album art with size restrictions?

Hello. Being new to the "rocket" I wonder if there is a size restriction concerning the album art files?

I copied many of my audio files directly to the "rocket". View the album art included as folder.jpg in the respective album folder. That has worked well.

Now, I have a few more added albums today (.) The OGG files) with the files of art with sizes of some 200 kb which do not show...

any advice? Thank you

There is a limit to the size of album art and photos.  It has not documented how this size, so I don't think that someone has found the exact limit.  It is also not clear if this is a file size limit of resolution (or both).

200 KB sounds like extremely large album art.  I found that the "rocket" is a mediocre (and slow) work resizing photos/art.  You will get a much better quality and more vivid in the UI performance if you resize the album art on the drive to 120 x 120 (the size of the art is displayed full-screen coverage).  In addition, you can save space on the drive as well.

Hi - I'm new and really confused!

Is it possible for someone to explain VERY SIMPLY how to get album art of WMP12 in "rocket"? She shows in WMP, but does not appear automatically when you synchronize on. A simple step by step guide would be great!

    Thanks in anticipation...

Thank you - I have no problem with the album art on WMP12, I want just sync it to the "rocket" so that when I drag an album in the sync list, and then on 'Start Sync' art is located on the "rocket". I don't know why, I'm having problems with this? I'm new in the world of MP3 files so step by step instructions would be very welcome.

So, to sum up, it becomes the art on the "rocket" simply when I sync.

Just a theory, but USB mode, you are in? I think that if you see the art on WMP, but it syncs, that maybe MTP mode would bring art. I do not use WMP12 with my Win7, I prefer Mediamonkey... but I think that might help.

  • Retrieve album art with AppleScript

Benevolent God, there are more properties for a follow-up in the .sdef of iTunes that I could ever imagine. However, who is notably absent is the cover of the album. Since this is not directly a property, is there another way I can retrieve the track album art?

Œuvre of art is a part of a track, not a property. Titles can have several works of art, each of which has its own set of properties.

It is pretty trivial to get, if:

    say application "iTunes."

the value myArtwork for each piece of track 1 in playlist "music."

    end say

Once you have, you can analyze the data as you want. For example, to extract the JPEG image, you can:

    say application "iTunes."

the value myArtwork for first work of track 1 in playlist "music."

If the format of myArtwork is then set myPicture JPEG photo to the data of myArtwork

    end say

  • Album art size - Windows Media Player 12

Repost this, in the hope that someone (obviously not MS, who clearly couldn't care) has an idea how to solve this
I've seen dozens of discussions around the intarnetz on the issue of small album art in Windows Media Player 12, but does not find a definitive 'yes' or 'No' to the question of whether you can get something larger than the resized image pathetic 240 x 240 display when you play a track. Is this possible? If I play titles in Foobar or MediaMonkey (the two programs I hate, BTW) I can get album art to display 'properly' (i.e. the actual size of the image) but cannot find how do in WMP12
PS: Mods - do NOT mark this question as "answered" once some muppet of first line reads and publishes a 'response' nothing on it. Also, do not rename the question "how to get album art to display more than 240 x 240 - I don't want" more than 240 x 240' - I want it displays THE ACTUAL SIZE OF the WORK - just like WMP always used to do. ' " Thank you very much.

I found a solution for the problem of art version 32-bit windows 7 wmp12 album also (since prior to the given by me is true only for Windows 7 64 - bi wmp12).

    Here it is:

Make a backup before doing the prescribed steps as mess with registry can lead to a DEAD computer.

(For backup just click on COMPUTER in regedit.exe, and then file-> export-> 'file name' (may take a few minutes))

    1) go to the path in the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences

    (2) then create a key with the name 'PlayerModeAlbumArtSelected' and set its value data to ' ' as '0' (without qoutes) (for the creation of new key, right click anywhere inside the window and select "new-> DWORD (32-bit) Value")

    (3) then find the key with the name 'ShowAlbumArt' and its 'value data' the value "1" (without qoutes)

The Windows Media Player 12 now shows the original AlbumArt who put you in the song.

    Enjoy!

