Again the SSD is not recommended

Dear Experts,

Roll forward is written in the order, is it is really necessary to put it on the SSD.

Or flash?

Please advice

I have a new asus x 200 and me do the battery plugged in, not charging issue. I know that the solution is to remove the battery and discharge the power, but this laptop is not an external way to remove the battery. Is there another way to solve this problem?

    Hello ScottTravares,

Battery not charging is a hardware problem. Windows will not charge the battery.

As your laptop is new, I would say that you either contact the Asus support or take over the laptop in the store, he bought at and ask them to take a look. The store will no doubt facilities to check the connection of the battery for the defects.

  • CS6 again, the software is not available to decode

I use Encore CS6 to create a slideshow for a client. It has 488 photos she needs, transformed into a slideshow with the file names used as a caption on the images. It is easy to access by selecting all images, and then by clicking on the option of the use of subtitles, but when I go to try to burn the DVD it stops and gives me a message error "software used to decode this media is not present on your system.

Googling the error message gave me several hits, indicating that large image sizes will give this error, so I tried shrinking the largest without success. So today I went through all the 488 images (thank God for the batch!) to resize to 720 x 480 at 72 dpi. Even narrowed it down to these proportions I ALWAYS get the decoder error when you try to create the DVD.

Try smaller quantities of images also gave me the question.

I am at a loss to know how to get this project done for her and I am short on time. Advice?

The cause of this problem is still image files where the pixel size is too large.

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Encore/KB/error-software-used-decode-media.html

And in this example where it was not a question of image, the user has solved the problem of re-encoding of the problem file.

Create a new project yet. Import only ONE of your images that is 720 x 480 and it's RGB.

    You get the error?

I just got this laptop a few weeks ago and it gave me so many problems.

I've used 217/256 GB of my SSD. However, my laptop comes with 8 GB of RAM, which I have no idea how to access.

Is it possible that I can use my RAM storage?

or should I just buy an SSD with a storage more...?

    RAM is not for storage.

You'll want to buy a larger SSD.

But with an SSD of larger and is delivered with all questions of current hard drive cloning etc..

  • HP EliteBook 8730w: replacement of SSD for the boot drive not recognized

I'm trying to install a Samsung SSD 840 EVO 500 GB instead of the original 500 GB HDD in my Elitebook 8730w (product no. VF889PA #ABG). The 8730w has the latest BIOS (F.20) installed and that is running Windows 7 Professional 32-bit (fully patched).

When it is connected to the laptop through a USB adapter, to clone the HARD disk image. the SSDS works correctly. Cloning through data Migration Samsung is reported as a success, and the image of the C:\ drive occupies approximately 153 GB. The image of the disc does not include the partition of 1 GB dedicated to HP_TOOLS, due to a known limit of the Samsung software supplied.

When it is installed in the HARD drive Bay. the SSD is not recognized as a drive and does not appear in the list of startup options. The available boot options only shown are the DVD or a network boot.

would be very grateful for any advice on the steps required to successfully install the Samsung SSD as boot drive.

    Hmmm.
Honestly no, I'm not happy with this one. If it was my machine, I'd be a little concerned about whats the corner of the street. In view of the age, is not surprising really, things wear out over time, the mere fact of electronics.

Search through everything you have posted, all photos, pdf, all the text double checking. I am absolutely puzzled as to what happened. If you 100% does not reinstall the hard disk between the posts above where no HARD drive is detected in the menu boot options for the post below that where the HARD drive is detected in the same menu. I would say that you have a problem with either, the ssd, the computer motherboard laptop or the small connector on the sata port, I think on these is integrated on the motherboard, so it seems that your advice is doubtful.
If his works now, great... but be aware that your machine can fail at some point in the near future. And it looks like a defect of the motherboard, other things are probably waiting to fail.

There is no reason whatsoever your laptop must not have seen this ssd at first startup. A HARD drive is a HARD disk, if its compatible sata, then it will work, no doubt. When he is not on an older machine, its probably a sign of a faulty component.

Looking through your bios options, I recommend the following.

On startup options, get rid of internal nic pxe boot, that will only slow your machine at startup as it will seek for a network bootable device. This is the message that you get at startup saying Media Test Failure, this page is preventable with this option disabled.
Less built lan/wlan switching on enabled in the options of the terminal, also change. This means that if you use wifi at home for example and you decide to plug in a cable network directly to the router to speed up the connection, it will not pass if it is not defined, you will have to do it manually. I work in a large company and the number of people who have this option is unreal. They all assume when they are docked they will on the wired connection.

Because we are here too, if you ever have problems with a flickering screen, first thing to try, is disable the ambient light sensor which is just below this option of switching. Its fine on normally, but its quite common on 8560p for this causes a flickering screen.

Hope that helped. Good luck in what you decide to do with the machine

  • Qosmio G30-102 not start after the SSD upgrade

I have 2 x 840 Pro 256 GB SSD to install in my machine which usually runs two drives independently.

I used the software to Clone of Samsun to clone my C drive which has XP on it.

    The cloning was successful.

On the installation of the new SSD, it will be now does not start and keeps cycling to the F12 boot screen.

I tried all the options without result.
    Any ideas?

    Hello

I had a similar experience with an upgrade of the SSD.
I used exactly the same software and has been able to clone partitions of HARD drive to SSD drive and my cell phone did not start the system from the SSD system partition.

I figured out that the C: partition on the SSD was not marked as active.
    How I solved this?

