  I just installed 10 windows on my computer (I have windows 7), but illustrator does not work, you open the charger, but does not open the program.

  Exactly as indicated by our MVP, compatibility issues hit blindly and it is not very rare that one of your apps (PS) works in this case well and I is not. Suggest you to upgrade.

• Illustrator CS5 + El Capitan = Mac crashing!

  I have a problem since the installation of El Capitan. When you use Adobe Illustrator CS5, any time I try to use the eyedropper tool, the program will crash as soon as I click on the object, I'm trying to copy the color of.

  I noticed that I am able to use the pipette with success ONLY when copying the color of a color object. If I try to copy the color of an object with a -bottom gradient, or copy a color of an embedded image/photo, the crash is immediate.

  Looks like the forum script has been very busy lately with just one year ago. Congratulations to all of you who have been answering the questions. I hope to have some time soon to participate more that I have lately.

  So I do not know if I nailed the issue properly in my topic so please allow me to explain. I wrote an application in Visual Basic that interects with Illustrator CS5.1, or at least he did until I installed Illustrator CS6 trial. I'll switch to this version at some point in the future, but for now I still need to use CS5.1. Previously (before installation of the CS6 trial) I just used - CreateObject ("Illustrator.Application") - to create an instance of Illustrator. After you have installed the trial CS6, the current version kept CS6 launches. So I thought - easy enough - so my line now - reads CreateObject (my. Resources.CurrentVersionCS) - where my. Resources.CurrentVersionCS = "Illustrator.Application.CS5". But keep shooting instead of CS5 CS6.

  I gave forums to research a good 'College Try' to try to find the answer before porstiong, but came up empty. Could someone lend some meaning to this for me?

• Illustrator CS5 / Windows 7 crashes on save

  I have problems with a brand new installation of Illustrator CS5 (from the CS5 Master Collection) on a brand new workstation HPZ400 Xeon with 8 GB of ram.

  If I create a new document, draw shapes a bit and add some text, it works as expected and records ok.

  If I try to copy/paste in the document, when I try to save him, Illustrator quits unexpectedly and Windows 7 throws up an alert with Adobe Illustrator CS5 had stopped working.

  I have patched Illustrator to 15.01 and the problem persists. I've renamed the preferences file to force HAVE recreate but the behavior is the same.

  I did not have this problem on previous versions (although they certainly were running either XP or a mac). Other applications in the collection seem to work ok.

  Strange... it's like vanilla, a possible installation. Any help would be great.

  Illustrator is different from other Adobe applications, it must have a default printer and I understand that the printer must be set to manual then this way is not automatic?

  If I were you I do a search on Adobe's Web site for such a problem and see if they have a white paper on the issue.

I just picked up a new work computer (it's a brand new IMac) and it works great except that it won't save my illustrator documents, which is a problem, since all my work is made of illustrator documents. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the program, but when I went to download Illustrator CS5, I get the following error message:

  'Install' is corrupted and cannot be opened. You must eject the disk image.

  'Install' is on the "DesignStandard_CS5_LS1 - 5.dmg" disk image

  Safari has downloaded this disk image today at 09:34 from trials3.adobe.com.

  My company bought Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Standard before I started working here and has always the serial number and the drive, but my new IMac is not a hard drive.

  Illustrator CS5 is 32-bit and Windows 10 is a 64-bit OS, unstable kind of compatibility (as appropriate).

  Illustrator CS5 is not officially supported on Windows 10 and there are not too many people in this forum has been to get it to run, so you're basically on the search of your own stuff.
