Arrangement of windows bug

Hello.

I use Adobe flash CS3 on a 15 "display at a resolution of 800 x 600.

I moved my window property inspector to the lowest position on the screen - middle, low center - and found that I couldn't get it back. The closest I can get to the property inspector window now is the two-way arrow for resizing. Despite clicking on it, the window refuses to answer the two-way arrow (its coastline in). Everything else works fine.

I tried reopen Flash, but flash memory where are stored the windows. It makes no difference if you open different project files. I tried using the menu and the shortcut key to switch from the Properties window on / off power, without success. I tried to change the resolution of the screen at a higher resolution, but the arrangement window Flash relative is not objective. I think my only alternative is to reinstall the flash.

If you know anything else I can do, thanks for posting. I find it extremely frustrating.

Yours Sincerely,
Christopher Jenyns, b. a.

Ok. Disaster averted! Problem solved.

I found that if you choose "Window-> Workspace-> only default icons", window snaps back on this fault and everything is ok.

Talk about frustrating.

  • apparent spread of permissions / legacy - windows Bug problem

IM using XP MCE and it is the series of events that will make a beginning user who uses to get frustrated because simple file sharing. I am writing here because fresh MS of money and doesn't promise to repay if its their fault. If they read it here so someone can go and fix it.

create a folder on a removable disk to NTFS structure. on the computer #1
take it to another computer #2 and plug part in the folder at the base of your folder structure.
Browse the directory shared computer #3. you will have permissions issues trying to access subfolders.

You can't see this problem often. but I replaced my main computer (#1, win2k) during one second (#2, XPmce) and then I tried to access the share on my laptop (#3, XP) and I'm in trouble. computer #2 is not propagate permissions. and it doesn't seem that 'old' owner of the files is the problem. separate and resharing does not work.

disable file sharing simple, then selecing all subfolders (only) and the owner allows display to a level more in but no access... given that the subfolders (1) and (2) the files [and probably as well folders] inside those - all do not inherit reset and nothing more inherits 'everyone '.

the next step is to do a blind search and download all your files and folders to come in the search, sort by name, select the folders, set them to inherit, then select the files and put them to inherit. However, due to the popular archives you might have some difficulties to do - you will need to disable the first if you have items from archives showing - which prevents the development of authorities of the properties. If the archives are still show amoungst the files after you turn off, then you will need find again all files of less than 100 KB and the foldes will show with less archival.

as the owner [was] a code: S-1-5-21-11... I use SP2, but make sure it has not been fixed already, I googled "propagate permissions fix" and nothing turned up.

I hope that this issue is resolved soon, but I've always felt a barrier to inform microsoft of their bugs (and suggestions). I hope this works.

I have also seen files created by programs not inheriting so... an example is found here:
    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en/itprovistasecurity/thread/aaca354b-6bf5-4273-b77b-51e0234de7c1

Maybe this bug has not been seen by microsoft:(oh bien.) Then, I wrote this to help people and stop their frustration, even if the fix is almost equally frustrating.

    HC.

    HC,

Ok. Here's what's happening. When the files have been created on the computer #1, they probably belonged to the user who created them. Note that I mean by 'user', the SID of the user or the number of S-1-5-21-11 [...] you quote - this is a unique identifier for this user on this computer. When the disk has been moved to computer #2, this user did not exist on the computer, and so the only access to the files is no matter what permissions have been granted to general users on these files. Whenever someone tries to access these files by connecting over the network to the computer #2, they will always authenticate as user 'Guest' (if Simple file sharing is enabled) or as any user computer #2 they authenticate (if Simple file sharing is disabled and not a computer in the domain).

So, it seems that you want to give "Everyone" access these files on this external drive which is mounted to #2 computer network. Turning to the bottom line... I'm a fan of control in command line. The 'cacls' command will do what you want with a single command. So, assuming that this external drive goes up on computer #2 in the E: drive, perform the following steps:

    1. Connect to the computer as an administrator user #2
    2. Open a command prompt window (start-> Run-> "cmd")
    3. Enter the following command in the command prompt window:
      CACLS E:\/t/e/c/g everyone: F

This will give "Everyone" permissions Total (: F) everything in the E: drive (the/t option will include all subdirectories). If you want only to give everyone read-only permission, simply replace the: F with: R
For more information about the CACLS command:

Alternatively, you can take ownership of these files and folders on the computer #2, and then assign permissions that you need:

  • Unable to change "Auto arrange" in Windows 7 is unacceptable

Well, here are my comments on Windows 7.
I bought a new netbook from Asus with Windows 7 to use on the business travel and more precisely selected the version of Windows 7 on the old familiar XP ((that I liked for years on my PC Toshiba) and now I'm kicking myself.

