• Problem with USB auto connect with clients that connect through the Security server...

  Lack of VMware View 5.0.1 with 2 servers connection and a security server. When the clients connect directly to the server connection, USB connection works very well... users can use their USB drives and other devices with their VM. The problem occurs when they attempt to use their USB devices when negotiated through the Security server.

  I know that port 32111 (TCP) must be open between the server security and the connection to the server, but even after doing so it does not always work... customers just to get the scrolling message of office in the USB menu initialization.

  This is not what it takes. The agent is listening on the port 32111, you must open the firewall to allow connections to the Security server for the desktop on port 32111 (same thing you must allow RDP and PCoIP).

  I have searched all over the web for this, and I can't find information that applies to my case. I have an Oracle 11 g DB on a Windows Server 2003 SP2 installer and installing the heterogeneous services ODBC driver. I want to connect it to a different Windows 2003 SP2 machine running MySQL Community.
  
  On the side of the Oracle, I set up the systems to MySQL ODBC connection, and it connects successfully. I also configured tnsnames.ora as follows:

  The syntax error is caused by your database MySQL does not not in ANSI mode. By default, DG4ODBC sends a code compliant ansi in the foreign database, which means for column sensitive to case and table names it surrounded by double-quotes. MySQL DB not working not in mode compatible ANSI rejects them and uses a back tick to preserve the case - so it reports a syntax error in the case of double qoutes.

• Client VPN connectivity problems

  I use the cisco VPN client to connect to our network, located behind a 515E. The client is authenticated and gets an ip address but cannot ping or connect with one of the hosts. The connection is to a network of customers that is also behind a 515E. I have successfully connected using the same policy to other places and have had no problem. What confuses me, is that we have used to have a Netscreen firewall before and he had a netscreen vpn client which connected since their network with a problem. Is that something they need for their firewall so that we can get through the traffic?

• Application and transport layer connection problems

  I'm running a redundant configuration: PIX 515E 6.3 (1). I have the following problems to servers on the Internet but only from certain sites.

  FTP - finishes negotiating 3 lanes and the 4th package which is used at the login prompt takes about 90 seconds to appear. Once the login prompt appears, FTP is normal speed.

  HTTP - this happens on every 1 to 4 hours. SYN and SYN, ACK is going very well. The client who must send the receipt to complete negotiation 3 way sends a RST instead.

  SSH - 3 - way handshake is fine, keys exchanged, but the guest of home directory takes 90 to 180 seconds is displayed after a successful login. If the password is incorrect, the session will end in a normal time.

  I tested a system in front of the firewall and all scenrios work very well. I also tested the two firewalls, one at a time to exclude a hardware problem on a single PIX.

  I've noticed these problems that occur with great frequency, the next day I upgraded to a key 3DES/AES key. Anyone seen this before? Should I possibly ask another key? I've seen these problems to less frequent even before I upgraded the key, so I don't know that that's the problem.

  It could be the reverse dns problems - ssh is notorious for taking forever to connect when the ssh server can't do a reverse dns lookup of the host that you connect with.

  Basically, if 'nslookup your.client.ip.here' does not return a hostname, it is most likely the problem

  I have a vCenter Server that manages a few hosts. I know it's a bad habit to manage guests individually using vSphere Client, but I was wondering if I can have multiple connections to the same server vCenter Server vSphere client using the same Windows credentials?

  Demand got far enough to make the listener to complain, then all the problems underlying network... firewall ports, routing, etc., are very good.

  I'm having a problem when I use a Select statement works on Oracle 10 g, but does not work on 11g.

  The problem might be related to conversions of data types, but if you post a little taste DDL + INSERTS + QUERY / QUERY WITH and results to show an accurate and "reproducible" error there is nothing we can do to help you.

  I'd be willing to bet that it's a data model.

• Client cannot connect to the ESX Server

  I have 3 Server ESX 3.5 update 2. I can't connect to them using the VI client and I can not navigate to the IP Address of the server. I can telnet to the port 902 and 903 but not 443.

  The guests are working well.

  When I use the VI client I get customer VI could not establish the initial connection with the server. Details: a connection failure has occurred.

  Could someone tell me what command should I enter to start the service 443 or anything else, I need to check?

  Hi, we have a linux db server, and oracle (dba and oinstall group) user can connect / as sysdba without giving any password.
  I created the orapwd file and changed REMOTE_LOGIN_PASSWORDFILE = exclusive in the init.ora file but still, if anyone is in the dba group, it can connect without providing a password.
  Can you please tell me how can I succeed to all users of OS that arises for the password, even if they belong to the dba group?

  The behavior you describe is normal and experted. By default members of the Oracle Home directory structure owner group can connect as sysdba and can avoid the need to use a valid password from sysdba users actually connect as user sys.

  If you do not want to allow this then must have installed Oracle with one group other than oinstall DBA and then not assigned any OS users to this group.
