Agilent Power Supply E3645A IVI Driver Communication error

Hello world

I'm trying to communicate to Agilent power using IVI Drivers. I join you MAX Report, all the modules installed on the system.

When I run initialization of the VI for Agilent power, using the simulation with 'Specific Driver', no errors appear. But when I select "do not simulate", I get this error:

Initialize IviDCPwr with Options.vi
The primary error: (Hex 0xBFFA0011) function or method not supported.
Development: FunctionId: 3, FunctionName: InitWithOptions

Communicate with instruments instrument using Driver works fine, but using the Drivers IVI is not.

I tried all the steps in this topic .

PROMT any help will be highly appreciated.

Kind regards.

Hello, Tanguy,.

I am pleased that install the specific instruments IVI - C Driver took care of things.  The differences between IVI - C and IVI - COM can be confusing at first.  I hope the rest of your application development goes smoothly.

See you soon,.

    Hi, I should install an ATI 4650HD on a t350.it, but the requirements of the system says I need a 400W power supply, while this pc has a 220 W one. Can someone confirm this for me? In this case, can I install a 500W power supply in this pc? Another question, it should be installed even a 500 GB Sata HARD drive, but the location that contains the drives are very close, you can see in the attachment to page 104 page signed 'disco rigído' with the G, can this cause a problem of high temperature? This pc is compatible with a Seagate Barracuda 500 GB SATA?

    You are right.  Is there an AGP version of the card.  I just wanted to make sure that you were aware of the correct version.  Many have made the mistake of buying the wrong type.

    Yes, the PSU's power supply.  Sorry for the use of the acronym without explanation. You will find it difficult to find a more powerful power supply which will be insert in your case.  The 220W is about it.  There is a lot of discussion on the forum about this problem.  I don't want to specify on the thing, however.  The amount of power supplied by a PSU is only as much as the system needs to run.  It has the production capacity of 600W, does not mean that it will be clocked at that power all the time.  It would not damage your motherboard (motherboard) If you have installed a.

  • Control Matsusada DC power supply with IVI

    I need to be able to control 3 Matsusada REK series power supplies DC using Labview. I don't have the equipment yet, so I'm using a simulation to test my code. It seems to work with the simulation, but I would like to know if there are obvious problems with my code, because it's my first experience with Labview. I would like to be able to transform the output of each provision on outside, set the voltage and current limits and set the voltage. I would like to know if my program is on the right track or completely false. Thank you!

    You should have the controls and indicators inside the event that is raised.

  • Agilent 6812 B power cord does not work with the class IVI driver

    I try to use a power source Agilent 6812 B with class IVI DISARM on RS232 driver.  I have everything set up NI Max but I can't by the initialization routine.  I tried in LabView and LabWindows and nor will not work.

    I decided to follow the lines RS232 RX/TX and I see that he is sending the "* IDN?" command and it times out before receiving a response.  Unfortunately, it does not send the Terminal newline at the end of the string.  I can cross NI MAX and send "* IDN? \n' and he responds with the ID very well.

    So my question is, would be possible that the IVI specific driver is not written correctly to send a jump as an end of line character or do I need to configure the Compote to send this character separately?  The IVI driver has been downloaded from instrumement network driver of NOR and it says it is compatible with the 6812B, but has been tested with 6813B.

  • VISA viOpen strangeness and linking them to an Agilent N6700B Power Supply (GPIB and C/C++)

    I noticed a strange behavior with connection to a power supply Agilent by GPIB, but if all goes well, just something miss me.

    If I power on and connected via GPIB to a card PCI of National Instruments and launch my app, viOpen gives me VI_SUCCESS and I can handle the desired power (voltage, power on/off, etc. exit exit evolution). However, if I run the application with the power supply off the power (output not only people with disabilities, but completely off) then viOpen gives me no error found resources, as it should because the instrument can not be detected. My request is scheduled to retry the connection every 10 seconds, and also long the power is turned on, it does as expected. The strangeness is when I turn the power supply on when the application tries to reconnect. Even if the power is connected, viOpen still gives a failure condition. In addition, using the Agilent IO connection Expert software, it lists the instrument in an error state. It becomes strange when I open MAX and click on "Contact Instrument." Simply by clicking on this option restores the instrument being error-free and call viOpen to my app works perfectly. Is there something that MAX is to initialize the instrument when you want to communicate with it? If so, is there a way to recreate it using software VISA controls? For reference, here is the code that I use to connect to the instrument (and subsequently tries to reconnect if the connection fails). Thanks for any help in advance.