  • Help! windows 7 Windows media player: the album (with album art) icons are HUGE! How to make their small new

HELP! Im not sure how it happened, but today, by using windows media player, I think that I leaned on my keyboard, by chance and somehow my icons have grown from small (such as 4 cm wide) to huge (as 9 cm wide). I put it on the "icons" option and always have. I tried to find out if there was a zoom button or something that would cause this happens on my keyboard, but there is not, it's just a standard keyboard. Then I tried switching modes, for "tile" of fashion, but they are huge in this point of view too, only 3 albums are now through my screen, when there used to be 6. I prefer them smaller, because it won't take long to scroll down threw them, I sense a tun of the music. I looked in the settings and can't seem to find a way to change their return. Please let me know if you have a solution for me! Thank you guys!

    HI Branika,

    Apology for a delayed response.

You can try this procedure and check if it retains the size original album art information of the media file in Windows Media Player:

    • Open the media file in Windows Media Player. Click on the file and then press F4. Now the album art will not be displayed.
    • Press the F4 key from the keyboard. This will reset the size of the info from the album. This works very well for a specific file. You can also choose to support those who don't have the default size and use specific keys to reset.

If this does not help, we will proceed with several troubleshooting steps ahead.

We will restore the size of album art using the registry change and check if it helps. Check out the link and follow the suggestions that are marked as an answer:

Hi guys just got my rocket today well.

slight problem is that all my album art displayed on the legacy, therefore, some is not... so far I just open the folder my computer sanza and meant a lot of album in there from my office. Any ideas why some of the art appears, but some doesn't?

Also is there anything else I should be doing now, I own one of them? Am I very reccomened to download. updates etc.

Please me school on that I've never owned anything like that before.

    Thank you very much.

There are a few things that you might want downlaoding, the thing most important (and most frequently recommended) to download Mp3tag. Then depending on your intended use of the reader you can consider to Sansa Media Converter, you will need if you want to play videos or photos (other than album art) on the drive. Definitally make sure that you update the firmware. Regarding next album covers the configuration of your tags are there are several ways to do so. Download mp3tag and use it to look at those who have worked the album art, then make sure that those who do not work is configured in the same way.

  • Album art stuck to an album gets associated with some other albums too, apparently without a model

I go to my music library on WMP 12 (Windows 7-64 bit) Paste album art missing album that I found on an Internet image search is not available in 'album' base data info... Microsoft when I right click and past the album art from the Clipboard, it updates immediately, but the player of closing and reopening it I conclude that art is also available on other albums... for example, me was missing album art for two albums of Greenday, Nimrod and attention... when I pasted art for "Warning", not only update in THIS package, it also showed the same album art for "Nimrod."  I then found, copied and pasted the album art for "Nimrod" and not only it updated, but replaced the album art for 'Warning' to art itself.  Rinse and repeat.  Also, I often get an error message that says: 'album art cannot be replaced while the album is being used' when it is not.

I can't find tips for troubleshooting for this problem in the base of knowledge... suggestions?

Got it - it's a bit different in Windows 7, though - there is no "Run", just a search box button.  However, you can simply type "run" in the search box and click the 'run' item... then follow these instructions, pretty much - except actually impossible to change the database if it is huge, as is mine (it is too large for Notepad to manage) and you can not delete without first stopping the service "Windows Media Network Sharing"... then , she rebuilt the database (SLOWLY in my case – my music library has approximately 8000 cuts in it, about 1500 different albums). Thank you!

  • The title of the album Art not centered

I added to my TV series of album art in iTunes, but the work is the size of a (rectangular compared to the square) DVD cover and iTunes don't center-align the text of the title of TV Show in the middle of the work. A way to solve this problem?

behavior of iTunes with rectangular drawing (portrait) changed several releases ago centered to left-aligned.  The only way to solve this problem is to use an image editor suitable to make the place of the image: cropping the image or the aspect ratio or adding spaces to the left and to the right.

