  Akamai don't come right out and say, but the reason that netsession is installed on your computer is to allow them to use your computer to 'upstream' content to other users.  By installing NetSession, you allow Akamai use your idle bandwidth to transfer files to other users of Akamai.

  They say that NetSession will use your computer when it is "inactive or use minimum network resources.".  This means that NetSession is constantly monitor your use of the network and transmit this information to Akamai.  And as bandwidth varies from second to second, this info should be sent upwards to Akamai a lot.  Wait a minute, didn't they say just they captured only the kind of info that capture web servers?  Web servers capture information about the use of bandwidth.  What other information Akamai capture?  I couldn't find details on their site.

  So if you install NetSession, you be to join a peer-to-peer network and allowing Akamai send files from your computer at the time as Akamai may use you your minimum bandwidth.

  I also have a problem of security on the files I get the NetSession.  It seems that it is not difficult to download a file using NetSession, change it to carry a load of viruses and then leave the computer idle and wait NetSession transmit the file infected others NetSession.  I hope that Akamai has taken measures to address this problem, but I can't find any information on it.

• Why have I not two Akamai NetSession Client running?

  Since the last update of graphic projects running very slow, in particular ThePrintshop (23.1 Deluxe... slow still) slowed to a crawl.

  Looking at the processes running I noticed that I had two Akamai NetSession Client (netsession_win.exe * 32)

  I was not online at the time, cut connection.

  Why is this?

  In addition, can I put software that I do not use over time

  FYI cloud is a virus suspicsious that block Norton and McFee TIMES.

  There is therefore no help to akami. IM passing by my pc amd today to get rid of him, as it is not necessary

• Akamai netsession does not install

  I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit.   PC is clean of spyware and viruses, relatively new facility.   Tried installing Akamai Netsession but just installer stops immediately and says "Incomplete Installation - restart to try again".   Restarting does nothing, but give the same error message.   He apparently tried to install something, because he has put a partial data in a folder user/appdata/local/Akamai.

  I tried as admin and in compatibility mode - did not work

  I tried to disable the windows firewall and antivirus - did not work

  I deleted all the physical files of Akamai, files and reg entries - did not work

  Open to suggestions, there doesn't seem to be much info on Google, and there are exactly 0 help page of Akamai.

  I had the most problems with Akamai Netsession to download the CS6, I bought.

  We are currently located in Ethiopia where we get a decent speed of 3 G Internet.

  I bought CS6 last December, downloaded and installed on my Macbook. Now, we have an another Macbook and I want to install CS6 on it too (I still have a license available) but I'm having all possible problems to download.

  I started the download with Akamai, but he would never keep track of download and always restart at zero. When I downloaded CS6 for my first Macbook, Akamai would be followed the progress of the download and start again from the last point whenever I restarted the download. This time, it just keeps going back to zero. So whenever Internet deconnects (which is common with the Internet connection, we have) or if we closed the window for a moment, I lose all my progress of download. I tried on Google Chrome and Safari.

  Since we buy Internet data at the minute, it cost approximately US $100 so far to try to install it and still have nothing.

  I tried the alternive download method but it doesn't work either. Have downloaded 3 GB of data until it happened: delay too long - download canceled...

  Since I always download completed on the Google Chrome on my computer, I tried to just copy fill for the second Macbook installation and install it there. But it won't work, saying that it looks like a pirated copy and that it cannot install it.

  I'm desperate. We have NEED CS6 on two Macbook. So if anyone has a solution for us, I know deeply.

• Disks hard not found on normal startup, but reappear in Mode safe

  I had problems with my system, since I manually (like to press the power button) shut down my system XP W when ThinkPoint gave me a screen fake infection and wouldn't let me close the window.  After that, all symptoms shouted 'virus' (slow performance, browser redirections, etc.) then I ran scans with MacAffee, Malwarebytes, and SuperAntiSpyware.   Malwarebytes found two instances of bad registry, but SAS and Macaffee entries do nothing are, repeatedly.  Also, when I tried to boot the system after the scans, I arrived at the last MS Windows display before the connection of the guest user and after five seconds of so on this window, a blue screen popped up for literally less than half second, and the computer restarted after the BIOS screen.  It simply wouldn't start with extra hard drives connected (1 SATA channel and two EIDE disks) UNLESS I started in safe mode.  Then she start and recognize all readers.

