• X 1 carbon connection WIFI 2015 problem

  just got my x 1 carbon and got the bells and whistles...

  I7, touchscreen, 8GB, 256GB SSD, intel AC, etc anyway, have a problem connecting to my home wifi. immediately, the initial configuration of windows 8.1, it wouldn't connect to the my wifi at home. Ive got a uverse wireless gateway which I think is always a G network device.

  but ive got tons of devices connected wirelessly at home. Basically, the intel AC 7265 tries to connect and it times out after about a minute.

  Ive tried upgrading the bios, update drivers intel, made a few changed to advanced properties after having considered the matter on the virtual assistant of lenovo, but no luck.

  been reading on the internet that the 7265 seems to be flaky and inconsistent for some people. I was wondering if anyone else out there there was a problem.

  I went in the driver properties Advanced and replaced by wireless g only mode, and then it is connected.

  I then returned and handed over to the a/b/g degault and now it connects well... strange

  I thought that I had ordered a 1130ag but looks like I ordered a 1131ag LWWAP.

  This happens all the time, so it shouldn't be a problem :) I'm guessing that you have received this AP - AIR - LAP1131AG - x - K9 LWAPP. When you really wanted this AP - AIR-AP1131G-x-K9 Cisco IOS software. Look at the comparison;

  Step 1 the IP address of the computer on which the server software runs TFTP should range from 10.0.0.2 to 10.0.0.30.

  Step 2 make sure the PC contains the file access point (for example, c1200-k9w7 - tar.122 - 15.JA.tar for a 1200 Series access point) in the TFTP server folder and the TFTP server is activated.

  Step 3 Rename the access point image file in the folder of the TFTP server c1200-k9w7 - tar.default for a series of 1200 point, c1130-k9w7 - tar.default of access for a series of 1130 access point and c1240-k9w7 - tar.default for a series of 1240 access point.

  Step 4 connect the PC to the access point using an Ethernet category 5 cable (CAT5).

  Step 5 disconnect the power to the access point.

  Step 6 push the MODE button and hold the button while you reconnect power to the access point.

  Step 7 hold the MODE button until the status of the LED turns red (approximately 20 to 30 seconds), then release.

  Step 8 wait until restarting access point, as indicated by the LEDs become green followed the status LED flashes green.

  Step 9 after the access point reboots, reconfigure using the GUI or the CLI.

  Starting with a very simple configuration, but still it would like to have your input to ensure that it is correct. I want to connect the vmnic0 in a trunk on a cisco switch port.

  Currently, I have 2 VM connected to vSwitch0 that I wish they were on separate VLANS.

  How do I would put vmnic0 at the other end of the trunk (thus forming a trunk link)?

  For each computer virtual is simply the event of award of the VLAN respective in the VM network adapter - network connection setting (network Label :) in properties?

  With the Group of ports configured with VLAN ID 5, you need to set the port of Cisco "mode trunk" and ensure that VLAN5 is authorized and it is not the value by defect/native VALN.

  Well, what I mean by "If the subnet IP for the management network is available in 5 VLAN", is that if you separate the traffic in VLANs, you must ensure that systems (IP addresses) that are connected to these VLANS are accessible from other VLANs, if necessary.

  Siempre veo los post donde hay blades hp, y brocade switches me rio, veo porque siempre los casos same.

  Hace lo siguiente paso number 1, saca los VLAN id y fijate if you works.

  The mayoria tiene evil configurado in los Brocade y marcan the vlan in el port del Brocade, fijate if lo haces por the graphical web del Brocade than quédé good configurado.

  The idea that're dejes the vlan marked en el dvportgroup y el brocade permitas el 802. 1 q Las VLAN preferidas.

  I'm trying to convert a stand-alone Aironet 1200 in light Mode. I use the tool to upgrade v1.0 proposed by Cisco. But when I put the name of the recovery LWAPP Image (c1200-k9w7 - tar.123 - 7.JA2) in the tool window to update it doesn't work. It is said: c1200-k9w7 - tar.123 - 7.JA2 - LWAPP recovery Image file size is zero. But its size is 4.6 MB!

  Yes, please follow this procedure for TFTP Re-imaging

  1) Go to your Computer and from the tool menu -> folder options ->uncheck the hide extensions for known file types option. 

  2) Download the IOS image ( you can get this ios image from cisco.com) on your desktop.

  3) Rename the image into c1130-k9w7-tar.default

  4) Give your computer Ethernet an address in the range 10.0.0.2 till

  10.0.0.30

  5) Run the tftp server on your computer.

