Airport blocking sites

Hello: I have the MacBook Pro connection Internet Cox and airport/TimeMachine Wireless.  Last evening access to my own Web sites and e-mail accounts connected were suddenly blocked in my wireless home system, but not blocked so attached to the connection of the iPhone.  Through Cox, we tested the sites with a direct ethernet connection to the box and all worked great.  To the wireless through the airport/TimeMachine and no links to sites or associated emails.  I've never had a problem before, like this, connectivity issues are limited to only the connection from the airport, and other Web sites and e-mail addresses work very well through the connection of the airport.  The airport has the ability to block sites or IP addresses?  If so, how can I erase, because I need to access my mail.  Thank you!

This problem appears all the time.

Make sure you have the IPv6 configuration correctly... There are well-known problems with Cox cable and Apple airports.

Why he should leave suddenly out of the blue, I'm not sure... Cox is deployment of IPv6, and perhaps this has happened recently in your area.

The configuration / real modem can also count... what brand and model of modem do you have?

Try on a client that uses the Google DNS... IE 8.8.8.8 as who has fixed a lot of issues for people.

Original title: blocked site. What is happening and how to fix it?

Windows live blocked my site. I was told to get my phone number to get a code that would verify that I was the owner of the site. I did exactly that, but the site is still blocked.  What is the problem and how to unlock it?  I really get annoyed, because there was no specific reason given for the block. Nothing, that I could understand, in any case.

  • Since Fx32, show Cookies always reveals no. stored COOKIES. Where are they? I have 'accept cookies from visited' with a large list of exceptions of blocked sites.

I have "Always deprived of the use of navigation" and "Accept the Cookies from Sites" with "Third Party Cookies: to visit ' but with a long list of site Exceptions, I intend to block." Since Fx32, DISPLAY COOKIES still says there is nothing to show. I understand the incognito automatically deletes history (including cookies) on Fx is closed, but after some extensive navigation, I expect to see some session cookies only from sites that is: a) are listed ALLOW/SESSION on my Exceptions list; or (b) are not exceptions listed at all. The list of exceptions has two categories: Ad Server sites I block to avoid hearing; and ALLOW the sites I visit have warn me to allow their cookies. Even after the connection to these sites (connection requires their cookie) DISPLAY COOKIES always says that there is not.

1 I'm wrong about PRIVATE BROWSING, it does not control the placement of the cookie, which leaves to ACCEPT the COOKIES and the parameters of the Exception, but erases them cookies and another story when Fx closes?
    2. so where's my cookies I know work when I login, for example, my mail server or Amazon?
3-do I need to install the addon from SQLite-Manager to see the cookies .sql file? It will work with Fx32 +?

Thanks for the input, cor - el. Once I realized where is the console command line and exceeded his SPAM warning, cookie.split () / join () worked very well: a lot of output, especially warnings of javascript and HTTP requests, at least a cookie. But then I wondered:

I pressed accidentally on [CLEAR] and console obeyed, of course. So I enter again the command (several times) but now get no reply - msg just empty console pane. Close the current tab from fx, then open a new web console, connect and I reinterpret the split () / join (). Now console only statements interprets this command error msg: > undefined (attached screenshot).

So my question: can this js command split () / join () consider only once? I have to adjust something first? It seems the PRIVATE BROWSING feature design "drape" of all the cookies I allowed to-I assume to keep them from being seen, that's it? So can a Web page script place a cookie, and then later in the same session back or questioning? A page can simply include a document.cookie.split()/join () command in the script?

In any case, I'm happy to have your technique and grateful. Thank you. I'll try it as a bookmark shortly.

  • I recently started getting the message "error - blocked site" on some sites that use to work. Can anyone suggest why this might be, please?

I don't have the same problem if you are using Opera as a browser, however, I am aware that ISPS have blocked some sites in the United Kingdom due to a decision of the Court and wonder if it is the cause. The message only started to appear since I read about this decision. Is there a list somewhere that shows which sites are legally blocked in the United Kingdom? I can then excluded of this in or out as the cause.

    Thanks much for any help.

  • The list of blocked sites is empty.

Have used Firefox for years. There is a healthy list of sites blocked (with exceptions for cookies).
Confidentiality: always use the private browsing mode - checked
    Accept cookies - ticked
    Always accept third-party cookies-
Exceptions - shows as empty (no sites listed)
Cookies (only Google, coz I use it - I always empty after session).

Issue reason: wanted to verify that I did not have a site blocked, as this site repeatedly expires - I can't respond quickly enough the ALLOW button when I get the message "Firefox has prevented...". ».

    Help!

The current versions of Firefox do not show Cookies in the Cookie Manager when you are in (permanent) private browsing mode.

In private browsing mode, all cookies are session cookies that expire at the end of the session (all PB mode windows closed) or when you exit Firefox.