As I take a lot of pictures on these trips, such as personal folders, I decided that the failure "by" design of the ability to rearrange folders and files ("thumbnails") in Windows 7 is all FACT UNACCEPTABLE. It's such a serious shortcoming that I will ACTIVELY DISPARAGE the friends and family of buying or using Windows 7 in any product they buy.

    Yes, it's so BAD.

I plan to return or resell my current Asus netbook at this business trip back and re-purchase of the XP version. I can not express how pissed off and disappointed I am that this feature has been omitted "by design? Here I thought that Windows 7 was supposed to be an improvement over XP?

I BEG the team Microsoft to write a fix for this glaring omission!

signed, a fan disappointed in XP to life.

Hello everyone who works on it about the DISABLING of AUTOMATIC REORGANISATION in WINDOWS 7. I went online, still a time and google it. There is a new website for me, called sevenforums.com, who had a very complete downloadable fix and free for the problem, it is a great help for tech-challenged people like me. Go to the home page, register, and then return to the homepage search engine window and enter "disable auto arrange" or click on this link http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/92758-windows-explorer-auto-arrange-disable-new-post.html

ad, then click on the blue space that says "show the full tutorial".

Yippeeeeeee! Finally, a solution that involves no changes to the registry very scary. One thing to notice, that the author of the download very kindly responded to me on when I said the fix didn't work, (my bad), was that if you go to your photos in the part of the LIBRARIES in Windows 7, you cannot drag and drop to sort. You need to access your files via the USER / my images.

So, when you click START and then click on PHOTOS in the menu, you will get a window which auto puts in evidence and defaults to picture libraries. In this large window, look down on the left side of the window until you see the "computer" paragraph: click the COMPUTER > OS > USER > OWNER (and that you use your owner name) and you're there! "."

God bless the generosity of the non-Microsoft people who worked and is willing to share their knowledge.

    LAURIE

P.S. and the best thing is that the automatic arrangement sorted is supposed to stay that way next time you talk about the record.

  • Object > transform > scale window bug

Hello all Im having a really strange problem with the window of the scale that really kill my workflow so I wanted to see if anyone has experienced the same problem and if there is a possible solution.

The problem is with the window scale under the object > transform menu.

In all versions of CC so far this scale window opens with the active and ready to enter scale percentage field in.

This changed with the latest update to Illustrator and the window now loads with no active field so now you must manually click and start typing

Im sure it's a bug because all other windows in the menu transformation taking place load with active ready to type into the fields.

This may seem like a very minor thing but I use scale constantly through keyboard shortcuts and the call was in full that I don't have to manually click on the ground and due to the shortcut I can avoid clicking in the menu all together that speed up a bit of my workflow.

IM on the last version of the CC on a MacBook Pro running El Capitan 2013.

Joint a screenshot comparing the previous path, the window worked on the left and the current way it loads.

    Any help is appreciated.

    See you soon

  • Window bug Expression SOA JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0

    Hello

I use JDev 11.1.1.5 version and SOA Composite Editor 11.1.1.5.0 for SOA development. Problem is that I am not able to open the window of expression in order to assign an expression to a variable of bpel in SOA project. Is this a bug with JDev or something else?

    Thank you

    Hi bpeltechie,

Please tell us what who and how you try to do?

I believe that you drag the icon of the Expression on the target variable and it does not open the window of Expression for you to add content.

It's certainly not a bug and problem with Jdevelper individual as it works fine in my case and many others still too I know. Yes, in some cases, I saw him take a long time to open in front of which the user patience usually gives upward.

Assuming that you have already tried to restart the machine and Jdeveloper (otherwise try it please), I suggest you reinstall the Jdeveloper after completely installing it and delete the folder in the following location also.

    C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\JDeveloper

Test and let us know how it goes.

    Kind regards

  • Black window bugs and crashes and falls down, and WHAT's the PROBLEM?

First of all, I thought the problem was that my employer still uses Windows XP, with layers of custom on top security. But it happens at home, on my netbook XP vanilla.

So I thought that the problem was of XP, which is, after all, obsolete. But now it happens on my brand new laptop weeks running 64-bit Windows 7 Professional.

    Here are the problems:
    (1) for the recovery of the standby mode or when I plug it on a second monitor, or even just to have the display closed briefly, Firefox fails to redraw the contents of the window. I just get a black window empty until I have resize or force a refresh. NO OTHER PROGRAM I USE HAS THIS PROBLEM.