  After a nice weekend by removing what was left of my hair, and after reading MSE on the web, I uninstalled MacAfee, downloaded and installed MSE; so quickly found seven problems.  They are (were):

  After performing the analysis and removing the offending files I tried to reconnect the SATA 1 canal drive, but got the same behavior; a normal start to the last image of Windows XP for low resolution, then quick blue screen (which, although I tried several times by pressing the pause/break key I still have to read... my fingers seem not to be fast enough to catch it) and repeated that it recharges, all with the same effect.  My question is if I burned my motherboard, or is there something I'm missing.  Oh, and one of the attempts of repair was a relocation complete W XP and all the service packs and updates.  Still no access to the hard drives.  As I am a photographer/editor, and there are about 2 million files on my hard drive I sort of need them.

  Someone has suggestions

  One step probably you should take is to do a system restore; However, since you have reinstalled Windows, backup directories are probably history.

  Safe mode is just Windows running with most of the programs and services.  Usually when Safe Mode works fine, but the Normal Mode is not, it is because a program or a Service that starts in Normal Mode interferes somehow.  How to attack, that is to use 'msconfig' utility of Microsoft selectively enable/disable optional programs and miscellaneous services until you find one that gives you grief.  This can be a long trial and error method.  In addition, it is unlikely that you have a hardware problem, if you can access the drives in safe mode.

  In any case, my first step if I were you would to save critical data on your other internal readers on an external USB drive.  If you can not do this under Windows, then create a CD of Linux Live free (for example Knoppix ), boot from this CD and then back up the data on your discs to a USB stick or a network drive.  Creating a Linux Live disk is also simple download one ".iso" file and use the "burn Image" of your program of CD burning to create the bootable CD.

  Description of the problems: I am able to load properly in safe mode and safe mode with network. However, normally, my computer will go dark or stop sending any signal on the screen, and I have to hard reset. Generally speaking, however, I do it on the desk and the screen freezes shortly after and I am unable to do anything. Sometimes a terrible hum will start from the speakers when this happens. Other times, my computer restarts itself on the spot without any warning, closing programs or something like that. All of a sudden a black screen and the ordinary boot process begins.   The history of reliability reports I've seen show that I have a recurring problem with Akamai Netsession Interface, which fails to install properly, and when I recently tried to uninstall, I had use without crashing my computer two days approximately.   I have a desktop computer Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with an ASUS M4A87TD EVO motherboard. After that I downloaded all three files, I installed the chipset driver and USB driver in uncompressing them, by clicking on each file, by clicking on Setup.   I want to emphasize that, before even manually, download the drivers, I tried using WIndows Update to install all important and recommended updates. After the computer restarts, the guarded keyboard lights flashing on and outside.

• Cannot download Coldfusion 11

  I have 11 Coldfusion download problems. We have CF11 but the installable are managed by another group and we do not have access to them. In the past, our developers would just download the trial/developer of Adobe. Now, however, Adobe requires a download manager which apparently does not work with the security of the corporate network. I installed the client (something a lot of people do not), but the status is stuck at "Waiting."... "and the file never shows up in the Akamai NetSession Interface Console.

  I need help to get this file and the official technical support options seem to be abandoned (since all that led me here). I found other places that have the file, but I'm nervous download from an unofficial location.

  This is a major failure. You have a Fortune 500 company who bought your product and its developers (leading to the use of the product to the company) who can't get the download to facilitate the upgrade for its use.

  We use mainly Mura that is well supported under Lucee which is free and open source. This 'disadvantage' is nothing do but pushing us away with your products. In fact we only upgraded to CF11 due to horrible bugs and problems that we still have trouble with on CF10.

  So, Yes, be nice to be actually taken in charge as a paying client instead of having to use the forums or a friendly Downloader outside the company.

  I have originated the EddieLotter referenced post.  These links work, for once.  However, do not despair, because Charlie Arehart (well respected in the community of the CF) has provided a link to a CF downloads repo.  I hope you find it useful.

  And although Adobe is hosting this forum, there are very few employees Adobe who deign to enter.  There are a few (Anit_Kumar, hahul_u) who seem to be more frequent than others.  But the fact is that Adobe does not give rectum a rodent on their customers.  They are very much like Micro$ oft - "our users will love is what fit us into their throat, or that they will LOVE it, no matter how difficult, we do for them to acquire or use."

Contact manufacturer. "Part of the cut-off message suddenly.

  Then, it appeared that the installation occurred, but when I open the software of the interface has not looked "smooth." Then, almost immediately said Acrobat Pro XI 11.0.04 software update is available for download, but the computer would not allow that it be installed error citing the original problem. I uninstalled Pro XI and tried to download it again from the Adobe Web site, but the window immediately open for Akamai and said full download.
