Apple pro no keyboard no Volume or the eject button

Hello

I'm running OS X 10.5.8 on an EMac with the original Apple Pro Keyboard.

The OS X install is a fresh, as installation when I got the computer it was protected by locked.

No matter what I do, the eject button and the Volume buttons above the numeric keypad on my "Apple Pro Keyboard" do not work.

The volume buttons seem to work a bit in iTunes, if I press and hold the button for a very long time.

I tried the keyboard on my MacBook Pro, and it works very well.

I also tried a Kensington Slim Mac on the Emac and after keyboard through the wizard keyboard and unrecognized, which worked well as well (including the Media Eject keys and Volume).

I tried to do a reset of the PRAM on the Emac, but this doesn't seem to be a facility of this computer.

The EMac is a special eBay and only cost me $10 ;-), but it seems to work fine apart from this question.

Please help me solve this problem, because it drives me crazy.

Hello

Can try this to eject an icon at the top right of the screen...

On your main hard drive, dig in the System > Library > CoreServices > Menu Extras. Inside this window, double-click the icon called Eject.menu.

I found the solution to my problem of graphics. Wow, really?

So after the video driver updated, he set a maximum resolution on my HDMI output to 1600 x 900. That's if access you the resolution settings through the control panel > display > adjust resolution. Is not that how most people set the resolution?

The update of the driver has replaced the max resolution by default setting, but it can be given via Intel display control panel (no was not yet aware, I had such a control panel). This control panel option is available for the Intel graphics controller hardware. To set the resolution, right click on the desktop and select "graphics properties." Select 'Advanced Mode', and then configure the resolution 1920 x 1080. Once the parameter is committed through this control panel, the Windows 7 Control Panel settings to work as you would expect, and the monitor is the 1080 p display.

It is delayed. Pardon my French.

Well, at least now I'm back where I started, IE still has the problem with the eject button causing the dual display to flicker. It happened only twice since the update of the video driver, then perhaps that these events were flukes?

This means that the drivers are missing or that the disc is broken?

Its possible the drive has failed. Is this an internal or an external drive? In both cases, make sure that all cables are properly connected and functional, including the power cables. If its a USB external drive then try another USB port.

But, assuming that you tried to update the drivers (get the latest compatible drivers on the manufacturers for your brand/model/OS(32/64 bit) PC support site and install to see if that helps - first set a system restore point)) and then see if this MS article helps - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/cd_dvd_drive_problems?wa=wsignin1.0

On my HP Elitebook 2760p running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, left click on the touchpad button has stopped working.  The right click works, the works of pad, (scrolling and click on) it's just the left click.  It started after the execution of the new update of adobe. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver synaptec. I tried the mouse fast and slow speed. I tried pressing rigid, flexible, in different places. I would try to uninstall the update from Adobe, but it won't allow me.  So I uninstalled Adobe Reader and re-installed. Still nothing. Any suggestions?

    Hi Dawn Kelley,

Connect the laptop to the docking station.
Note: If you don't see the option 'Disconnect the computer', it is possible that your laptop is not configured correctly for mooring or you don't have the administrative permissions required to disconnect the laptop.

To detach the laptop computer, follow these steps:
    1. click on start, then click on "disconnect the computer. (Located next to the options for "Stop" and "Restart")
    2. wait for a message appears saying that you undock your laptop successfully.
Note: Some laptops will not give this message but rather will make a sound confirming that the cell phone has been disconnected.
    3. push the eject button on the docking station downwards until the cell is displayed.
    4. pull the laptop to the station, on the back first.

    Advice and WARNING:
Computers Dell laptops have the option "disconnect the computer. However, some laptops can have an option for "Eject the PC" in the start menu, instead of 'disconnect the computer.
It is extremely important to disconnect your laptop computer in the start menu before you eject from the docking station.
Ejection for a laptop computer to the station before being released on the start menu may cause data loss.
It can also cause damage to your laptop or other devices connected to the docking station.
Read the manual of the manufacturer for detailed instructions and equipment for your specific laptop.

NOTE: If the laptop is not connected to the docking station, and then the pc disconnect button is not available on the start menu.

    Hope this information is useful.
Let me know if it worked.
    All the best!

  • Is it safe to use keyboard if I put the microfibre cloth on top of the keypad cover when I close the mac? (mac pro retina display)

    Hi all.

I use Kuzy keyboard cover on my mac pro retina display.

I read that Apple does not recommend to use the keypad cover when you close the mac of retina display.

So I wonder if it would be dangerous to use key cover if I put the microfibre cloth on top of the keypad cover when I close the mac?

In this way, would the retina display not scratched by a keyboard cover?

Please share an idea about it, thank you.

It is not only the possibility of a scratch, but also that the MacBook Pro retina are very thin. Adding a keyboard cover and a cloth could lead to damage and it closes does not correctly. I have personally not use either on my rMBP.

To activate the thin design of MacBook Pro with computers of Retina display, the distance between the screen and the top box is designed to close tolerances. Do not use palm rest covers or covers of CAP, because the extra thickness can interfere with the closing designed screen position.

  • iPad Pro keyboard on-screen despite the use of Create from Logitech

I was quick to connect a Logitech Keyboard create my iPad Pro once I had two in hand. Create keyboard worked according to expectations.

However, recently I noticed that when I have one using various applications the iPad Pro on-screen keyboard blocking half of the screen, even if I type with Create. When I clear the on screen Keyboard Pro I am not able to type with create up to the on-screen keyboard is restored.

Y at - it a known workaround to this distraction? Only, I arrived at Rome and absent an office environment have not noted the applications associated with this problem, but it includes at least Safari but not Chrome.

I also have this problem with the iPad Pro. When you use the Smart case Apple keyboard the on-screen keyboard appears.

I remember long ago when I had the iPad second and attached to a bluetooth keyboard, the keyboard on the screen went. It may be a bug that will be fixed in the next update of the operating system.