    (2) Firefox sometimes do not redraw little matter what I do. I just had a completely black window, and when I clicked on the close box, a msgbox jumped up, completely black inside, with a title like: "are you sure you want to close? I could not see even the 'yes' and 'No' buttons, and clicking on where they are usually did not work. I ended up closing by pressing the Enter key.

    (3) sometimes these problems are accompanied by a small vestigial micro-fenetre, which has no content, no close button and no control resizing. Is this nothing window with no title, but the title bar is long enough for characters may 20. The last time this happened to me, nothing window had a cursor flashing text inside, but typing had no effect. The only way to get rid of the micro-fenetre is to close every single instance of Firefox and wait about 20 seconds. Then it disappears on its own. Sometimes it appears on its own without the black screen problem.

    (4) all my favicons disappear when I updated Firefox on my work XP computer, and they refuse to come back, even when I revisit Web sites.

    Computers involved are:
Reference Dell E4200 running Win XP Pro
NetBook Acer One Win XP family
Vostro 3350 running Windows 7 Pro

All 3 computers running Norton Security Suite (The E4200 runs a care company, the other two are conducted in free version of Comcast)
And all 3 computers were connected to a video Displaylink adapter USB (for a 3rd screen) at one time or another, which means that the driver is loaded on all computers, but these problems occur without any external monitor connected at all.
    Everything else is pretty vanilla.

I get these questions every other day or two and it is really starting to annoy me and make me worried that Firefox is unstable, with me afraid that no matter what unsaved work or even data from my hard drive may be at risk.

    Try turning off hardware acceleration.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

Recently, the progress bar on my computer vista laptop, whenever I have remove, move or copy an object, rest on screen stuck at 0%, even if she has already completed. It remains on the screen and wont close unless I use the Task Manager to end it, that reboots completely explore. I thought maybe it was a virus or malware, but I scanned for malwarebytes and safe mode, using avast. Both were threats, but even after their removal, the problem still remains. It would be a good idea to run the System File Checker tool:

"How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the files on system missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7"

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click all programs, click Accessories , click command prompt and then click Run as administrator of . If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on Allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
/ScannowThe SFC sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

If SFC detects serious flaws, you may need to perform a repair upgrade Installation.

  • Windows - bug or feature photo gallery?

While using WPG to display pictures in a file, by clicking on the right arrow to move to the next photo normally appear the next photo in the line, as displayed in the window of the file. Sometimes, however, it makes the photo appear in the same column in the next row (i.e., it advances to the bottom of the column instead of all the tier). Same effect when you use the right arrow on the keyboard. I accidentally changed a setting, or...?

Thanks, J, but no cigar. The files in the folder are sorted alphabetically, and all start with the letters. The behavior looks like really intentional: when WPG enters the 'mode' (for lack of better term) the securities down the column, as he works on another linked list. I'll try resizing the window to the folder, so there is a different number of columns. I'll make the results later.

Ok. I resized the window of five icons across six folder and launched a new WPG by double-clicking an icon. Not only the new WPG worked properly, but the old we started work correctly as well. Go figure.

Not really a solution, but a useful workaround solution. I'm always curious to know what caused her to go according to the columns in the first place.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro bug with Mac News El Capitan. Project window bugs when paused/stopped (including screenshot)

I just upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan, and when I started editing with Adobe Premiere Pro, my project window would look like this in pause/stop:

    Screen Shot 2015-10-16 at 9.57.00 PM.png

If you had read this forum for 2-3 weeks, you would have seen a TON of these... and there are also many other problems of El Capitan. Not only for Adobe, but for all kinds of software. Heck, even the crowd of MS Office is angry against El Capitan!

If you can, roll back to Yosemite... There is a thread, you should find in a search with the statement on this.

Otherwise, to do this, go to project settings... Acceleration of mercury... and together for the only software rendering. A box should then appear, and in this document, select "remove the Previews. Close & restart.

And... screaming Apple to get them to pay some attention to their 'old style' user-base of the computer. They fell in love with devices, and you're so old school... at least for them...

  • Deskjet 710/720/810/820/1000 Series printers - Patch for 64 bit Vista and Windows 7

There is a problem with the 64-bit, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 or 8.1 drivers which causes the spooler crash with the following HP Deskjet printers:

    DeskJet 710

    DeskJet 712

    DeskJet 720

    DeskJet 722

    DeskJet 810

    DeskJet 812

    Deskjet 820

    DeskJet 822

    DeskJet 1000

The attachment contains a fix for this problem for Vista and Windows 7.