      - Make sure that the directory of your tftp server is the desktop.

      - Specify the AP address on the tftp server if needed.

  6) Connect the AP to the computer with Ethernet cable.

  7) Remove the power from the AP.

  8) Press and hold Mode button on the AP, and insert the power jacket in the AP.

  9) Keep pressing on the Mode button for (20-30 seconds) until you see RED Led.

  10) Wait until the image installed and all led lights return to green 

  doesn't make sure that no firewall or antivrus is running on your computer.

  I currently have a deployment of Cisco Aironet SAP1602E Wireless point to point bridge (bridge using RAP and card, root wireless and Non-Root Bridge) to expand a layer 2 VLAN from one building to the other. It currently operates uisng open authentication and encryption - and is administered remotely via the bridge of root, to get wireless (manage) the bridge Non-Root - RAP wireless remote.

  Try to configure the PSK WPA2-PSK remotely via the GUI or CLI - first setup - I informed a similar error to her below indicating that:

  Error: Key-management WPA is requried for WPA-PSK

  Read around, it seems, there is a configuration-control problem, and that I need to specify the mode as WPA2-PSK first, before then being able to specify the PSK there instead of using. However, as soon as this mode is specified on RAP, my remote administration is broken - as probably the RAP try to use WPA2-PSK to look for a PSK, which has not yet been configured. Am I missing something obvious here, or is the order of operations of CLI (1] convert to WPA - PSK; (2] shared secret to apply PSK) as a migration from open to WPA2-PSK cannot be configured remotely (short of preparation of a startup-config; TFTPing presents more; and issuance of a 'reload' remote control)? Can someone please enlighten me as to what the logic is here - no doubt I should be able to specify a PSK first (fo without worrying if I use WPA, WPA2 or other), and then be able to specify that I want as the layer of encryption (WPA) to make use of this pre-parameter PSK? If it was a router, you don't can me to add something to the authentication key chain OSPF; before clarifying its use - why so different Aironet Wireless IOS?

  You're right, and because you will have to enter several lines of configuration to switch to WPA2-PSK with AES didn't really matter; the AP would reset the radio anyway because you make changes related to the radio interface. It would be very useful that if Cisco router/switch IOS 'macro' feature available AP thus in changes like this, unfortunately this is not the case.

  Start with the nonroot AP and make sure that the following lines are added to your configuration. If you add by the console, the order must be like that, do it by downloading a new configuration of booting with tftp, that it does not matter.

  I have a brand new Cisco Aironet 1800 AP series I'm trying to install. Specifically the 1852E. I do not have a controller and try to use the method of deployment of mobility Express. When I received the unit there is a yellow label more precisely declaring outside: "OFF BY DEFAULT note RADIOS: radios are disabled by default for Cisco IOS releases 12.3 (4) JA and later.

  If anyone can please tell me how I am supposed to this access point configuration when the radios are not suite, so the CiscoAirProvision SSID is not broadcast?

  I tried the following:

  1 connect the unit to my PoE switch. Unit Gets power and discovery mode starts (red/orange/green light cycling). He succeeded receives an IP address from my DHCP.

  2. when I try to access the device through my laptop via the local LAN it just times out. Pings meet.

  I apologize if my post seems harsh, I am quite agitated that even after having spent more than 5 hours trying to troubleshoot and get this thing to work, there was nothing else than a nightmare (both for the installation of touted 10 min). I do RTFM. I missed something simple jumps? or am I just to assume that Cisco has really missed the boat the patch appropriate for an assignment in their literature.

  Alright. So, I want to start by saying that I have what I consider to be the basis of knowledge of network management. I recently got a Cisco Aironet 1242AG WAP. I realize that this is not a stand-alone router. I would use it as an extension of my current router. From now on, the status light is alternating colors. If I understand correctly, it can not find the controller. I cannot telnet inside, or use web browser interface. Both say that the connection is not available. However, when I check my DHCP from my router table, I see that an IP address has been assigned to the MAC for the WAP. I tried to do a factory reset holding MODE until I plug the power supply and wait until it turns amber. After a few minutes and go through a few changes led, it goes back to the alternating colors on an ongoing basis.

  I don't really know where to go from here. Help, please.

  Radios allow without a ssid that are attached to them. You will need to create your ssid and then fix to the interface radio. assignment of an address to the British Virgin Islands and setting a value default gateway on the device and you should be able to raise it.
