tab, then choose "Folder settings" select the destination folder.

For more information about the location of the Canon software, please let us know what Canon camera you have.

  • Transfer of data/programs of a XP computer to a Windows 7 using a network.

I have the device to a network installed, router and modem as a result of service U-verse AT & T. I bought a new computer with Windows 7 installed.  I still have my old Windows XP computer that is connected to the gateway router.  When I read the request for the use of the network to transfer data it says to connect both computers to the router (what I do) and start both computers as an administrator user.  Checking the list of XP users I find 3 possibilities. An administrator myself (listed as an administrator on the computer and a guest, but that account is disabled.)

My question.  If I start the XP computer I used to do now the choice for the user is given.  She simply starts the system.  Can I assume that I have 'administrator' if I use the network transfer function.  I have the transfer on the new machine program and I downloaded a copy of my XP machine but I don't the have not installed.  BTW, the new machine is not yet there but is by the end of the week.

Would appreciate some guidance, specifically the question on an administrator on both machines.  Data guidance will be appreciated.

    Don Jacobs

Windows XP and later versions of Windows have 3 types of accounts: a built-in account named Administrator (unless someone has changed the name), the computer administrator and standard or limited user.

In Windows XP, the built-in administrator is not usually displayed on the screen of welcome except Mode without failure.  In Windows Vista and later versions, the built-in administrator is disabled by default.

The "Guest" account is not relevant to this discussion.  You should leave it as what.

If there is that a single user account set up on a XP system, and if you have not created a password for this account, Windows will start at your desk without display the Welcome screen.  Alternatively, you can configure Windows to do this even if you have created a password.

If your account on the XP computer appears as "computer administrator" in the control panel > users, then use this account to make the transfer.  Another way to check is to click the Start button.  If you see "Open All Users" and "Explore all users" as two of the choices, then you are logged in as "administrator of the computer.

On your new Windows 7 system, the first user created account will be a "computer administrator".  It is a "best practice" to create a "standard user" account to use for routine use and save the administrator account on the computer only for emergency purposes.  Create at least a password for the administrator account on the computer.

Here some good advice - you should follow - the former MS MVP Malke:

General recommendations for creating users in Windows 7:

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. Like XP, Vista and all the other modern operating systems, Windows 7 is a multi-user system with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want account only one user with administrator privileges in Windows 7 because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but there may be more that you want to do. Better not to put you in a bad situation at first.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

  • Background Intelligent Transfer Service is missing in XP

    Hello

I had problems to install updates from Microsoft Updates and looking at the error messages it tells me that I need to check the properties of the Background Intelligent Transfer Service, but when I search this file is missing.

How to replace this file missing and how I see that other registry files are missing?

    Thank you

    Katie

I have XP Home Edition I've just updated to SP3.  Windows Update stopped working.  There are 27 files for me, but all fail to install.  There is no sign of BITS when I run services.msc, in Standard or extended tabs.

This method did not work for me, things go off track right from the start because when I run %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe setupapi, InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\inf\qmgr.inf he asks me the original disc of XP SP3.  But my drive is only SP1.

When I put it in and the program heading it, copy the two files even if the target files are overwritten are newer than those on the disc, but then says he can't copy a file with a name like bitsprix.

This problem has held a ridiculous amount of time.  Can someone please help?

    Hi Marbrien,

    Follow these steps.

Open the Windows search tool, copy / paste the following text, and then click Search: qmgr.dll

Research should show this file in the following locations:

    C:\Windows\System32
    C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\bits

You can only see qmgr.dll in C:\WINDOWS\system32.

Click on start, run and copy/paste: regsvr32 qmgr.dll and click OK

Do the same with this file: regsvr32 qmgrprxy.dll

Reboot the system and then copy / paste this command into the field run:
    %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe setupapi, InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\inf\qmgr.inf

If you are prompted to insert the Windows installation CD, ignore this and in the dialog below, replace the path C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386

Change the path to C:\WINDOWS\system32 if qmgr.dll was only present at this place. **

Restart the PC and then go to the Services and you should be able to see BITS in the list.

Double click on it and then on the general tab, click the Start button to start the service manually. This is just a test to make sure that it works correctly.

If you get 2 error: cannot find the specified file, click on start, then run again and copy / paste the following command, and then click OK:
    Tracking Add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BITS\Parameters /v ServiceDll /t REG_EXPAND_SZ /d %windir%\System32\qmgr.dll

Reboot again and try once more to start the PIECES. It should work fine now, but in the unlikely case where it fails again, run the following command, and then press ENTER:
    Reg add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BackupRestore\FilesNotToBackup

Reboot once more and then do the following.

Go to this link and install the IE8 December Update:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-GB/download/details.aspx?ID=41404

If you use IE7, use this link instead:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-GB/download/details.aspx?ID=41442

Finally, go to the Windows Update site and you should be able to download normally.

I think that another procedure also credit Xircal will work for your script, so I copy and paste it here.  This assumes that you have no subfolder named bits in the system32 folder

Here are the steps to follow if you have qmgr.dll in C:\WINDOWS\system32

    1. Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32, right-click and select new | Folder
    2. Name bits (lower case) If you lose the highlight, click on new folder to select it again and then hit F2. Delete "new folder" and rename it to bits
    3. Open C:\WINDOWS\system32 still once, find qmgr.dll, right-click and choose copy from the menu.
    4. Open C:\WINDOWS\system32\bits and choose Paste. You should see qmgr.dll appear in the bits folder.
    5. Then, go to Start, run , and copy/paste: regsvr32 qmgr.dll and click OK (If you have run on the start menu, hit instead of key Windows + R)
    6. Do the same with this file: regsvr32 qmgrprxy.dll

  • When you transfer files to the internet, the router disconnects from the internet, but the network remains in tact.

I have a wireless router Belkin g with 1 Server 2003 cable and 2 xp machines and 1 machine vista wireless. My problem is when you transfer files to the internet, the router disconnects from the internet, but the network remains intact. I cannot remote in all computers, but not internet. Once I have restart the router, everything works fine. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how to fix them.

original title: problems with the router.

I have no solution for you.  It seems more likely to me that it is a hardware problem - but if it was related to traffic, I would expect that the problem on the downloads more downloads.

In addition to DSL reports, you could try to ask some of the forums that specialize in the updated firmware for wireless routers.  This is not to say that you need to install the modified firmware (although there may be good reasons to do so), but people who do usually firmware mods are much how the equipment works and what might be its potential failure modes.

Is one of the best-known sites DD-WRT.com, but there is one list of other here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wireless_router_firmware_projects the firmware on these sites was originally designed to run on Modem Linksys WRT54G, but applies generally to Linux with chips Broadcom - based wireless routers and DD - WRT claims that its firmware takes care of some Belkin routers.  If your router is one of those on what DD - WRT will work, there will probably be someone in the forum there will have something for you.  See the list here: http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database
