I'm looking for a software that will speed up the startup time and when I use the computer for a while, it is slow going on the Web site? do I need a registry cleaner? Please notify. I have two computers with xp and vista.

The only thing that's really going to "speed up" your computer is a faster processor, more ram and a faster internet connection.  Everything else is really a waste of money (IMHO)

is there a way to accentuate or to speed up the startup time of this phone actually? an update of the upcoming firmware that will solve?

I never said anything about music and files on the press card.

I only said that the more 3rd party applications installed longer it takes to start up.  It's just the way of java is.  The device must read each of these java .cod files when it starts up.  The more therre are to read, the longer it takes.  If youre device takes several minutes to start, then everything is normal.  It's just the way it is.

  • Why my laptop startup time is smaller when is on battery?

When my laptop is plugged in it have a 45-55 s boot, and what is on battery it has a 30-35 start sec., why?

I have the startup speed of 20 seconds if I disable windows defender :)

    Hi Cristi,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft community forum!

When the laptop is plugged in, it checks if the optimum voltage of the battery and that takes about 15 to 20 seconds. And also the startup time depends on the number of applications installed on the computer.

  • Norton Antivirus slows down startup time in Windows Vista

    Hello

need help please, I am led to madness by starting slow time of my laptop.
I he had only a few weeks and don't use it for anything beyond to produce documents word etc.

It has been gradually slower on boot and I suspect it has something to do with the protection of Norton antivirus on it software and updates for norton I downloaded (thinking that it was the right thing to do).

Looking at the log for problems and solutions on the computer, the date on which he began really to slow coincides with downloading an update to norton, which I could not uninstall to check if that's really the problem.

In addition, I tried to do a system restore, my laptop could not complete.
I'm stuck on the screen of the BACK for 10 minutes with the message:
PXE - E32 TFTP open timeout

I have no idea what it means, but the newspaper issues and Solutions said something about a blocking of the system?

I looked on the web for other virus protection software and they all seem to have a problem or slow computers and another down to the start.

Did someone knows a solution or should I just make a cup of tea when I turn on my computer and lace with vodka until it is fully charged to the top!

I am a novice when it comes to using computers so would like to receive technical advice.

    Hi guys

I would like to add a few words about my experience using the Symantec Norton Antivirus software.
I used this software long 3 years. It was great because it supports one of the best options for filtering viruses, BUT it really slow downs the operating system.
I didn t use on preinstalled Vista laptop but on Win XP and I must say that the laptop boot process was stopped about 30 sec - 1 min until the entire parts of Norton Antivirus software has started, it is very annoying

However, I went to AntiVir. It is described by marina4000 software and I really happy because the startup performance of m.

So finally, I also recommend delete this Symantec Norton Antivirus software and switch to other free AntiVir software ;)

  • Vista Home Premium: Startup time and office flaws often requiring the log off / log on to Correct

At all to being able to help solve these problems successfully:

When I bought my office, it came preloaded with Win XP (a FANATASTIC/s o!) with an installation disc free for Vista Home Premium. I have installed Vista until recently due to support XP being more available.

Problems currently on a regular basis (every reboot) are:

    (1) long startup (sometimes nearly 10 minutes)

    (2) the "Blacktop" (AERO) Vista appears generally "gray" (like Win Classic) but with VERY little
Services (icons missing, unable to run diagnostic programs, etc.).

In this situation, I usually 'Log Off' and 'Connect' again and it fixes the problem-"bitumen".
is back with the functions of the al. Despite this, I'll restart desktop using Services.msc. for all the functions

    are available.

    System information:

    (A) AMD 64 Athlon 3500 + (2.20 GHz)
    (B) 3.00 GB RAM
    (C) Vista 32 Bit (SP1 and SP2 installed (all updates current)
    (D) ATI Radeon XPress 200 Series (current driver)
    (E) all drivers are current (no changes required)
    (F) update BIOS (not not required)

    Note:

    (1) I am the user ONLY if the 'Default' options are regularly 'Log In' (as admin) - no guest accounts, etc.

    (2) I reduced some Desktop effects, which are not necessary (Menu Fade in and out, etc.) according to

instructions of MSFT community on how to do this and what is safe to disable. This helped a little
and I don't miss these features.

    (2) I deleted the "Windows.old" folder (as there was nothing to add to the Vista o/s).

    (3) I have NOT deleted the Partition which was part of the Win XP System Restore feature as)
"I don't know if I should as well as to think that I should keep this system offline and running XP).

    (4) I use a security program that securely wipes deleted data, cache password, etc..
Under Win XP, there was the possibility of "Protect Restore Points" (not required for Vista).
I do NOT use the option "delete shadow copies".

    My questions are:

    (A) what is the cause of the boot extended both office and how to tackle it successfully?

    (B) what is the problem with the desktop computer? I don't mind the Log in and out a lot but would like to get rid
me of this disadvantage.  I would like TO have the Vista boot WITHOUT having to Log in and out to

ensure that the AERO desktop is available and functional.

    (C) should I delete the files and restore Partition in Win XP? Is this the cause may be a conflict with
Vista? Also, please let know us if you think it would be better to keep these files available if no
    conflicts are possible or probable.

    (D) what is the path, the file name or folder (path if necessary) which governs the entire desktop
(startup, appearance, services, etc.). so I can enter my security software to exclude it from
    be affected?

