  • Why Windows 8 now * force * update you 8.1?

    I am outraged by this morning realize that on * two * of my machines, Windows took upon himself to download and install Windows 8.1. This is ridiculous, I have a course of very limited download (25 GB per month), and as such the Go ~ 10 download for two of my machines the rest of my use of the internet. Now, because my internet is slowed down to 256 Kbps, I am unable to finish the job that requires an internet connection.

    I find that completely unacceptable, I had made a conscious decision not upgrading to 8.1 Windows until Microsoft decided to make it compulsory for users to download ~ 4GB for each computer that is running Windows 8.

    I'm looking for answers to determine why Microsoft thinks it has the power to perform large downloads without my prior consent.

    Thank you.

    Not an answer, but a comment.  It happened to me two days ago.  I have only a 10 GB download monthly, so the 3.5 GB download is a big piece.  I didn't want it.  I clicked on install later.  I remembered the next day to install.  The next day (yesterday) he says that if I have not installed then I must do today!  I'm waiting for the message today with some trepidation.  Things always seem to go wrong.

  • Why loadvars stop working when I gave him the field?

    Maybe you can understand this one.

    When I specify the full url to load vars, including field it stops working when I put the SWF on the server. However if I load the SWF locally it loads the page from the remote server. I find that I must take the domain of the server of the argument to make it work on the server, as follows:

    var sendVars = new LoadVars();

    var result: LoadVars = new LoadVars();
    result.onLoad = function(success:Boolean)
    {
    _root.dataStr = Success +""+ result;
    }

    It works when I load the SWF file on my local computer, but not when I put it on my web server:
    sendVars.sendAndLoad (" http://myserver.com/myFile", is translated, "POST");

    works when I put it on the web server, but not when the SWF file is local (of course):
    sendVars.sendAndLoad ("myFile", result, "POST");

    No idea what I am doing wrong?

    Turn off must be a "crossdomain.xml" on your server file to allow access to the files of other sovereign wealth funds. For example:

    http://www.Flash-MX.com/crossdomain.XML

    Contains:

    It is clear to me why this is never mentioned in the docs of loadvars.

  • [SOLVED] Windows 7 hangs during the "you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer.

    I was recently on my computer and running windows 7 with happiness and problem free, until I downloaded a file from the internet. When I opened it, windows asked me if I want to allow this program allow changes. However, there is the rub. When I click on 'Yes', the message will disappear, but the computer hangs at the screen has gone even a light, tinted gray, with all of the programs that are still running in the background. It freezes for about 2 minutes and then decides to return to normal, free for me to return to work and navigation. However, the program that I have originally intended to be performed by him to make changes didn't work at all. Confused, I ran over and over again, but with very little success, and the problem continued to appear. I tried to launch a clean boot, but that doesn't help more. Can someone help me please? Thanks :)

    Thank you for the support, but I solved the problem.

    I did a system restore, and it seems that a microsoft critical update was the culprit of all this? In any case, everything seems to work now and thanks again for all the support and help, I appreciate it a lot :)
