• Advanced registry optimizer reports many errors after Microsoft updates

  I recently downloaded 22 this so-called upgrades and installed on a computer with zero (0) errors before downloads.  After the download and installation of my Registry Optimizer program advanced recorded 266 errors as follows.  Active X and com = 16 errors; Types of files = 12 errors; history = 1 error; software = 50 errors. and Deep Scan = 187 errors.  My computer would be difficult to restart and was so slow to respond that I couldn't believe it.  I managed to run the Advanced Registry Optimizer, which exposed the errors and he was able to fix everything, but 3.  Is this a result of sloppy programming or what? I don't know if I have to use microsoft update programs again. Any comments?

  I don't think that this has nothing to do with Microsoft Update. Yahoo have recently updated their servers and you need to change your settings to match.

  Right-click on the account name in the folders pane, and then select Properties. On the servers tab, change the server addresses to match those listed on this page: the pop server settings While you're there, make sure that my server requires authentication is selected and that the ports are correctly selected on the tab Advanced , with this server requires a secure connection (SSL) selected for both.

  Click on work offline and delete all messages waiting for the Outbox (below the records of account in the folders pane), and then compose a new test message and send it to yourself. Send error messages in your response.

If I click on "Add a printer" in the menu devices and printers, I get the following message: "Windows can't open add printer."  The local print spooler service is not running.  Please restart the spooler or restart the machine. "I rebooted the computer and the same thing continues to happen.  I did a system restore and the printers are all back.  It seems that every time there is a change to any software, it creates this problem.  Help, please!   When the updates are installed, the printers will be lost and when you try to start the print spooler service, you get the service saying error 1053 has failed to demand launch or timely control.

   

  The problem may occur if some system files are corrupted or because of malicious content.

• Can't print on network printers after Microsoft Update

  I have 3 other computer Windows XP SP3, which, after having done the automatic updates in the last 4 days. (Week of (13/09/2010) have lost the ability to print on network printers.  Computers are different subnets, using different brands of printers.  In any printer IP can be crazy and network connections are good.

  Have deleted updates using Add / Remove programs in Control Panel.  Have deleted the printers and ports and re-installed, changed the settings of the printer to print directly, restarted the printer-queue service.  All have failed to correct the problem.  What Miss me?

  I found the solution to my computers.  Apparently, there was an interaction between Windows Update and McAfee in which McAfee ended up with a list of blocked for the server application entry of spooling print:

  The application name = Spooler SubSystem App
  Application = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SPOOLSV path. EXE

  Once I changed the permissions to "Allow" for this application, I was able to print directly to the printer again.

  I just downloaded and upgraded my system because I was working with a problem with the beta of Windows Live Writer w4 and after updating the SD memory on my computer no longer works.

  Remove the Vista updates; two ways to do this:

  1. a System Restore to before the updates:

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > System Restore > restore time/choose your own date > next

  If you use Norton, disable it before using the system restore.

  If it is impossible to enter the Normal Mode, do a Safe Mode system restore:

  Press F8 at the startup/power and the list of startup options, use THE ARROW key to select Safe mode > and then press ENTER.

  System restore steps according to the info above.

  Also:

  2. click on start > right click on computer > properties > Windows updates down the lower left corner > updates installed in the lower left corner in the next window

  > then click the one that you don't want > uninstall will appear at the top > uninstall it.