  • My album art does not charge even after it has been added by get info > add work then press OK

SO I recently did the music on my computer, and I wanted to add to my phone. After you download the tracks to itunes, I tried to add album art, I did. To be honest, it does not work. Here's what I do: Get Info > add an illustration. At this point, I see my art, and when I click it, it changes to be enclosed by a blue square free of deceit. Of course, I click on it so that it appears highlighted, as such, but when I click OK, nothing happens. ITunes is seem to be in the process of loading, but then the three notes "do - do" there, and nothing has changed.

For reference, the work is a compressed JPEG size 1625 squared.

What is happening with my itunes? Is this a known bug?

What is the format of the tracks?  If they are. WAV files, you can't combine work with them.  Otherwise, the issue may be that the files are read-only, or that the Windows permissions prevent the updated files to integrate the image.

  • (another) album art probem

Hi I'm new here and I'm sorry if this question was asked millions of times but I'm not looking and cannot always solve my problem

the question is, I have connected my Fuze in MTP mode, used Media Monkey and WMP11 for importing files, but sometimes arts album show up, sometimes, they don't. Each file has built-in pouch and each folder a folder.jpg album or Album Art.jpg and inside .alb file. All images are 120 x 120 and less than 50 KB.

Please help me, I'm tired of delete and synchronize everything again and again

    Thank you for reading

    1. Make sure all your tags are ID3v2.3 ISO-88559-1 (No UTF). The combo (ID3v1, ID3v2.3) tag is OK, but you don't want some that are v1 & some that are the v2.3. Media Monkey can be allright, but a dedicated like MP3TAG tagging program is specifically designed to do one thing; and do it correctly. Tag music files. And it's free.
    2. I would be suspicious to use Photoshop to 'Edit' or change album art images. It can record the result in a format (although it may still be .jpg) that the "rocket" has a reading problem (there are different versions of the .jpg format). There should be no need to modify or to try to improve these tiny images anyway. Whatever changes you make to an image is probably is not going to be visible in his poster the size on the screen of the rocket. The maximum size of any image of album art should be only around 200 x 200 (or even less). Something more great as it is will only be reduced to the displayed size, compaction (or compression) the image still further, which leads to less distinction and clarity (the opposite of what you want). Also if the image is too large, the "rocket" will not even appear at all. It's all just too big to handle.
    3. Choose a name for your art files and stick to it. I have all mine as 'album art.jpg. I have several players of e200 series and they all work for me. Then the "rocket" is out, and everyone now says the album art has to be labelled "folder.jpg". Is there a difference, and the "rocket" have a preference? I have no idea. I'm certainly not going through several hundred albums and add another file 'folder.jpg' for each album folder! I recently got a rocket did not have honestly a lot of time playing with it at the moment. I put some files on it and it seemed to view the files 'album art.jpg' very well. They can both work, but I wouldn't have a combination of both. I their name to one or the other and stick with it.
    4. Also I wouldn't "cover your bet" by having the two embedded album art and separate 'album art.jpg' file in each folder from the album. This could be the cause of confusion in the brain wee of the rocket, "only one I watch, this one or that? (unintentional ryhmes) Once again, one or the other. There is no need for both. Supposedly, with the latest version of Firmware, embedded album art support has been added for MP3 files, but in the last days, I read that this cannot be fixed 100% yet. So if you already have a file 'Add' art for all your records album in any case, you can remove the "embedded" art in the ID3tag. It's also something MP3TAG can do fo you.

EDIT: I just took a look at the songs of the sample that came pre-installed on my Fuze. He has a record ALBUMS. The e200 series players this is different. This isn't the ALBUM folder I was alluding to in the discussion where the 'album art.jpg' file should be located. It is in the MUSIC/ARTIST/ALBUM folder alongside the music files themselves.

This new ALBUMS folder is in the root directory alongside the MUSIC, PHOTO, VIDEO, & SERVICE records. This is a "hidden" file and it contains files .alb of all music that is loaded on the player.

I also grew these music pre-installed in MP3TAG files. All were indeed the tag (ID3v1, ID3v2.3) combo and each of them had "built-in" album art

  • Contribution of random information - Album Art

    Hello fellow Fuzers!

