Alps pointing device stopped.

Downloaded versions updated "alps pointing device", deleted the old version and installed various new, restarted my computer (Presario c 700/32-bit), initially until you get a window that says installation may not occuured due to incompatibility issues with my version of windows. Before restarting, install wizard said installation was successful, but the device is not in the devices, or it works.

It comes with Vista, upgrade install and activate Forum.

  • I get 3 warnings from security incentive me to run/cancel the Alps pointing device

I've recently updated my laptop pointing device drivers for Alps. The drivers installed successfully and I restarted my computer.
Now, every time I start windows I get 3 warnings of security prompting me to run or cancel the following files:

    C:\Program Files\Apoint2K\Apoint.exe

  • HOW TO DISABLE/REMOVE ALPS POINTING DEVICE IN W7

How can I get rid of the Alps on the DM1, using W7 pointing device?

If uninstall you from Device Manager, they will continue to return.  Effectively disabling the touchpad will make a decoration.  Most laptops have a sensitive button in the upper left of the touchpad.  If you doubltap this button, touchpad should become disabled.

Some laptops offer this option in the properties of the mouse.

    1. go to start, search for mouse and open mouse in Control Panel.

    2. Select the device settings tab.

    3. the keyboard should be listed.  Highlight it and there should be a button turn off just below the text window.  By clicking on the button turn off should disable the touchpad.

If I have the product number, I I would like to be able to check if it has the ability to turn off in the corner of the touchpad and provide more specific measures.  There are several models with the series DM1.

    Let me know what happens.

  • ALPS pointing device - how to restore the scroll function

Until a few days before, my mousepad has allowed me to scroll. I tried looking at the settings in the control panel / mouse, but the options have disappeared.

Is this a driver problem? If so, should which driver I download and where from?

    The current driver is:
    V5.3.203.18
    and was created 17/07/2003

If it's not a driver problem, anyone have any suggestions on how to restore the scrolling feature?

    Thanks a lot :)

I put t really understand what the problem is here. As far as I know, the mouse settings cannot disappear so easy. In any case try to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool. Maybe this option will be there again.

  • Tecra M7: Vista 'Open file security warning' for Alptec pointing device .exe files

I gritted my teeth and updated my M7 for Vista Ultimate Friday. Overall I am very happy with the results. I have stripped the machine of all Toshiba drivers before installation and then re-installed all Vista drivers afterwards.

Everything seems to be OK aside, whenever I boot, I get the following errors when the device pointing Alptec drivers load: open file security warning - the Publisher could not be verified.
Are you sure you want to run this program? The file is: C:\Porgram Files\Apoint2k\appoint.exe, then the same thing for: c:\Popram Files\Apoint2K\ApmsgFWD.exe and C:\Program Files\Apntex.exe. I click "Run" on each of the applications and uncheck the button "always Me ask."

It makes no difference and every time that I reboot, I get the same error. If anyone has had this problem, and if so, do you know how to fix it?

I suspect it is a problem of certificate with Alps Electric Co Ltd and have checked their website and found nothing.

    Help much appreciated as always.

    Hello

Just a question before we start any discussion here: have you downloaded and installed the drivers, tools and utilities for Toshiba download page in order facilities listed in the instructions facilities document?

BTW: where you have downloaded the pointing device Alptec driver?

  • Re: Satellite Pro 40 synaptic pointing device does not properly

Hello, I have a Pro L40 brand new satellite and the synaptic mouse pad stopped working.
When I go to control panel > mouse I get a message teling me that the system is "unable to connect to the synaptic pointing device driver.
I have installed a different mouse, so I refused to uninstalling the driver, another dialog box informs me that the "Windows host process (Vista) Rundll32 has stoped working", informing me that 'a problem caused the oprogram to work corectly' and that 'Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is not available", the only solution is to close program.
Although the mouse works, overall, I've lost forward scrolling and tapping features of the mouse pad, a little disappointing in a computer laptop lesst han a month.
Any suggestions? The laptop does nto come with a Vista installation CD, I would have one? I can re - install the driver? It is available on the Toshiba site? What and where should I look?
A big thank you to all those who might be able to help.

OK, so it's probably not usual to answer yourself and it may well be a sign of madness, but I found a solution and wanted to share, but also to prevent someone lose precious time replying.

I typed the question the old adage "the answer to a question may lie in the question itself" drifted into my little brain.
It dawned on me that, as Windows error messages indicate a driver problem, the simplest solution would be to find one and and re - install; so I found the downloads > drivers Vista > Synaptic Pointing Device driver, downloaded and installed, and Hey Presto! Back to scrolling and tapping-up for England!

  • Synaptics Touchpad and Pointing Device Driver missing on Satellite A200?

    Hey,.

I received a notification of upgrade on the touchpad synaptics installed on my laptop A200 - 1 m 4 and after I installed that the touchpad respond well, so I rolled back the driver, but he wouldn't use the scroll option. I reinstalled the driver again, but still I couldn't use the scroll function.

On the icon in the taskbar, when I want to see the chart pressue accessory it gives me this msg * sorry, this program requires a Synaptics TouchPad, and the Synaptics pointing Device Driver * I miss him the 2nd can't so anyone made me know where I can find the installer for it.

Thank you very much in advance,
    LEEN

    Hello

Satellite A200 - 1 M 4 belongs to the series of PSAE0E and you choose this serial number for a driver download.

On the European driver Toshiba page you will find the * Alps Electric Touch Pad driver *. (This driver allows you to set the properties and functions of mouse control) and
the * Synaptics Touchpad driver * (this driver allows you to set the properties and the touch pad control functions).

    Both must be installed!

If that doesn't help then try to roll back the BONE to this early time (until you've updated the driver for the first time)

    Good bye

YES NO (click on one or the other). +

I have not installed anything new, so I am confused as what to do :/

    Hello

It looks like the driver for the touchpad stopped working.
I have no idea why, but I recommend that you install the driver once more.

Visit the page of the Toshiba UE driver.
Select your notebook series and download the touchpad driver.
Then unzip the driver package and install the driver.
Reboot the laptop and test again.

  • Equium P200 - using Synaptics Pointing Device - keeps minimizing my screen

Just bought the laptop for all devices must be updated.

The touchpad uses the Synaptics pointing device and often closes my screen or it minimises when I'm with her, be it in my email account or online.

You know not so relevant but have installed Vista. Have tried to look up this loophole, but no luck so far. Any help would be appreciated gatefully.

    Thanks in advance.

If you bought your laptop a few days ago the first thing we do is to check all relevant parameters and understand this tochpad works. You will see that the touchpad has many different settings and I am sure that you accidentally use some of them.

There is certainly no fault. I have the same laptop model and do not have this defect. Maybe you should disable tap zones.

  • Equium P300-16 t - Synaptics Pointing Device does not work correctly

    I hope someone can help.

Just bought this laptop and for some reason, I get an error message come saying the Synaptics Pointing Device does not work properly. The touchpad loses some functions and a warning appears informing me of this. I can still use it, but disappears from the icon in the taskbar with the flashing blue dot - when I go into the control panel it says the driver and he asks if I installed another ps/2 pointing device driver

Looking forward to any help you can give.

Suggest that you reinstall simply touch pad drivers. Maybe new version?
So, just uninstall drivers, restart your computer, reinstall the drivers.

Drivers are located on the download page of European drivers.