[The patch does not work for Windows 8, 8.1, or 10 x 64 systems. There are efforts to this address, if a solution is developed it will be shown here. [{Edit - I did not progress by getting the patch to run in Windows 8 x 64.}]

First of all make sure that the driver for the installed printer. If the driver has not been installed go to start devices and printers, add printer, the local printer, choose the appropriate port (for the converters, USB-parallel, the port likely USB001: or maybe USB002 :), then click Windows Update then choose HP for the manufacturer and select the appropriate printer.)

Apply the patch as follows: log in to the computer with an administrator account. Download the patch by clicking on this link or on the trombone at the end of this post. Save the hotfix on your computer, then unzip it. Then, copy the three DLL files in the following directory: %windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3

Note that %windir%\System32 is a system variable that points to the location of the Windows directory. For most systems it will be C:\Windows. You can click Start, computer, and type %windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 in the address bar and it is in the right place.

This can be done from a DOS command prompt if BACK is opened with the "run as Administrator" command or to explore with a copy and paste. Depending on your UAC settings, you may need to provide confirmation. Also allow existing files to be replaced if you are prompted.

This patch is not necessary and should not be applied to a 32-bit version of Vista or Windows 7.

Thanks to extraordinary Microsoft engineer Alan Morris forguidelines for patch.

Update - here is that of the more detailed installation instructions:

Download the patch on the DJ_Patch.zip at the bottom of the page and save it on your computer. Now click on the file and open it, and then extract the fix in a directory that is easy to find. (I use c:\temp. If this directory does not exist you can create it as follows: open the administrative BACK prompts by clicking Start, all programs, accessories, and then right-click on CMD. EXE and select run as administrator. Click in the DOS window, and then type the following command:

    MD c:\temp

    CD \temp

Now extract the patch files in the c:\temp directory (all, extract c:\temp chose as a destination).

[Update - Windows security settings can prevent these files from being used, please open computer, type c:\temp in the address bar and then right click on each of the dll files and select Properties.] If there is a message indicating the properties file has been downloaded from the internet and can be blocked and then unlock the file before continuing.]

Then, click back to the administrative DOS prompt and type the following: (the green stuff are comments, do not type them...)

*. DLL DIR (just to check that the files are there, it should list hpvdb720.dll, hpvdb820.dll and hpwm5db1.dll and perhaps others).

Net stop spooler (ensures that the files are not in use.)

Copy hpvdb720.dll C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 (this is for the Deskjet 710/712/720/722)

Copy hpvdb820.dll c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 (this covers the Deskjet 820 and 822)

    Hpwm5db1.dll c:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3(this covers the Deskjet 1000 copy)

    NET Start Spooler

    Output

[Edit - note that these DLL files will already be in the directory. You will get a warning asking if it's OK to replace the files, say "Yes".]

At this point, the patch is installed and ready to print.

Note that here printers do not support USB connections, they have only the parallel ports. [Edit - if your printer has a parallel port to use, it will be probably much less problematic than the use of a converter USB / parallel]. If you use a make you converter USB / parallel it is supported in your operating system. The following messages are reported by cables USB-parallel that are supposed to work in Windows 7. A driver is required for the converter USB / parallel besides the driver of the printer. For converters supported, it is usually provided automatically in Windows 7. Note: the appropriate to select for USB-parallel converter port is often USB001:. I've heard of cases where the port was USB002: or LPT3: as well. If the port you are using is unable (after applying the fix) try to change the port by going to start, devices and printers, right-click on your printer and select printer properties, then click the Ports tab.

Mick4 wrote: the problem is that I only could unzip the 3 dll files but don't know how to replace the bad dll files. Mick 4

If you use Windows 7 do the following: log in as a user with the administrater properties. [The following assumes that you are using IE as your browser] Click on the here link and select "Save". Once the download is complete, select "Open folder", then right-click on the DJ_patch.zip file and select extract all. If extract all is not an option, then click on "Open with" and select Windows Explorer.

Leave the default directory and check the box "Show extracted files when you are finished", excerpt. Click Start, computer, and type % windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3. Arrange the windows so that you can access the two parts of the window. Go in the first pane and select the three files dll, hpvdb720.dll, hpvdb820.dll and hpwm5db1.dll. Now drag and drop them to the % windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 window, select copy and answer to 'replace' in the dialog box.

