• Satellite A300D - 21(d) - burning software does not recognize my optical drive

  I've updated preinstalled Vista Home with Vista Bussiness x 64, and since then, I have problems with my optical drive. Notepad is a month old.

  It reads CDs and DVDs without problem, but when I start the burning software (Toshiba Disc Creator and Burner XP Pro), it can not read my camera. BurnerXP Pro it says 'no compatible drives', and Toshiba DC I first get a few repeat mistakes (32007C-26-00000001, 32019-26-00000001) and when I click on 'disc information', it has no options in the drop-down menu "Drive".

  When I insert the blank disc, Windows gives me an option to burn files using Windows, although I have not yet tried.

  I tried to reinstall the drivers, but it does not help. My firmware is also updated.

  The device is TSST corp CDDVDW TS - L633A Ata Device.

  Friend of me has had a similar problem that he couldn t burn CDs or DVDs more. He was using the Nero software and not from Toshiba or CD Burner XP, but he removed the upper and lower filters Windows registry and after this all worked.

• Red Apple icon shown when loading the software containing the two Vista and Apple software - does not recognize Windows

  I recently bought 2 bits of software that contain the Apple and Microsoft (Vista) versions on one CD.  When I insert the CD into my Vista PC, it can not find or load the installation files.  Instead, if I look at what is on the drive, I see an icon of the Red Apple.  If I put the same CD on Vista PC to my wife, it loads correctly.  If I load the version of WIndows 7 software, it loads correctly and run the program until he acknowledges that the operating system is Vista not Windows 7.  Something triggered something on my Vista PC to do brand new loading on my CD player program needs to ignore files in vista and show files apple as if they were independent.  Is there a toggle for this problem?  If I run the software of Microsoft ' Fix It' - the solution that I see on most boards, it does not.  As far as I know, other Vista users are facing this problem without solution by MIcrosoft or any other tech tips.

  The problem is with a program from Mediafour.  It's called xplay 3.  If you uninstall this program, everything works fine.

• Tecra M5 - Fingerprint software does not recognize the drive

  I have instaled new Windows 7 32 bit on my Tecra M5 - 12Z and I installed devices drivers provided by Toshiba. All devices were recognized even properly fingerprint reader, but the fingerprint software (Protector Suite QL) says that can't find the fingerprint reader.
  I tried with the driver for Windows Vista with the same result.

  I m not a Tecra owner, but you should try to reinstall the finger printer reader driver and software. It s worth a try! ;)

  Also check that the latest version of the BIOS is installed. You can download it on the Toshiba page:

  When I try to run PS5520_1315.exe, I get an error if the printer is not recognized.  I have the printer and the router, also wired USB.  The printer works and the control panel scanner scan function works, but I've never been able to laod any software on my machine - so that I can scan in formats other than images.

• Put HP1012 in place. The installation process does not recognize the printer.

  I've made sure the device is on and the usb cable is connected.  Printer worked fine until I needed to reinstall the windows xp operating system.  Now reinstall the printer set up the software does not recognize the printer.  Before reinstalling the operating system, the printer worked great even if it is quite old.  I use the original CD game in the installation process.

  Problem solved.  I plugged the printer into different usb port cable and the computer immediately recognized the printer.  Previously, I had ports different usb, but not the one where he worked.  I have 7 usb ports on this computer, and it seems that one does not work.
