Application Manager now opens Cloud connection

I have CS6 installed (no clouds) on Windows 7 PC. I receive occasional update messages and open the application manager to access these updates. Now, I got an update message, but when I run the App Mgr it opens a connection to creative cloud. Surely, I am not suppose to get updates from the cloud, right? Can someone tell me what is happening?

Hi JVS97,

You can download and install updates of Creative Cloud Desktop Apps as it will download and install the updates for the software perpetual too with Cloud applications.

Kind regards

Abhijit

  • Problems with the update of Adobe Application Manager to creative cloud

I'm on a macbook pro, Snow Leopard 10.6.8
I have a plan for photoshop CC and it works perfectly (I pay a monthly price for it and it is all ok).

I'd really like the ability to use Creative Cloud sync, in order to have the same settings, when I switch from pc to mac (I use both extensively).

At the moment I have Adobe Application Manager installed on my macbook pro.

Adobe Application Manager is not up-to-date on its own.

If I try to download creative cloud and install it, it opens Adobe Application Manager and stop there. Does not install creative cloud.

I also tried to uninstall MAO, but it seems that I couldn't, so I used the Adobe cleaning tool and I eliminate AAM. Then I downloaded the installer of creative cloud again and I tried to install it, but it installed Adobe Application Manager instead!

    Help!

    Hi Lorenzo,.

For Mac OS Snow leopard Desktop Application 10.6.8 creative Cloud is not compatible. It is compatible with Mac 10.7 and later.

10.6.8 works with Adobe Application Manager only. This is the reason why, regardless of how many times you try to install creative cloud, it will install Adobe Application manager.

  • 'old' application manager and creative cloud at the same time?

    Hello

After the upgrade to creative cloud I now have two symbols as menu icons. The old icon of handler application (with the software Adobe A symbol) and the creation of clouds symbol. Is it true that both of these tools are still running? Should not the old version of the application manager replaced by creative cloud?

If so, could you please advice how I can remove the application manager?

    Thank you.

You can ignore it, because this isn't the Application Adobe handler, is the Applciation from Adobe updates, which most likely tell you, updates on Adobe Air, Flash, Reader and other software you use.

    Hello Richard,.

in this case I download a trial version really new to your program (s) in question and change / them later in a 'real' version, BUT because you said, you "re-" already installed, then it becomes a little complicated. It would be necessary that you need to use «Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool»

Here's a tip for that (the order varies according to your individual needs. Please read first, all my proposals so you can better choose the first step :)

    1. maybe you will need to toggle, so please take a look here:

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html

    2. sometimes we know in the meantime, the "opm.db" file is the culprit. In this case, you must remove it.

3 have you ever try to "uninstall and re - install '? Be careful with the aso facility (de). by (de) installation of your own resources. As much as I regret and I'm afraid as strange as it may seem, it is a challenge for Creative Adobe cloud cleaning tool. Sometimes - for some reason-CC "unwilling" work. In this case you should CC completely remove and reinstall by using Adobe Creative cloud cleaning tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

I quote: Adobe Creative Suite cleanup tool allows to solve the problems of installing Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite (CS3 - CS6) applications. The tool removes the records facility for preliminary facilities of Cloud applications or Creative Suite creative. It does not affect existing installations of earlier versions of Creative Suite or creative Cloud applications.

Please use: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html and follow the prescribed sequence of operations

    A new help file would be the following: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-app-doesn ' t - open.html

Now, I closed "Adobe Application Manager" and reopened "Photoshop" and again selected "updates... " on the Help menu.  The "Adobe Application Manager" opened again with just a window this time and the updates happened correctly.

I was hoping a updates would be the "Adobe Application Manager", I don't think so.

So, if I were you I would not select "Updates."... "in an Adobe application unless the " Adobe Application Manager " is closed until they fix IT...

  • Not connected Secure Application Manager

    Hi all

I use Acer Aspire 4937 Windows Vista and when I load the Secure Application Manager it does not connect. I'm running under administrator and have disabled all my firewall. The icon is white instead of blue shooting.

I read a response from forum suggested running in "safe mode with network" and the truly connected secure application manager! But now how do I get it connected in "normal" mode.

    Pls help. Thank you

    leecw

    Hello leecw,

If your application is connected correctly in safe mode, this means that there is a conflict with other software or programs.

To determine which program is causing a conflict with the program in question, we recommend that you perform a "clean boot" of the computer. A clean boot is designed to disable programs and services in the background as much as possible. This helps determine which service or program can be the cause of the problem.

For more information about how to perform a clean boot for troubleshooting, click the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

  • Adobe Application Manager is no longer up-to-date CS6 Production Premium

    Hello

I have a perpetual license CS6 Production Premium for mac. I had problems with OSX El Capitan, so I returned to Yosemite 10.10.5 and I did a clean install.

After I reinstalled CS6 Production Premium I run Adobe Application Manager to update the applications to newer versions.

But rather as a first thing Adobe Application Manager update itself and by updating other applications, the installation program got stuck, and I had to restart my mac.

Now: Adobe Application Manager became suddenly the creative cloud (seriously?), and rather than offer me to update the applications it offers upgrade me to CC - something that I hate and I would never do. I don't give myself no options to update to the current version of CS6, but only "update all my cc applications.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Dario

p.s. I won't go into detail about how I feel any CC, because I know that it has already been discussed to death. But I am disgusted now I am obliged to have this application creative cloud on my mac, which I find very invasive and completely unrelated to the original CS6 license I bought. I have to use the tools of the business that I hate right now (but I used to love), I think it's very sad.

    Here's what I did:

When you try to update, creative application Cloud opens instead of Adobe Application Manager. For this reason he detected no any update, unless I'm subscribed to CC (which of course I don't want). Apparently creative cloud and the old Adobe Application Manager coexist on your mac, but the default application is now creative cloud, so I got rid of the creative cloud and in doing so, I was able to access the former manager of Application and to update CS6 to the latest available version.

    1. Try to uninstall creative cloud using the creative cloud uninstall app in your application. If uninstall does not work because it says it is necessary to CC (even if you have CC) then proceed to step 2.
    2. Download Creative cloud cleanser here and open it.
    3. Select creative cloud and then "sanitation of selected" (uninstall will does not work). This will remove creative cloud.
    4. Open an application of CS6 (e.g. Photoshop) > help > updates...
    5. This will finally open the former Application Manager, and it will be possible to update the software again.