Well, I put the SSD in the 2.5 external USB enclosure. Then I booted the laptop using the old HDD. I connected the external SSD drive to the USB port.
Then I went to Windows disk management and could activate the C partition on the SSD drive.
Then I replaced the HARD drive with SSD and could boot. :)

your SSD is not visible/side since it is part of the Intel Smart Response SSD cache, so it is used only to speed up the HARD drive read/write data.

What should I do if the BIOS does not detect my SSD? (1) BIOS may fail support the SSD if it is obsolete. Please update the BIOS to the latest version.
    (2) your system may not detect the SSD if the SSD is not properly connected. Disconnect the cable and reconnect.
    (3) when there is a problem with the SATA Port, BIOS may not detect the SSD drive. To connect to a different Port SATA SSD and try again.

What should I do if I don't see my SSD in Device Manager?

    (1) your PC can not Autodetect the SSD; Do a search for new devices in the Windows Device Manager
    (2) when it is hot, plug-in for each port in the BIOS settings is set to Off by default, Windows may not detect the SSD drive
Restart the system, enter the BIOS and go to the SATA Configuration menu to ensure that Hot plug-in for each port is set to 'enable '.
-How to enter the BIOS for different motherboards:
    GIGABYTE--> F12, ASUS--> F8, ASRock--> F11, Biostar--> F9, MSI--> F11, Intel--> F10
    (3) when the SSD is not correctly connected, the system may not detect the SSD drive. Disconnect the cable and reconnect
    (4) when the partition has not been set, it can cause failure in the detection of the SSD
Go to Device Manager to set up a partition, format the drive, and then restart.
-Management > Disk Management > select SSD > partition it and format it in place

Since the SSD is not accessible to the user you can void the warranty if you open Notepad.

Your event is set to lock the front until the end of the event. This means that you are in a bind, because the event cannot be completed until the button is pressed, which can happen because the FP is locked.

Quick "bandaid fix" would be to uncheck this option in the configuration of the event. Not recommended!

You should never place interactive code within the structures of the event. Restructure your code accordingly. See state machines, for example.

  • Aspire Switch 10, new Version of the problem "does not start.

Hello! I read through all the relevant threads and have not found a problem exactly like mine. I tried all the troubleshooting solutions but none worked.

I had my Tablet for two weeks, works perfectly.

My tablet was low on battery so I plugged it. I saw that he was in charge. Then I left it for about three hours. When I came back, it was off. Well, he seemed off. Except the blue light was turned on, the power button.

I tried clicking on things, but nothing appeared on the screen. I tried clicking the power button... nothing.

So I went online and verified solutions. I can't charge the battery, because of my model. I was able to turn off by holding the power button, but it will start. Instead, when I disable and click the power button again, the blue light (not orange) turns, but that's all. Just the light blue, no other indication of life.

I tried to increase the volume, power, power + volume DOWN, home + volume, the pinhole reset button...

They successfully all the 'turn it off', but nothing lights up it back.

So, I tried one last thing, running down the power. After a while with the blue light on, warm up the screen. In fact, he got hotter than usual. But NOW, I'm afraid to keep the battery running down like that, because it "s more hotter and hotter. Is it dangerous for her to be too hot?

Is there something else I can do?

Thanks in advance! I loved my Tablet while he was fully operational, so I'd like a solution.

normally, it will start the BIOS, reading your report, can be a dead LCD screen or the bad mother.

If you are still under warranty, give Acer service a call.

  • files on the ssd system has lost!

Does anyone know of a simple way to format with the /s switch on the format command files system, Vista x 64 does not load on my SSD without file system. Vista x 32 is responsible to this topic... install aborted, just used the Vista x 32 to validify disk SSD.

All I have to do is to run the format command on the disk... and transfer system, but notting works

    Format/s
Copy the files of the operating system IO. SYS, MSDOS. SYS and COMMAND.COM
to boot your system to a new disk drive formatted you can
use as a system disk. If the FORMAT can not find the operating system files,
It prompts you to insert a system disk.

Just run the command with the switch, and he should ask the disk system to get the files, then they willl be on the SSD and you should be all set.  I suspect it's more complicated than that, because you knew that the law change so I guess you already tried what precedes, and it did not work.  Is it possible that the SSD is not compatible with Vista 64 bit?

Be more specific about what happens or does not happen when you try the above, if this does not work.

    Good luck!

  • Oracle and the SSDS

    Hello

We have a database of 3 TB and in a few months with migrating to a SAN storage 8 TB of HP with SAS 15 K disks nine. I have no idea how the disks are configured, but the faster they are RAID 0 + 1. Of course, this system is a data warehouse. The vast majority of reports must be run on about 150 GB of data most recently added. The system includes 8 PA-RISC processors and 16 GB of RAM, but we could opt for Oracle RAC with 3 these systems (instead of 1 we use now).

Is could someone please tell me if the SSD will offer all the advantages of this system? If so, what are we supposed to do? Tablespace Temp? Redo logs? Archive logs? Request for verification of output? Let's keep each month in its own tablespace and I thought maybe we could welcome the current month, where almost all reports are ran, in the SSD and at the end of the month move it to the HARD drive-based SAN storage. This configuration is feasible or is it too complicated for a vital production environment?

    Thank you.

restructuring of the database to make the best use of the SSD

Not necessary, if you map your data o tablrespaces files correctly.

Just move data I/O files on the SSD, no restructuring device is necessary.

I wanted the opinion of someone who has had experience with SSD and Oracle first hand.

And you mine. I've used SSD for four years, love them! I have a database of 80 GB and SSD relief runns full fast.