Note: %windir%\System32 is a system variable that points to the Windows directory. For most systems it will be C:\Windows, but it can vary depending on the configuration of NDO of hardware configuration of the computer. If you type %windir%\SysWoW64\cmd.exe in the address bar in Explorer or in start, search programs and files, it will find the right directory.

  • Bootcamp blocks windows 10

    Hello everyone

I own a macbook air mid-2013 and I tried to install win 10 on it. I used Bootcamp to download supported drivers. Like many of you I had as we the trick to skip installing the audio driver realtek to install the drivers to support. After that I installed it manually via the file on the usb key. But now whenever I start windows, it crashes on me after 2-3 minutes. I get the blue screen of death, saying: I had a "kernel security" check failure. I am sure that the bootcamp software is the fault. I am really frustrated. Does anyone of you have similar problem and has someone already reported such things to apple? I mean it's that apple is not able to provide drivers of ridiculous work. I call the apple support. Here's the Windows bug report.

  • Problem Bluetooth satellite P70-B-102 - upgrade to Windows 10

    Hello to all forum users.

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite P70-B-102 with the operating system Windows 8.1 in Portuguese.

The problem I have is that I can not upgrade to Windows 10, since, according to the upgrade of Windows application, the computer cannot update the Bluetooth drivers, including the following: Bluetooth RFHID, RFBNEP, RFBUS and RFCOMM.

This situation remains at least a month and a half and I can't update windows to version 10.

Can someone help me solve this problem?

    Thanks for your valuable help!
    Pedro Moura

It's very strange... I think it must be some kind of Windows bug... I recommend you check if all Windows updates and patches are installed.

In addition, the unit is listed as a supported upgrade Win 10 model, so win 10 update should be possible.

    The unit is here: http://win10upgrade.toshiba.com/swup...spx?region=TEG

Win 10 driver can be downloaded and updated from this page:
    http://win10upgrade.Toshiba.com/swup...SPX?region=TEG

but in case the upgrade of Windows 10 using the automatic upgrade procedure does not work, try to improve Windows 10 using the media creation tool

  • Satellite U400 - 13K PSU45E Windows XP & 4 GB RAM

    Hello!

I have a Satellite Pro U400 - 13K (model: PSU45E-00800DGE), with 4 GB of installed RAM (800 MHz). I used to work with Windows Vista Business SP1 32-bit, which was the pre-installed operating system, and I could see all the 4 GB of RAM in the properties of "My Computer".

Last a few days and aftert 2 years of work with Windows Vista, I decided to downgrade in Windows XP Professional 32-bit, as I faced incredible problems with performance. Even though I had very low temperature on my proceccor carrots and only 4-5 open applications (Ms Outlook, IE, Adobe Creative Suite CS3 and a little more), I looked at my phone to freeze for about half a minute and still to come! I have spent many months trying to figure out what's wrong, I changed the machine, I reinstalled the system several times, but when there was a big load, that happened more and more often. So after reading a few posts on several forums, I realized that Windows XP need fewer physical resources for the same things and I decided to downgrade. It is only a few decades in time, but if I can work faster, that's OK.

Thus, we come to the question! After a successful installation of Windows XP Professional 32-bit, using the official, given restore disc with the laptop (it came with two operating systems of two bilingual English & Greek), I realized how fast he could be with Windows XP Professional 32-bit! I could ' t believe that...! Why I was using my laptop with Vista, all these years, I have no idea! The problem is with the memory, like that cannot recognize the 4 GB of RAM, even if they have installed SP3 and all updates provided Microsoft Windows. I'm sure that Windows XP Pro 32 bit can 'see' the 4 GB of RAM, as I had 4 GB of RAM with Windows XP on a desktop computer, I have no more.

I also tried the/3 GB and the/PAE boot.ini spends some time, but nothing else. The problem is that I do not remember what I have on my desk, or how that has memory, but I don't know that I had 4 GB of RAM in the 'Properties' window I searched on the net also to find a solution, but I couldn't find the boot.ini file switches and parameters of the BIOS, which is not based in the settings of the BIOS of TOSHIBA laptops.

Is a solution provided by some user/technician exprerienced, about this Windows bug?

Thank you very much in advance for your kind cooperation.

    Angelos Pitsos

I've never tried XP with up to 4 GB of RAM to be honest, anything over 2 GB should be more than enough.
32-bit operating systems can only address a total of 4 GB of RAM, why you can't access all this RAM is because the address space is also used for the system resources such as network cards, scsi controllers and graphics cards etc.
