  I had a similar problem last year and I did the following steps:

  -Disconnect the battery and the AC adapter
  -Wait at least an hour or over night for example
  -Reconnect the two (battery and AC/DC adapter)
  -Try to start the laptop

  If that doesn t work, this seems to be a malfunction of the equipment. Maybe the card mother, AC/DC adapter or something else
  You should ask your local ASP help ;)

  what you see, is the difference in how the capacity of the disk is announced and how the computer calculates it. If you look at most of the packages in the retail car, there will be a text indicating: 1 GB = 1 000 000 000 bytes. Yes 320,000,000,000 bytes in your case.

  contrast that to the way your pc does accounting where a 1 GB is 1024 x 1024 x 1024 bytes, or 1 073 741 824 bytes. Therefore, 320,000,000,000 divided by 1.073.741.824 is 298,02 Go reported by the pc.

  Cd/dvd driver for my Toshiba laptop will not work. It lasted about a year, then he became gradually sporadic to read/write or ejection and by last winter, he stopped all together. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers for it, and in Device Manager, it says that the device is functioning normally; every once in a blue moon it will suddenly eject, but then if you put something in nothing happens, even not with the original disks. With the repair utility, it says something like unreadable media, at best. I'm a little confused as to what is happening here, so, what steps should I take to verify if it is indeed the drive disc or something in the software?

  Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
  ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
  contacts data with a pencil eraser.

  Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
  manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

  as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
  the parameters.

  If this is a new computer, you should contact the manufacturer of the system of support and/or whoever you bought
  calling blackscreens on the new equipment can be very serious. Not likely to contain a virus (malware) Although

Being suspicious, I went and downloaded VMWPlayer 6.0.5 where he screwed up the installation of Workstation 10.0. Of course, he did. So I tried to install Player 6.0.5 so I could return to my suspended VM. In my opinion, what he said that I could not install because I haven't restarted. So I rebooted. Now, I can't install Player 6.0.5 or Workstation 10.0.0 or whatever it is. They all fail on the same way saying the cannot find a .msi file I can find and access.

  BTW, you guys have far too much product and names making it confusing. What should I use? Player? Workstation? Spear? vCenter, Fusion. The list goes on and. Do not try to give me the list of "well it's for this reason and this other thing". The point is there are too many products and it is too complicated.   With regard to your current number. If you install VMware Workstation, then you have also installed VMware Player next.

  Even after the expiry of VMware Workstation, you can continue to use the free VMware Player.
