  You cannot use a key of Win 7 Home on Win 10 Pro.

  You will need to install Win 10 and then move on to Win 10 Pro. Win 10 going to Win 10 percent if you had an activated copy of win 10 Pro.

  A little update just for your information. 2 days and 5 calls later (I needed to technical management, through the population of Activation - no direct number so sometimes the transferred call didn't work!) I now have a version of Windows active :) work

  However the question turns out to be that my legitimate version (package and all disks of good mine) and it's legitimate keys used did not match exactly.

  The unused key was for a version of Windows 7 Edition product update Home Premium to Windows 7 Pro, so that's why it did not work on the new facility I was trying.

  I contacted the seller amazon to let them know about this problem as it is possible that there is a lot that is perhaps not entirely legitimate.

  Once again thanks to the MVP here and people I talked on the phone before this is resolved, I suspect that this could become a problem growing with Windows 7, as people are not super keen on 8 and 7 is a solid BONE with a little support left? So even if you pay a rate of 'good' for your Windows 7 disks, be aware that you can not get exactly what you expected, and maybe it would be nice if MS has always sold direct to counter this kind of question?

  The Code 10 error code is generated when the Device Manager has not enough information or error that spread upwards by device drivers is not recognized by Device Manager. In addition, this error may occur if one of the pilots who needs the unit does not start. If multiple drivers are used by a particular device, it can be difficult to determine which failed.

• Windows 7 pro 64-bit slow start up AND slow reinstall

  So I get up in the morning, play my usual MMO... which is actually in beta at the moment. But I had to leave and I left my computer running. I come home after 6 hours or more, and it is completely off. Mind you, I have sleep mode and never close under the power management settings. I use a computer tailor-made with Asus M5a87(I think that's correct), AMDphenom ii x 6, 4GBx2 ddr3 am3 (8) and (don't laugh) ati radon hd5550 1 GB video card. I bought the motherboard, processor, RAM and HD (1 to) all at once on a year and a half. I overclocked my video card, but only a little bit to where he barely makes a difference.

So I pop in my Windows 7 cd and I boot from the CDROM. I try to run from the cd startup repair. Same results. I start from the CD, this time trying to restore a few weeks a "last known good configuration". Yet once, lasts approximately 5 hours and ends by saying that it cannot be restored. I try later. Once again, impossible to restore. So, today, I get home from work, thinking I'll just do a fresh install. I travel by this new facility and then this, once again, is super slow. It was "Expanding Windows files" for 3 hours and I'm still at 31%. I'm sorry. I happened to test both RAM sticks, they are Kingston HyperX series. (One out and try one at a time). If ever, I can't get it on my desk, I can never understand if its my processor which really slows things to the top or not. I can't on the desktop. So any help I can use inside the Bios would be nice LOL.