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

YES! Successfully, you CAN install and run this scanner on Vista with the EPSON Twain 5.53 driver without twisting your registry, etc.

    Steps to follow:

    2) extract to the folder (default location or a location of choice) and open the folder

    (3) right click on the "Setup.exe" file, go to properties and set the compatibility to Win XP SP-2

    (4) run the configuration file and wait for Windows Vista to give up the search on the web, ignore the 'warning' when he

comes to the top and connect the scanner to complete installation as you did under Win XP (or earlier versions)

NOTE: You will have to wait a long TIME for the next window appears once complete Vista

  • startup time

I have maybe one or two programs that start when windows starts, however, every time that I reboot or restart my laptop it gets completely to the point where you enter your password (it takes forever to get to this point as well), but after entering the password the screen goes blue black or dark , and it takes another life for my desktop to appear. 1 but before the Office always appears on the black white screen my mouse cursor appears, it takes forever, the mouse cursor disappears, then the useless windows aero circle always appears on the black screen, then after five minutes, I finally see my office. Can someone please help me understand this issue and to help me solve it? My operating system is windows vista Home premium 32-bit, (not windows 7) it's a Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5900 with an AMD Athlonx2 64 processor. Thanks a LOT for a solution or anyones advice on how to solve this problem.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • How to reduce the startup time of timesten

    Hi guys

We run TT on a PC server and 50G TimesTen data located in a warehouse (NOT of SSD). Every time we start the TimesTen, it costs about 30 minutes, which is a little longer than we expected.

I put RecoveryThreads = 8 to speed up the process of rebuilding indexes, but the process of reading and writing of files check point looks as the main costs of 30 minutes.

Could you tell how to speed up the reading and writing of files of control point to reduce the boot time? Also could you explain why TimesTen need to write checkpoint files at startup.  I can easily understand reading the memory checkpoint files (loading data in memory), after loading why TT wirte to checkpoint files?

    Concerning

    Li

The ttmesg.log will include messages on the number of bytes in a file of control point were read in a certain amount of time, so it is easy to calculate what your reading I/O rate. If you get poor read rates (and therefore take longer to start than desired) TimesTen is embarrassed by this rather than anything that can be tuned in the database. Your speed is about 50GB / 1800 seconds, which is about 30 MB per second. You may want to consider if the I/O reading rate anticipated for your hardware, or if it says improvements are possible. If you are able to locate your files of control point on the SSD or flash, then it is likely to be faster anyway, and then you can take advantage of the parallel control point reads at startup (see the Docs and Note1987463.1 for more details). Readings of parallel to the starting control point are unlikely to help and can actually hinder readings of classical records of spinning.

TimesTen performs a control point at the end of recovery for logs of transaction that he hasn't needed to purge and bring it to a full consistency. The checkpoint also wrote the DB header, which I think has updated during the process of recovery of fields. There may be other reasons for this, but it was always part of the architecture and recovery process.

You could also look at how you close the base database or instance. If you ttDaemonAdmin - stop when there are active connections to the database, you could force the database to be invalidated and therefore much more must be done when you start the instance / reload the database. Note 740819.1 is quite useful to the topic of why you should always try to stop a database free of charge, in order to minimize the time to reboot.

    Good morning Sir,

You have improved your environment recently? or can you let me know you use RDMs in your environment? You presented RDM to your environment recently?

If so, you should make sure that the associated LUN got the reserved flag set to false Perrenially-

    Already updated hosts ESXi 5.1/5.5

To mark LUNS MSCS as perpetually booked on a 5.1/5.5 ESXi host already set to level, set the flag perpetually booked in profiles of the host. For more information, see the vSphere Checklist installation of MSCS in the Documentation centre of vSphere:

Guide to management of vSphere resources 5.1

    5.5 vSphere resources management guide

Guest accommodation with RDM LUNs MSCS nodes, use the esxcli command to mark the also perpetually reserved device

esxcli storage core device setconfig -d naa.id --perennially-reserved=true

Note: stateless auto deploy wipes all settings at the beginning is not possible to define the perpetually reserved indicator, which leads to a big delay in the start-up. However, this command esxcli can be incorporated into a local startup script.

esxcli peripheral basic storage setconfig d naa.id - perpetually reserved = true

To check that the unit is perpetually booked, run this command:

esxcli storage core device list -d naa.id

This will be performed on all the LUNS with an association of RDM on all hosts.

I have a Qosmio F60 - 11F and I install Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, when starting my computer laptop take a long time to get on the desktop and over time increase the problem.

    Hey,.

    > Once I format my laptop with Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit (SP1) with all the drivers only.
That means with all the drivers only?

Qosmio F60 was delivered with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, if you have installed Windows 7 Ultimate from a normal disk of Microsoft. If you do this, you must install all drivers and step by step tool yourself because Windows 7 is doesn t contain all the drivers.

So have you installed all the drivers for the Toshiba driver download page?

In addition, you should test it with the factory settings. On Toshiba Recovery disk, you find an image pre-tested with all drivers and tools. If you use this disk everything will work correctly.

NOW just after four little coloured windows, I get about 20 second round circle/wait cursor and the words please wait. What could of done system restore the startup procedure which is now causing a delay which did not previously exist?

uninstalled Rapidboot, everything is back to normal.

Now trying to get my T430 to faster start my T420s
