Appointment of blackBerry Smartphones receipt in Outlook

When my husband sent an appointment to add to my calendar, rather than receive an invitation I accept, I get this instead (e-mail addresses published for the post). No idea what is the problem?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones go from Outlook Express to Outlook on my Blackberry Curve8300

One other person set up my new Blackberry for me while I was out of town and they put up with Outlook Express.  I intended to put up with the regular Outlook program.  Can someone tell me how to?

After digging around, I have myself solved by turning off the auto syncronize that allowed me to enter in the configuration box and select Microsoft Outlook instead of Outlook Express.

I have reset the BB by removing the battery.  I restarted my computer.   Don't know what to do next.

Didn't know where to find the "Solved" icon, but:

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Newbie question Outlook synchronization...

I know, I know you crackberry Masters must make fun of my basic question, but it drives me crazy.

I want to curve. I'll use it for personal and business email accounts. Work email is through MS Exchange. I can access my email using Microsoft Outlook Web Access. Our server does not have this fancy/expensive Blackberry Enterprise Software Solution.

Can I still sync my email to my Blackberry Wireless and untethered work? What are the downsides to not have the fancy software / expensive?

You'll be always my friend, if you can answer this fundamental question in simple terms.

    Hi anrobb!

You will be able to receive your email wireless without the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution (BES). You can use the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) to deliver your email. There are two ways this can be accomplished:

1-direct integration of your account Outlook Web Access (OWA). Here, you must create an BIS account and enter your information to OWA, such as the web address of the OWA server, your email address, mailbox name and password. BIS will use this information to analyze your mailbox for new messages at a time interval determined (basically every 15 minutes) and send it to all new mail he sees to your BlackBerry.

    2. create a hosted mailbox and set up a redirection rule. Most (if not all) carriers offer only a free hosted BlackBerry e-mail address when you have a BlackBerry plan. For example, a customer of Verizon could create an email [email protected]. E-mail messages that are sent to these hosted email addresses are pushed to the device, so they come almost in real time. Once you have set up, hosted email address you (or your IT staff) define a redirection rule in your mail server to forward a copy of all new messages to the hosted e-mail address. The next step would be to connect to your BIS account and modify the reply-to field to be your professional email address. This it will bring up that the emails sent from your BlackBerry come from your work email.

A difference in the use of the use of BIS on BES is that you cannot synchronize wireless your address book, calendar, notes and them tasks with BIS - you will need to connect to a computer. BES offers many other features as well, but I won't get it here.

    See you soon!

  • BlackBerry smartphone synchronization with Outlook calendar and remember more than 200...

Since obtaining my Curve 8310 and synchronization with outlook calendar, whenever I re - synchronize my handheld device remembered only about 200 of my events 1000 + and offers to remove 800 + events to my outlook on the pc.

I don't want to lose these data to both portable and pc. So I always click on the option "re-sync" so that I have (re) - effectively transfer the info from my pc to the handheld every time, so don't not the deletion of valuable data from my pc.

It seems a bit ineffective design and more unlike blackberry. That's why I missed something somewhere, I'm sure...

Can someone tell me where I'm likely to go wrong? I would be very grateful...

PS. I recently upgraded to version 4.5 OS and synchronized with enthusiasm to see if it was a question... He seemed to remember data for day 1. But now I have to synchronize again today. Back to his old "do you want to remove any tips?'..."

Hi and welcome to the forums,

You have your configuration only transfer again?

Located in taper to transfer the date range, I usually put 365 on both sides

before that date and after this date.

    Thank you

  • Slow blackBerry smartphones to synchronize Outlook 2007 <>- DM 4.6

My clocks are running 4 minutes even if no records have been changed.

    BlackBerry 9000 4.6.0.167

    DM 4.6

    Win XP

    Outlook 2007, 2000 contacts

Synchronization is displayed to review all records in the contacts of the device twice ('reading', and then 'transformation'), even if no changes have been made.

I just spent an hour by inserting in the escalation process to get an answer to the question of the slow sync.

Function of Blackberry technical support, starting with DM 4.3 consistency checking occurs much more on each synchronization.  Each record is checked once again, even the records without modification.  Then your synchronization time depend on the size of your database, not the number of recent changes.  Apparently the Blackberry is aspiring to the levels of corruption much lower than its competitors.

So get used to slow the synchronizations.  A good chance of the brush upwards on your Spanish or read this book self-help.

