Thanks for this info and choosing the communities Support from Apple. I know how important being able to see the content of several parties digestions in Mail is for you. Based on what you said, it seems that you may want to change the settings of the conversations on the view menu, activation of the conversations or disabling, or expand or collapse the conversation in the list of messages.

  • After saving the emails from windows live mail, why not open them on my computer as the file extension is wlmail.fol?

After saving the emails from windows live mail, why not open them on my computer as the file extension is wlmail.fol?

wlmail.fol is a tiny text giving the name of the folder. The exported messages will have filenames like 00D13E83 - 000025DF.eml. If you don't see all of the files like this, your export probably did not work properly.

For a successful export, follow these directions:

    1. Set Windows Live Mail to work offline before starting.
    2. Create a temporary folder on your desktop * to contain the exported messages.
    3. In the Export Wizard, select the temporary folder, and then select all the folders.* *
    4. When it is complete, check that the number of files in each folder to the temporary folder is one more than the number of messages in the corresponding folder of WLMail.
    5. Copy the temporary file to its final destination.
If you use a reader not NTFS to do this, you will see a warning that certain file properties will not be copied files. This can be ignored.

    * Windows Live Mail do not work with files that are not on a local drive, as opposed to an external or network drive. This is avoided by using the office as a temporary folder location.
    * If you want to export the files sampled only, select each of them containing messages. Subfolders are not automatically selected by default.

  • Apple Mail is not save drafts

I just spent two hours working on a response to an e-mail. I recorded it several times (with Apple Mail/save).

Apple Mail seemed to close unexpectedly (although it is possible that I accidentally closed it).

I opened it and looked for my email in DRAFTS. He wasn't there.

I also used Time Machine to watch. He wasn't there at all.

I then deliberately made a new message - and also a message 'response' - to see if they would save as drafts. They would not.

I have other drafts in my drafts of later on September 9.

    What is going on?

You checked the box according to the screenshot and they are saved on the server, to show in IMAP account uncheck.

    Thank you!

  • MAIL WILL NOT OPEN IN IE8

CHARGE OF IE8 RECENTLY AND WILL HAVE PROBLEMS WHEN YOU CLICK ON AN EMAIL ADDRESS ON A WEB PAGE.  WITH IE7, MY EMAIL (MS MAIL) WOULD OPEN A NEW EMAIL WITH THE ADDRESS IN THE ADDRESS BOX.  WITH IE8, I NOW GET A MESSAGE SAYING "UNABLE TO OPEN MAIL AS TOO RESOURCE IS USED OR COMPUTER IS UNSTABLE."  HAVE REBOOTED, CHECK ALL PREFERENCES AND DEFAULT VALUES.  I DON'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG.  WHY IT WILL NOT OPEN MY IE8 E-MAIL PROGRAM?  MODE MY SYSTEM IS VISTA.  Thank you.

Go to start / programs by default and click on set program access and computer by default.  Choose custom by double-clicking on it. Under e-mail programs, make sure that Microsoft Mail is selected and click OK. Reset.  Then see if that solves the problem.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Apple Mail will not show my mail messages

All of a sudden my iMac (27 inch, end 2012) Sierra running (OSX 10.12) does not display my IMAP messages in Mail.app.  Inbox window (for example) says "Inbox (0 messages filtered)", and other mailboxes are similar.  I guess the problem is the word 'filtered', but I didn't ask to filter anything.  If I search something in common, like '@', it shows all messages.

I upgraded to Sierra for a few days, it didn't happen immediately.  This does not happen on my MacBook Air or my office iMac, two Sierra also running.

I tried to rebuild the mailboxes, and also remove account IMAP and then add it back.  Seems to have helped.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Problem solved.  In another thread, I noticed that there is an element in the view menu "toggle the filter messages '.  I don't know how it happened 'active', or what filter it is talk, but disable Solver problem.

  • E-mail: is not open to minimize clicking the icon

    10.11.3 OSX

This only happens on a MacbookPro (works fine on many others).

Until recently, I could minimize the mail client (yellow button) and then restore the window by clicking on the Mail icon in the taskbar.

Now, by clicking on the icon does nothing. I need to find the icon of the window and click on that to get there (which is a pain).

As I said, this used to work on the MBP. It works on my other two Mbit/s (the two same OS version) and on several systems working, I tried).

    Any suggestions to fix this?

  • Vista, IE8, Windows Mail, can not open attachments

I've been running Vista SP1 with Windows Home Premium and Windows Mail without problems, including handling e-mail attachments.  For safety, I: McAfee Total Protection, Windows Firewall, Zone Alarm and Windows Defender.

I installed IE8 and liked the convenience features.   It worked well on my machine, but now I can't open e-mail attachments.  Security in Windows Mail by IE8 settings are maintained and are defined to allow attachments.  I uninstalled IE8 and the problem disappeared.  None of my security programs are scoring blocked attachments or otherwise.

Any suggestions on how to fix this so I can go back to IE8?

    John C in PA

I just got the phone with McAfee.  It seems that IE8 doesn't is NOT supported by McAfee in its current configuration that they still think IE8 beta.  I was informed that when the consumer final version McAfee support and my attachments e-mail won't be a problem.  Too bad at the moment, I liked IE8.