I finished converting my 400 CD MP3s and I am now in the process of conversion of almost 1000 vinyl albums.  The only obstacle is album art to enjoy in my rocket during playback and who need to have images to 172 x 172. Since iTunes and various other online sources use images much more large on their website I found an excellent source of album clip art file in iTunes before syncing to my Fuze - CD Universe.

    1. Google the artist name, album and include a CD Universe

2 9 times out of 10 the first page of results under Google Images will have a list of CD Universe with an image of the album you want to 170 x 170.

    3. open the image in your browser.

    4. right click and save the image to your Clipboard.

    5. right click and paste to the area of the image in iTunes.

Hope this random bit of info is useful to someone.

    At the latest,

Where people get the idea that the "rocket" requires the album art to be 172 x 172 of?

Although there is an upper limit for the maximum size that is more than 300 x 300. The "rocket" album art to fit what screen it currently shows it on the scales. In the list of albums he can scale down to a tiny thumbnail next to the name of the album, in the playback screen now he adjusted to a medium size and if you press the button to the Center twice that it can evolve into a larger pouch only display dimensions.

The 'standard' album art has always been 200 x 200 (and the "rocket" works very well with this size). Almost all the other images of size on the Internet have been scaling down the size of 200 x 200 normal still. There are tons of images of album at 200 x 200 (give or take a pixel or two) on the Internet to choose. So, I have no idea why people even worth messing around with other sizes to begin with.

  • Low quality when importing through Media Go album art

When the album art is added manually in Media Go, it is scaled to 640 x 640 and recompressed in a<150 kb="" image="" with="" 4:2.0="" chroma="">

The result seen on a smartphone with a screen high resolution range from disappointing to terrible. On the Xperia Z3 with the current application of the Walkman for example, album art is displayed on screen to 787 x 787. 640 x 640 would end up a bit soft but acceptable, but with the extreme comrpession it looks hideous.

During extraction of music FLAC or high flow MP3 or AAC, it is not essential to this work be compressed as much. When I prepare the album art I resize it to 787 x 787 and save it in the format JPEG with 4:4:4 chroma sampling, and depending on the complexity of the art and the setting of the quality, the result usually ends up range from 200 KB to 400 kB. This gives a perfectly acceptable quality to this resolution and is of a reasonable size in 2015.

I don't know why Media Go emphasizes the art of recompression in quality of phone service mid-' 00s era. But I would like the possibility to embed the original JPEG Media Go ' such what» Currently, I have to go through the music with Mp3tag to replace art. It works, but then I have to close Media Go to avoid conflicts of files.

Let the Media Go fetch worst Gracenote art still produce results.

Don't know why photos are put on the scale / compressed in a way but as you say, it's probably because of the size and compatibility for Media Go is used for many different devices. Currently I can only recommend that you use your current solution or use another software to rip your CD.

  • Cannot manually add album art

I just got a new computer and installed the latest version of iTunes for Windows. I added my music library without any problems and was pleased to see that album art has been updated automatically but on the few remaining albums who had not added automatically work I am unable to do it manually (click with the right button on album > info > work). Art seems to have been added but when I hit "ok" and return to iTunes there is no change, it still shows the grey double quaver.

I've done several times before and had no problems.

  • Album art disappears for songs from the same album.

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem with AirPlay on Apple TV (4th generation)

Album art perfectly fine poster to a playlist in which each subsequent song has a different album cover than the preceding.

If, however, I play 2 or more songs in succession from the same album (and with the same cover), the album cover displays the playback of the first track and then disappears to the other songs on this album. Album art does not appear again until a song on a new album (with different cover art) is selected.

If you want to report your experience to Apple, you can send them your feedback here, choose 'Report a problem' in the menu type of feedback.

When the music plays to Apple TV since iOS album art appears for the first song in an album or a playlist. After the next song, the album art shows a gray music note. It's intermittent, but it happens often. Seems to happen more consistently with Spotify, but also happens with Apple music.

I've noticed that when my ATV 4 AirPlaying Slacker Radio. In my case, they are long unique jazz tracks, and the album cover cannot paste at the end of the track.