    In a header file:

    ViSession session, defrm;

    ViStatus VISAstatus;

    In a file:Code .c is performed every 10 seconds

    strcpy (IOaddress, "GPIB0::5");

    VISAstatus = viOpenDefaultRM (&defrm);)

    VISAstatus = viOpen (defrm, IOaddress, VI_NULL, VI_NULL, & session);

    If (VISAstatus! = VI_SUCCESS)
    {
    viStatusDesc (session, VISAstatus, statdsc);
    Print an error message

    return;
    }

    Else if (VISAstatus == VI_SUCCESS)

    {

    viStatusDesc (session, VISAstatus, statdsc);

    Print the success message

    initializeStuff();

    }

    Seems I spoke too soon, I just fixed the problem.

    The Agilent VISA library was used as the main VISA library. I completely uninstalled the Agilent IOSuite (including his VISA) software and uninstalled the VISA National Instruments as well. I then reinstalled the IOSuite and allowed the most recent NI-VISA for overwriting. The first time I ran my application after I did this, it worked perfectly.

  • Pavilion a6655f: hard drive or power supply problem?

    A few days ago, I was trying to low loading part of the steam.  My download speed is 30 kbs, obviously not good.

    I did some basic checks, malware, viruses, etc., but did not find any problem.  I did a diagnostic check and got a BIOHD-8 error code, which indicates a hard drive problem.  I decided to try to reset the computer back to the factory setting before changing the hard drive and once that I made and updated windows Vista for several hours, I restarted the diagnosis and he came clean.  Then I updated my software, including steam and a few games.  Downloads were fast and had no problems.  Later that night the computer started to shut down randomly, and I was unable to run any games.  Thinking it's maybe a power supply problem, I have replaced my graphics card with an elder who needs less energy.  I am able to run without any problems so far.  So, I'm looking for help in identifying my problem.  HDD problem, power supply, something else?  Any thoughts are appreciated.

    Hard to say without proper trials.

    You can use a hardware monitor HW Monitor to monitor tensions it is: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
    But there is no software that can test a power supply.

    You can get a tester of hardware like this too: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16899887005

    But there is really no of it will predict fails if the power supply, if you overloaded it, if its duration in time high, or if the power supply is a device of poor quality that can be subject to failure.

    You can also check that your power cable is comfortably installed on the computer and not frayed.  Try a different wall jack where there are fluctuations in power.

  • Power supply drive hard 320 is death - where to find replacement?

    Hello

    The power supply for my 320 GB external hard drive (PX1223E - 1 32) that I bought a year ago died. I'm a little annoyed that the player has been barely used and only just out of storage after a move of the House!

    Can anyone help to track down a replacement to the United Kingdom? It's the brand Dura Micro Inc. AC adapter 100-240V 1. 2 a + 12V 1. 2 a + 5V 2A and the PDC resembles a connector 4-pin type 'DIN' of power.

    Does anyone have a contact email address for Customer service/returns under UK that it is possible to replace it under warranty.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mark

    Hello

    What s about your dealer?
    In your case I would contact the retailer where you bought this part and if your warranty is valid, you should get a replacement unit or unit must be sent for repair.

  • How to change the power supply to the CD/DVD drive so that it is disabled by default?

    When running on battery I often use the icon 'Remove hardware safely' XP to 'unplug' the carpet * CD/DVD drive for Safe some battery life. (Does?) I use Fn + Tab to bring back to life. I wonder if there is a way to make my boot Notebook (M400) with the power supply to the reader off by default. Moreover, any idea where I can find the extra battery for the slot of the CD/DVD player and who the price?

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello, Robert

    If you see the start page, you will see that this support forum is not a type of support Toshiba directly but forum users. But you're not alone and many users expect that a Toshiba support team sit in the office and before writing the answers.

    In any case, there are many users of Toshiba laptops with very good knowledge and also amateurs who are trying to help the other guys in different problems and also to share own experience.

    Professionalism is not the forum but action when you need help because of physical damage or something similar. If you need assistance and competent answers each authorized partner must be able to provide the info you need. But please don t mixture and Toshiba service partner because it is not the same.

    In any case, I found the info you can use additional (second battery expansion) and it takes batteries with PA3510U-1BAL, PA3510U-1BRL room numbers. I can't tell you how much it costs, but you will find only using Google.

    Back to your first question: if I understand you just want to save more power and because of this, you want to sign out ODD. It's a nice idea, but you have clearly misunderstood something. "Safely Remove Hardware option is there to help the operating system and and say this material, a part will be removed and don t exist anymore, but it does not physically the disconnection of any other material."

