  • Sync music Apple iPod Classic

Can I sync the songs from Apple's music that I put on my PC on my iPod Classic?

N ° downloads of Apple's music are written songs, not owned songs.  The device playing them requires an Internet connection to check the status of your subscription.  The only iPod with a (Wi - Fi) Internet connection is iPod touch.

  • Win7 and Itunes10.6 - iPod classic will not be perceived in portable devices under Device Manager.

IPod is seen under the hard drive and usb driver ok. In addition, not seen under "computer". Have reinstalled itunes several times. IPod is visible on a separate computer very well. Happened after the new pc and win7 upgrade. Other apple devices - nano - seen beautiful and functional with itunes on the same pc that does not see the ipod classic. I tried two classic ipod, as matter of fact, nor is seen under "computer". And tried my ipad 2 - and it works very well and seen. Just not the ipod (s). • Apple and iPod Classic music please help

    Hello

I have an iPod classic which I use for a number of speakers, I am owner and you use in my car.

I am able to download music from Apple's music in my iTunes and then sync with my iPod Classic? This will allow me to use Apple music with my iPod Classic?

    Any input would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Songs downloaded from the Apple music streaming service subscription have DRM (copy protection) which prevents loading on iPod (except iPod touch).  The computer or device must have an Internet connection to check your subscription music from Apple.

  • Activate the library of Apple's music for iPod Classic?

Just pulled out an iPod classic 60 GB of mothballs, precisely because I want to make sure a large playlist of music Apple will work in a wild environment with no signal cell or internet access.

When I try to sync the playlist, I get this message:

This warning gives strongly suggests that it is possible to turn on Apple's iPod music library. I am doubtful. But if it IS possible, how and where can I do it? The iPod has the current firmware, my Mac OS & iTunes are up to date, but I don't see that option anywhere.

It is only possible for an iPod touch, and one of those must be a fifth generation or a newer model to use pieces of Apple's music.

  • My iPod classic is synced to my old pc windows how can I send it to my new apple mac - all my music on iPod is uploaded to this topic via ads and bought on iTunes?

My iPod classic is currently synced on my old windows pc - how can I send it to my new Apple Mac without losing any of my music.  All my music is downloaded from the ads?

If you still have your old PC in working condition, with its iTunes library intact, not to use your iPod to transfer the library to your new Mac.  You transfer your data from user (not just your iTunes data) directly from the old PC to the new Mac.

There is an automated system called Migration Wizard, if your system meets the requirements.  Be sure to have a backup of the data.

    Migration of Windows v1.0.5.7 Assistant

Alternatively, for the part of iTunes, this paper outlines how do it manually, using an external drive.

Manage and backup your iTunes media library - Apple Support

To summarize, the first step is to make sure that all your iTunes data is stored in the iTunes folder ("consolidate"), which is located in your folder music user account.  The second step is to copy this folder iTunes on an external drive, to create a backup.  The third step is to restore that backup the iTunes on your new Mac folder.  Launch iTunes to use data from the old PC iTunes; It looks like iTunes running on your old PC, complete with all the songs (and other types of media) and data, such as reading lists, notes, play count, etc.

Your iPod continues to synchronize with it, because for the iPod, it's the same iTunes library (on another computer).  If you using your iPod as a data source, you add your old data to an iTunes library on Mac.  It is NOT complete.  The iPod sees it as a different iTunes library.  iPods are not designed to be your data from iTunes backup.

However, IF the iPod is now the only place where your songs are stored (and you have no other backup), thanks for posting back.

  • I am looking to buy a 'new' ipod classic. IPod Superstore claims get the new Apple iPod that Apple is still making them for 5 years, but only to sell them to a few suppliers for resale. Is this possible?

I am looking to buy a 'new' ipod classic. IPod Superstore claims get the new Apple iPod that Apple is still making them for 5 years, but only to sell them to a few suppliers for resale. Is this possible?

Probably not still making them, but Apple political is to the service of produced at least five years after they is no longer manufactured and sold

"Owners of iPhone, iPad, iPod or Mac products can get the services and Apple parts or service providers from Apple for 5 years after that the product is longer manufactured,' which is

Vintage and obsolete products - Apple Support

With the iPod, 'maintenance' means often giving you a replacement to pay the off-guarantee fee, which is $ 299 for the last classic model of the iPod, according to this document

Pricing of the Service - The Apple iPod Support

So Apple probably has a stock that's enough to last up to five years after 2014 (when the last classic model of the iPod has been abandoned).  This provider is unlikely to be an authorized dealer, as well as the iPod has not perhaps be covered by the standard warranty of one year.  That's why it comes in a regular white box, not a retail box.  It's supposed to be a replacement of maintenance for the iPod classic (latest model) owners.  It can be 'used', but it is still old.  Parts like LCD, HDD and the age of the battery by sitting in a warehouse.

  • IPod Classic 7 G 160 GB ' there was a problem installing this hardware: Apple iPod USB Device ".

    I have recently (June 2014) bought a brand new Ipod Classic 7 G 160 GB Model A1238.

Whenever I connect via USB to a PC running XP SP3 and Itunes V10.0.7.2 it is always treated as if it were a new connection, i.e. "new hardware found". After trying to install it, it says so "cannot install this hardware" and "there was a problem installing this hardware: Apple iPod USB Device."
I have also a 2009 16 GB Ipod Nano 4 G model 1285 and this is recognized by the PC whenever it is connected through the USB port itself.
I connected the Ipod Classic 7 G to a laptop running Vista and Itunes V10.0.7.2 where the Ipod is recognized and installed.

