Air Ipad not repairable

Hello

I know this is a common problem, but it seems that nobody has the experience of a device that has become damaged so absolutely!

I have an iPad Air, the first model. He had fallen from a height and is broken and the envelope is sealed. We took it to some repair shops who told us it was irreparable.

He's sitting around doing nothing, and I was wondering if it was possible to dismantle and recover parts of it with a view to being able to have access to the hard drive.

Does anyone have an option for us, it is possible to directly send it to apple?

Kind regards

Chris

Just to be clear, there is no 'hard drive' in your iPad. And the storage space may or may not be on a separate chip. Whatever it is, it is likely hard to access without some serious hacking. Your only relief might be something you can have backups.

Our meticulously cared for iPad Air we paid about $600 for 3 years it is abruptly stopped working last week. He was accused beautiful a day of work at 100% and would not regain power on the other.

I initially it swept and plugged back in another take and gave him more than 24 hours to recharge. It is still not responding liked when trying to power on. I followed all the instructions online for the buttons power / home - try another loader on my iMac.

Finally, I called the Apple store and make an appointment - thinking that it should be a simple solution / cheap. HA!

The employee brought to the rear to run a test on it and back 5 minutes later to tell us there is no "common" found "is a unit of the dead". He said "it's irreparable, so your options are here" (pulling up the new iPads prices). Confused, I asked ' well... What is wrong with him? The battery? We can not just difficulty it?'. He said it could be the battery, a problem with the connector - anything, but said that it would cost $300 to fix, then we might as well just buy a new. He also said "you might be able to sell it for not much online, but I don't know what the retail value is a dead unit". Great customer service.

Here, I thought that I invest in a good quality unit, shelling out the extra for 64 GB, etc. seemed worth it. Well, I can not yet wrapped my head around to be able to justify the replacement of something that can stop just "inexplicably" working on a coin, and there is nothing they can do.

The unit is, by your admission, 3 years old, two years outside of the manufacturer's warranty. You can either buy a new iPad as engineering explained, or you can buy a similar device in the form of a replacement under warranty for a discounted new, refurbished and with a 90 day warranty. • update of iOS 10 listed is not on Air iPad

When I go into my settings on the Air iPad app, it says I'm up-to-date with 9.3.5. There is no option to download iOS10.

When I plug my iPad to my mac, it downloads the update in iTunes but will not install because the macbook isn't anywhere close to enough space for the backup of the iPad first. (Despite already be saved in iCloud.)

    So I'm stuck.

Is there a way to make the update appear on the iPad for on-line downloading? Or y at - it a way to install first of the macbook without backup on the computer?

In addition, earlier I was enrolled in the public beta for the new updates. Can pose problems with iOS 10 appears there?

Just guessing, but a reboot is never bad. Hold down the sleep and home buttons until you see the Apple. Do you have enough free storage on the iPad? Incremental download during a concert and it probably extends to 2 or more, so you need 5 or so without doing the update.

  • Air iPad does not illuminate

The symptom is more simply not turn on:

It happened a few times before (within two weeks) that the ipad just froze and turned the icon apple black and white background. After working in the home/power together for a while, he fixed the situation. Last night, the white background happened again and I tried both home/power buttons. But he remained in an infinite loop power. Then I went to bed. This morning I loaded for more than an hour and just, it does not turn on, not even the white background.

If I take her to the store, be something beyond? The warranty has expired, so if a part needs to be replaced, it might be expensive and I prefer to buy something new.

Have you tried to restore the device? If you do not have an appointment at the Genius Bar, they will examine and diagnose the unit free of charge. From there, they will provide you with options. They do not repair the iPads, they replace them with refurbished appliances. If the warranty has expired, the elimination of costs of replacement warranty applies. That depends on your location, but you should be able to get an idea here. • iPad not visible

Updated to the latest version of iTunes (12.5.1.21) today on Windows 10.

Now my iPad Air is not visible at all in iTunes when the connected usb cable.

    He was previously.

    Cannot sync anything.

BTW: Win 10 now showed "Phone Companion" by default whenever I connect the usb ipad. It was not before. She did this if iTunes is open or not.

    That's happened?

The iPad is on IOS 10.0.1 (an another recent update)

Add above: I noticed that Hello has been disabled. Set it to automatic and started it - but that made no difference.

  • Air iPad with 9.3.2 Bluetooth issues

I upgraded my iPad Air to 9.3.2 and now it does not connect with all Bluetooth devices. It will not find most of them, but even if there is a discovery, it will not pair with anything.

Just before that, I reset my iPad completely and refreshed with the new iOS.  My iPad showed 700 MB of memory left in the memory usage, but when I connected to iTunes on my laptop it showed nearly 13 GB of available. I tried to remove several things, deleting and reinstalling apps, but nothing seemed to free up memory, and most of the memory is being taken over by one big yellow 'other '.  So I reset the iPad and started from scratch. When it resets itself, it is automatically downloaded 9.3.2. I didn't restore from backup, but I rebooted all the apps that I've had, and the memory issue has been resolved (I now have a little more 13 GB of available), but now I can't connect to my Bluetooth keyboard, car or speaker.

I went through the process of resetting the network settings and reset all settings. I have turned on and off Bluetooth several times. I have turned on and off other devices several times. I turned them all on and off in a different sequence. My iPad that air will not connect to any Bluetooth device.

I read that there is a significant problem for many users. Please let me know when a fix will be made available, or to explain how I can downgrade to 9.3.1.

    Hey there Bmwilking,

I understand that you are having problems with your iPad Air and you cannot connect to any Bluetooth device currently. I have an article for you with a suggestion to deal with this situation directly:

If you still cannot match or connect your Bluetooth accessory

Check with the manufacturer of Bluetooth to make sure that your accessory works with your iOS device.

Contact the Apple Support if you have any of these problems:

    • You can't turn on Bluetooth or the setting is gray.
    • You cannot connect any Bluetooth accessories with your device.
    • The accessory manufacturer has confirmed that your accessory works properly.

  • Difference between Air iPad and iPad 2 Air

MY daughter bought an iPad 2 Air some time ago, and when she got a new tablet, I should it. She paid a lot for it year I wonder if it's really an iPad 2 or not. I thought the 2 had a 3 core processor and it has 2. But, it has 32 GB of memory and what I see, said the Air iPad has only 32 gig. I'm very confused and I was wondering how I can say definitely what it is.

  • MacBook Air will not recognize Micro SD disk in the format exFAT

    Hello

I have a new camera of Campark Xtreme (like a Go Pro) who uses a Micro SD disk in ex FAT format. My 3 year old MacBook Air does not recognize the disc in this format. But to reformat, I need to erase all the content on the disc. When I put the disc in the camera, the camera will not work unless I have reformat the drive for exFAT.

My computer is 10.10.5. So my husband. We have the same problem on two laptops.

    Anyone have any ideas?

The Mac can read and write to exFat without problem. The problem is probably that the card is too recent for the readers into your computers.

Fortunately, a new stand-alone USB drive which takes care of these maps is cheap.