    If you need more power use a second battery and enjoy your life.

    If you have any other questions you are welcome. A lot of users here M400 and I hope in the future that some of them will participate in a little more.

    Good day! :)

  • Chroma DC power supply RS232 communication (read problem of over-voltage and current)

    Dear all.

    I chroma programmable DC power. Based on the programming of the Instrument manual I develop using RS232 communication. Based on the program I can set the voltage, current, over-current protection, protection against overvoltages and make IT / OFF out put supply perfectly.

    But I have to read the measured values of the output power as current and voltage. Measured applications are the voltage and current of the output of the power supply. My problem is two of them read at the same time. Currently, the reading is only voaltge or current (if the first request is v? it is voltage read out but no reading for the current) and if the first request is CURR? the reading for the current, but not for VOLT? The status message is OK, even if it is to read values.

    Thanks in advance

    What I see in your program, it's that you do not use the stop for reading character. For your writing, you do the hard with all these concantanate string functions. You can set the stop character for all entries with a node unique propert - "ASRL end Out.

  • IPMI error code 2900:0221 Power supply failure detected on PE R710

    My VMware ESXi host recently took itself offline. When I was looking for the root cause, I ran a diagnostic test on my R710 EP and the following error is generated:

    Error code: 2900:0221.
    MSG: IPMI - : power supply: sensor power supply (status) failure detected 'PS 2 '.

    The given error code and message can serve as Support to help diagnose the problem.
    Want to continue his tests?

    -end of the error message-

    I saw a post online to update the BIOS and firmware, I did. We are now running BIOS version 6.4.0. I restarted the test with the same results. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? If the problem is indeed a power supply failure or a sensor on a feed, how do I know which one is bad? Lights on both power supplies are similar to the rear of the server. This unit is no longer under warranty.

    Andoven,

    Error Code: 2900:XXXX is historical, referring to recent system errors. It is usually good to clear the logs of equipment before running the system diagnostics. Included update for your firmware firmware on the power?  I guess that your two power supply status LEDs are both green.  If installed, clear the logs in the OMSA and then reconnect the power supply on the right (2 PSU) and see what OMSA reports.

    Let us know the status of the block of POWER 2 in OMSA and the current version of the firmware.

  • communication error occurred when the power VI

    Hi all

    I have a frustrating situation.  I am trying to run a few screws on a Compact RIO 9073 chassis, and each time I start or stop the VI, I get two pop-up windows: "Communication Error occurred" (spelling is like on the popup) follow-up by ' WARNING: connection to the target in time real (NOR-cRIO9073 blah blah) has been lost.

    If I then go to the project manager, right-click on the cRIO and select Connect, it connects again very well, and the VI is still running.  I then two same popups again when the VI stops.  In the meantime, I can communicate with the VI without any problem.  I tried to reinstall the software on the RIO to the but minimal, OR RIO 3.4.0 it did not help.

    The RIO I NI-VISA and Visa 4.6 LabVIEW time server real 9.0.1 and NOR-RIO 3.4.0.  Same numbers on the computer except that real-time is 9.0.0.

    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    See you soon,.

    : sigh:

    Never mind, I noticed myself when I realized that my RT versions differed.  (Seems that naming scheme would require a little tweaking si.0.1 is quite different for breaking things...).

    Not sure how I managed to get a version more recent of RT on the box as on the pc, but good.

  • control e363x of agilent power supplies series

    I'm writing a vi where, after 30 seconds I want to change the output power of the power supply e363x agilent.

    The communication is done via Rs232.

    Initially I econfiguration tht to limits and voltage intial level then I created a sequence of images and otherwise I put a delay of 30000msec and then a trigger of software to modify the level of tension.

    I repeated this sequence about four times.

    When I run that the vi connected to my diet food .the first 30 seconds time-out is executed however the second time delay lasts only 10 dry and the last periods is performed properly.

    However when I run the PGM without any connected instument I sent some smaple output form different frameworks and the delay time of 30 seconds was performed in all four times.

    1. so I do not understand why in the real world scenario the second expected is not running or starts to run as soon as possible?

    2.i got the trigger output example code in the driver. But I was wondering if I could just replace this part of the code with four others configure the voltage output with different levels?

    I have attached the vi for your reference however if you do not have the drivers installed, you can refer to the image file showing the frame delay atypical and the handle of the pitcher.

    Clarification in the problem will be highly appreciated.

    First comment!

    do not wait until the next multiple ms if you want to wait.

    He expects indeed but the first call may end soon! Somewhere between 0 and max all the time!

    Read carefully what it means and use the ms of simple waiting in your case!
