  I had the same problem with my WD hard drive today after setting up my E3000. Remove the protection 'security' or the password on the disk as well as level of what the duration of sleep obtained took care of this problem. My WD is now working with my E3000 seemlesly.

• Compression type not supported error

  I recently moved to a new PC in Win 7 64 bit first CS 5.5 from an old PC to Win 7 64 bit.  Most of files loading projects and all seems well.  However, in one or two projects some of the imported not files load correctly.  When I try to import again I get a "compression type is" for the file.  All files are imported and appear in the calendar of the project with its file name.  They are all MTS files.  Some appear and play correctly, but others have big red box indicating that the file does not appear in the timeline.  The space reserved for this file is always in the timeline panel.  All of creation and the MTS files are always in the same named folders as they were in the old PC.  The MTS at the beginning of the timeline files are those that failed.  At a given time in the timeline panel. following the end of chess and the MTS files appear will work perfectly.  Dates of creation of the failed files are all in 2010 and earlier versions, the right files are from 2013.  All were made with the same HDV camera.  It's a puzzle.  Any ideas?
