• How can I disable a default amazon mp3 downloader?

  I tried to download a MP3 of Amazon and stupidly installed Amazon MP3 Downloader. I can't seem to get rid of it, or remove automatic default for MP3 downloads from the firefox options (applications). Files won't download properly with Amazon Downloader although they (via another computer) will download very well if Amazon Downloader is not installed. I'm not very technical interested so I'm just going along in circles. What is a plug-in and how to remove it (if that's the problem)?

  Thank you. I tried that and it seemed to uninstall. Unfortunately, when I went back to retry the download, it still gave me the same default option. In the early hours of this morning, I discovered the plug-ins and how to disable them. That does the trick! Hurrah!

  the format WMA before you import into Movie Maker.

• I have an i - pod and I'm trying to load amazoin downloads top but the Media Player cannot synchronize or recognize my device. all the ideas around it?

When I go to media player and plug the usb of my i - pod, the section timing does not even recognize I have a connected device and not syn. The songs will play on computer but don't transfer on the i - pod. any ideas how to solve this problem?

  With media player, do you mean Windows Media Player?

  WMP is not supported with built-in support for sync with an iPod. However, you may install a third-party plug-ins listed in the http://thewelltemperedcomputer.com/SW/WMP/Sync.htm to add this support.

  Alternatively, you can also use iTunes, or built-in iPod support to Winamp for synchronization.

  I bought Steve Martin, 'the Crow' (banjo music) on Amazon MP3 store.  I noticed that the artist, album and the songs were all appearing as [] (rectangular box) on the "rocket".

  After several attempts to rewrite the tags, I used mp3tag.  I don't know exactly what I did that made the change, but I changed the setting in the Options of the tags > "ID3v2.3, UTF-16" MPEG "ID3v2.4, UTF-8", then 'Save tag' on all files. ""  Now, they appear correctly on the "rocket".

  Weird, but I'm happy to have found a workaround.

  The tags are probably delivered to Amazon by the label, then maybe label homegrown little Steve Martin sent weird tags. Bet when the album is re-released on Rounder people will have less problems.

  As long as you use mp3tag, you must assign to ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1.  UTF (Unicode) tags are not as reliable in the Sansa.

  In general, a retailer like Amazon will provide a product code that allows you to verify your student status and get a serial number to work. If you are in North America and you have a version of the Student and Teacher Edition of Acrobat DC (as opposed to a students and teachers version) you enter the code here: identity-e 2.0.   After the filing of the evidence, you will receive your serial number with in a few days. If you have followed the steps, and your product code still does not work, you will need to contact Amazon as advises Kglad.

  If it works in Mode safe mode and normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) off and then try to find which extension is the cause by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

  Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit ' (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit)

  • If you have many extensions then first turn on half of test extensions that half the problem.
  • Continue to divide the bad half that still has the question until you find that one is causing it.

  Experienced same problem with Amazon MP3 downloads.  Could not bring to import into Movie Maker.  Read somewhere to convert WMA of the song, but couldn't find out how to do this.  I wanted to download 3rd party software.  Had already created the CD with the songs that I wanted to use mm.   Ripped from this CD for PC with Windows Media Player, which gives you option to change the format.  Changed the format to WMA format and then imported into Movie Maker.  After all, hope this time it helps you, too.

• HHD has failed and needs to be replaced on my out of warranty Pavilion DV6 (Windows Vista)

  I have a laptop DV6 Pavilion running Windows Vista that I bought in 2009.  I realize that is no longer under warranty HP so I have to pay for any changes or corrections to this computer.

  Earlier this week, the hard drive (the one included with the computer) failed with error 03f0. It is my understanding that this error is a fatal error and the drive is essentially 'toast '... Unfortunately, I do NOT have a backup of the image of that hard drive. I have just the recovery disks that I created when I got to the computer originally.  I quite like this computer I would try out running back (if possible) without having to spend a LOT of money. In my simple mind how how I get this computer running and upward would buy/install a compatible replacement hard drive and boot the system with the recovery discs. Unfortunately, I think my plan is simply probably naïve and I probably need to do other things. So I need some advice before you start this process and possibly wasting my time and money.

  I need answers to some of these questions:

  -Will it record Windows/Vista OS and more recovery disks to get the computer running with a new hard drive?

  -If I need Windows OS disc, can I go directly to Windows/8?  OR do I need start with Windows Vista and then upgrade to Windows/8 later?  Use recovery discs and all Windows operating system? OR I can get running with just the disks in the Windows operating system?

  -If I can get the hard drive and Windows operating system loaded, I guess I need HP drivers, etc... Does it mean that I have to get the disks from HP's Windows operating system or can I get it from Microsoft or Amazon and download the drivers from HP later?

  Thanks to anyone who can help me here for advice! It will save me a LOT of time and money.

  I have implemented a review with the new Walkman, the game of Google app update, but I feel very strongly about and wanted to address here also to make sure that my point of view gets. The worst mistake that could be made with the update of the app from Walkman was to change it to 'music '.

• BlackBerry Smartphone device Media Processor is busy?

  New on the message boards here - I just downloaded my first mp3 to my BB Pearl 8130.

  I bought on amazon, then downloaded as a .wav file to try to get thim in my roxio Media Manager.  Just change the type of file to all files and then put a. WAV extension in the file name.  I do not think that they have downloaded in the roxio properly because shen that I try to play the songs on my BB, I get a message "Error reading" and it says that device Media Processor is busy?

  Is it possible to add in roxio as .amz file type?  Or is just the compressed file .amz file type? Help!

  Never mind - I think that I thought about it!  'Unzipped' just the amazon file and then put in the Roxio.  Thanks anyway!

  After a few days of fiddling, I can't install Photoshop elements 14.  I bought on Amazon and downloaded from them, but I also downloaded the trial version to see if the download was the problem.  Made no difference. office. Rebooted as suggested many, many times.

  I'm on windows with MS Office 365 10. Chrome. HP desktop with AMD Phenom II x 4 960 t 3 GHz.ACPI x 64 processor based PC. 8 GB of ram, 64 bit OS. 1280 MB paging file.

  Cannot uninstall in Control Panel because Photoshop Elements never appear in the list.

  No error code available because the file is not found.

  I used msconfig, installed as administrator, compatibility tested, look for an update to the video card, still can not install it.  Have followed all the steps of troubleshooting html and it still hangs. Readers are defined to optimize each week.

  I couldn't find my photoshop 9 discs to reinstall, so I ended up installing GIMP. I use PSE.

  Any suggestions?

  I understand your concern, as you mentioned that you have already tried the basic troubleshooting steps, I recommend you temporarily disable your firewall on the computer and security/antivirus program as well as any internet security add we installed on your browser and try again.

  Officially, it is not compatible or supported. However, some people have reported making EMP up to-and-operational 11.1.2.2 on 7 very well.   If you want a go a more reliable route / with support, you can run a Virtual Machine with a supported operating system. Cameron posted on obtaining 11.1.2.2 John Booth Amazon image downloaded and run locally: http://camerons-blog-for-essbase-hackers.blogspot.com/2012/08/bringing-cloud-down-to-ground-and-no.html. Of course, you can also configure a virtual machine with an operating system that is supported and do the installation yourself.
