  I think the only way to make your system works correctly again is to restore with the cdrom of onboard catering.   Just thought that I would close this topic with having solved this problem. Amazon.ca has offered the EX2700 on sale for less than $25 (CAD!), so I thought that I had little to lose by purchasing / trying instead of the configuration. All that was needed was the Quick Setup and configuration allowed for the equipment on the floor, getting the 192.168.2.x subnet I needed. Everything works very well and the intensity of the signal through the floor was 95%. I am fine!!