  • Sync blackBerry Smartphone Email - MS Outlook 2003

BB Curve 8900 with two email addresses.  The two addresses seem to have been properly introduced when configuring synchronization... which is, they both appear on the device and the two send/receive messages.  The reception section is selective, however.  A group of six emails received during the night from the same source, two only arrived on the device (all six arrived on the PC).

    Thoughts?

-Outlook takes care to leave a copy of messages on the mail server as per:http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB12283

If not; set up and watching him work.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones receipt emails

I use my Storm for domestic use, with Outlook 2007 as my email provider.  If I have Outlook open on my desktop and receive an email, it will be also received by my Blackberry, even if I do not open emails on my laptop, if Outlook is not open, I always receive emails on my laptop and Blackberry.  What should I do to receive e-mails on my laptop and Blackberry still even though I have either Outlook open on my laptop or open e-mails it first?

It is a setting on Outlook .

In Outlook, go to tools > account settings.  Select your mail account and double-click it to open the settings.  On the lower right part of the window, click additional settings.  Go to the Advanced tab and check the option leave a copy of messages on the server, and then select this option to delete the server after? days.  Set the number of days to 1 if you do not want to leave them in their for a long time.  Click OK to confirm and close the window.

That's all!   And with this, you will be completely in market!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Slow sync/outlook appts missing

I have a BB Pearl 8120, sync desktop manager 4.7 with Outlook 2003 on XP laptop via the USB port.  I'm syncing addresses, notes, tasks and calendar.  I have two questions:

    (1) it takes a very long time to synchronize.  He said I have something like 13 k entries.  I'm new on BB... used a Palm PDA and synchronization was performed in only a fraction of the time that it takes for the BB (it takes between 15-60 min to synchronize on BB... the same calendar on Palm took 1-2 min).  There any other app that I can use to synchronize or is there some tricks to speed up synchronization?

    (2) I started missing a lot of calendar items on my Outlook... it was missing most of the 2008 and some of 2007.  Today, I found the appointment in the folder of file deleted from Outlook.  As far as I know, when I do a synchronization, it moves appts. in Outlook, in the folder deleted.  Is this normal?  How can I stop doing that?  I looked in some areas to see if I can find a switch to turn on turn off, but finding nothing that looks like it is the culprit in the office s/w or outlook.  I did the whole office to synchronize only a certain number of days before and after today... I reset that to synchronize all.  I'm nervous to synchronize now, I don't want to have outlook trashed again.  Any ideas?

I think I found the answer to both problems... I have another problem I'll post separately.

The issue of the speed is greatly improved by iconizing Office of BB (thanks to another poster who posted this tip).

I also found another post I think that fixed dropping out of outlook appointment - he changed the flag on the device under options. actions; and change to keep appointments forever.  Since to change that and change outlook synchronization to transfer all items, I saw not all items fall off.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Symcing ensures Outlook

I use my calendar for historical reference and just noticed that when I come home the day before in my blackberry and sync data - it is not sync with my outlook.  I really need to be able to do.

    Hello and welcome,

You are synchrozing with the Desktop Manager?  By default, only sync Manager of office with all future articles, but you can certainly change the settings.  In your Office Manager, click Synchronize > select synchronization on the left and then click right synchronization > schedule matches > installation > following, following, and now you can see the date range of calendar.

    Hope this helps

  • Evil blackBerry smartphones set up outlook

I just bought a blackberry 8330.  I have tried sync my bb with outlook upward. Ok installed Desktop Manager and I have the 2007 version of outlook, but when I went to set up Desktop Manager and add my calendar, my computer couldn't find Outlook as one of the configuration options.  He finds one couple of other things under the calendar but not outlook.  I tried to reinstall microsoft office 2007 with outlook and I tried to set it up again and it still does not find outlook.  According to the procedure I found online, Desktop Manager should automatically find outlook, what is not on my computer. Ideas for what could be wrong? Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi and welcome to the forums!

You have the same email on Blackberry and on the PC, both are by default?

On the BB, see options by default/options/advanced services. Make sure that the other stuff and CICAL associated

with your primary e-mail address. Go to Outlook, tools, e-mail accounts and check there.

If you find a mismatch, try configuring again. If you do not check your MAPI interface as

    listed in the attached link.

Let us know how it goes!

    Thank you

that should show you how to set your filters to not forward e-mail to your own address, to your device.