In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:

    • do not delete Site preferences

Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

  • the blocked sites listed in options disappear when the browser is closed. have to list them all once again, if I want to disturb.

Listed in a short list of sites from where I want Firefox blocks cookies (doubleclick, for example), following the instructions on https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Enabling%20and%20disabling%20cookies. However, when I close the browser, the next time I open it, the list is empty. Of course, I get cookies from the sites I want to block.

    Hello

You may need to disable the Preferences of Site in (Alt + T) Tools > Options > Privacy > settings. Please also see that.

  • Security Essentials blocking site program to access sites...

I use Microsoft Security Essentials on Windows Vista... Since the installation of the program security... my Web site creator cannot access my Web site because the security program locks... How to allow access?

My guess is that Security Essentials saw this as a threat and it blocked it.

Open the Security Essentials program. You will see three sections of files and processes excluded. Check each one to see if your program is listed. Highlight and select Delete.

    I hope this helps

  • Security for the family of the Blocked Sites

I just looked through security to the family a few days ago.  I have blocked some sites and my child could not see, but now I see that it can display them.  What should I do to keep them blocked?  It can not access my account, the filter is light and the sites are still blocked in the family safety website.  We have windows 7.  Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Communities.

I'm sorry to know that you have problems with the blocking of Web sites using parental controls. Let me try and help you with this question.

One possible way to solve this problem is to refresh the web filtering settings for your child by turning and then by following the steps below:

    1. connect to https://fss.live.com using your Parent account.
    2. click under the user name of your child.
    3. request for Web filtering, check the Disable web content filtering , and then Save.
4 tick to enable web filtering you can adjust the slider to different settings.
    5. Save.

After that, refresh the client of parental control to update changes made via the Family Safety website. To update the client, click the icon with the arrow on the upper right.

To update the family safety filter, follow these steps:

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, we will be happy to help you.

    Hi Willie,

Welcome to the Microsoft community. According to the description of the problem, you are unable to access a specific Web site. Provide the following information:

    ·         What websites do you speak?

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         You use Internet Explorer? If so, what version are you using?

    ·         You are able to access other Web sites?

I'll help you with this problem. I suggest you follow these methods if you use Internet Explorer.

Method 1: Follow the steps in the article.

Can't access some Web sites in Internet Explorer

Method 2: Perform an optimization of Internet Explorer.

    How to optimize Internet Explorer

Note: Reset the Internet Explorer settings can reset security settings or privacy settings that you have added to the list of Trusted Sites. Reset the Internet Explorer settings can also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the reset Internet Explorer settings.

  • How can I block sites? I have Windows 7.

I want to set up Parental controls, but I can't find the option to block the sites to the new user.  How can I do this?

    Hello

You will need to install Windows Live parental controls if you want to restrict specific loading web pages. Please try the following if you want to restrict a web page to a specific user account

[1] method: Using Parental controls to restrict a web page
NOTE: The user receives a notification that the web page applies if the user tries to load the web page

NOTICE: You must be signed in to Windows Live to complete the following steps
Method [2]: Modify the hosts file to block unwanted web pages
    • Using Windows Explorer, navigate to %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
    • Open the file with Notepad
    • To block a web page, simply enter 127.0.0.1 followed page web you want to block at the end of the file (for example 127.0.0.1 example.com) [where example.com is the destination that I want to block and 127.0.0.1 is the IP address to be redirected to when the field is entered]

    Thank you
    I hope this helps :)
  • Without .htaccess how can I block sites unwanted reference?

I've seen a few posts on .htaccess not working not not on BusinessCatalyst because it only works on Apache servers and BC is on .NET apparently (?). My client needs to block a dozen of bots (semalt, buttons for Web sites, best SEO, etc.) and while I can find a way to block the IPs reports of the site through BC, I don't think I can isolate IPs for each of these sites of delinquency. Then what should I do? I saw something maybe, it can be done in Google Analytics... but it actually block the visit or simply remove from being counted by the traffic report? I want to keep my protected site but I want British Colombia has my hands tied to this.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

    1. robots.txt for bots who read and follow

    2. you are protected, things just to read your site can and will happen, even with htaccess on a website - can easily ignore it.

    3. the filter is what you need and to better to spend his stats by google analytic as BC isn't as good at filtering.

  • Get the error message 'block Site Blacklist"Firefox can't connect!

I can't connect to sites like Bank of Ireland, which I always logged in with Firefox before. No connection doesn't work and I get a pop-up that is not identified as Mozilla or Firefox, and does not seem "fair".

I'll change my contextual framework and reinstall Firefox. It's weird. Firefox has always been reliable for me, I wonder if Mozilla/Firefox has been hacked.

    • Use a type of compressed as PNG or JPG image to save the screenshot
    • Make sure you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB

Start the computer in Mode safe mode with network support Windows (on the startup screen, press F8) to see if that helps.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