Even if the PC States that there is a problem installing the Ipod, it still appears in Itunes and I can download music to it and disconnect by using safe mode disconnect.

PC XP SP3 - Ipod Classic
I watched "Device Manager" under "Drives", the Ipod Classic is listed as an "Apple Ipod USB Device", but has an exclanation score against it.

Right-click on the 'Apple Ipod USB Device' properties and the "Volumes" tab it shows the drive with the exact name and the size of the data, by clicking on the properties of "Driver" tab it says 'Unknown' driver provider, driver Date and Driver Version as being "not available". By clicking on the "Driver Details" properties, it shows a driver file-

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\PartMgr.sys, File Version 5.1.2600.5512 (xpsp080413-2108).

Under "Device Manager" USB controllers, there is an entry for "Apple Mobile Devices USB Driver" and a "USb Mass Storage Device"

The 'Apple Mobile Devices USB Driver' lists two drivers:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\usbaapl.sys and
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\usbaaplrc.sys

The "USB Mass Storage Device" list a driver:
    C:\WINDOWS\System32\Drivers\USBSTOR. SYS

PC XP SP3 - Ipod Nano

I repeated the steps above with the Ipod Nano, connected to the PC and the driver provider is presented as Microsoft with the driver as 07/01/01 Date and Version of the driver as 5.1.2535.0.
In the "Driver Details" properties, it shows TWO driver files:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\disk.sys AND meanings
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\PartMgr.sys.
At the same time with the Version of the file 5.1.2600.5512 (xpsp080413-2108).

The 'Apple Mobile Devices USB Driver' and "USB Mass Storage Device" are the same as for the Ipod Classic.

I followed the procedure to remove Itunes and even the update to Itunes to V11.2.2 nothing works.

I am aware that the system is also that XP can now be updated.

So, why not not Windows Installer Ipod Classic and why the disk.sys driver does not appear

According to the details of the pilot?

Is the 7 G Ipod Classic not compatible with XP SP3?

Yes it is compatible with XP SP3.

  • Apple still sell reconditioned ipod classic? Thanks in advance...

My Ipod classic is on the exit door and keeps failing or wiping my songs and I know ive had a precedent in and was offered a refurbished for about £90... just wondering if anyone knows if they're offering this... Thank you!

I don't think they are stored more. Take a look at Re: corrupted iPod classic. Can be useful to check the stats on the refurbished unit before you buy it if you can. You can also find that you get more life out of the old.

  • need stop synchronization before finishing to avoid ipod classic remove

I've updated to itunes version 12.5.1, as well as Windows 10.  If I let my ipod classic finish syncing, everything on the ipod is removed.  So I have to restore the ipod in disk mode so that itunes recognizes the ipod and avoid itunes gel settings.  I found the only way to keep my music is to stop synchronization before it ends or the entire contents of the ipod is removed, and I'll have to go through the process of restoring ipod to factory settings again.  During synchronization, I disable the Windows 10 firewall and anti virus as Apple support told me that it could interfere with itunes.  What is - this with the finishing of sync that removes my ipod?

It's weird...  Hard drive it is possible to the iPod becomes unreliable and is damaged during the synchronization process.  What happens if you set it up to only synchronize a small number of songs, instead of "all"?  For example, on the settings screen of music from iPod in iTunes, rather than choose to synchronize the entire musical library, choose the option to synchronize playlists, artists, albums, and genres, and select only a SINGLE album.  These songs always get deleted at the end of synchronization?

  • Can I use the search feature to locate my ipod classic (stolen)?

My ipod classic (I have the serial number) that I bought in 2007, was stolen from my room, Marriott Seattle Waterfront.  Can I use find it my ipod have a this old?

N ° this feature works only with Apple iOS (iPhone, iPad and iPod touch) devices that have a direct connection to the Internet.

  • iPod Classic does not appear in iTunes

My macbook release 10.9.5. iTunes (version 12.1) does not recognize my iPod classic Model # MB147LL version 1.2.2PC. I tried to reboot, reset, update, but it will not recognize to sync the iPod. My computer recognizes the iPod but not iTunes.

The latest version of iTunes (12.5.1) should work on OS X 10.9.5.  Is there a reason that you are using an older version of iTunes.  A classic iPod should work with even older versions of iTunes, but there may be a problem with the specific version you have (fixed in a later version).

If update does not help (or if you don't want to update iTunes), given that the iPod is recognized by the system, it seems to have a data connection.  Try to put the iPod in Disk Mode.

How to put your iPod in disc - Apple Support mode

Before you connect iPod, stop (power off) MacBook and disconnect all the USB devices.  Plug the MacBook power adapter (so it does not work on battery).  Startup MacBook, launch iTunes and connect the iPod (in disc Mode) on a USB direct on MacBook, by himself.

If he picks up iTunes, it should invite you to do a restore with a message on the "recovery."  This erases the iPod, so if you're OK with that (because the content of the iPod is in your iTunes library), do the restore.  If all goes well, the iPod appears in iTunes (normally) after the restoration.

  • I called Amazon to try to recover the serial number of my old iPod classic two weeks ago, and they gave me a kind of account; They pronounce it account 'seen - It '.

I called Amazon to try to recover the serial number of my old iPod classic two weeks ago, and they gave me a kind of account; They pronounce it account 'seen - It '. I don't have to ask how, because I thought I knew, but I was wrong. Would what type of account be? And how it's spelled? The name of the account is a tiny s followed a 7-digit number. (Of course I will not type the numbers.)

I would go to a forum for Amazon, because they can be better equipped to answer a question on their system. If synchronize you the device with iTunes, the number can be there in the backup section.  Find the serial number of your Apple - Apple Support product
