ASCII-WHAT TO DO

What strikes am I do to accidentally activate the ASCII keyboard... but the most important... How do I Cancel this.

Hi Dontlookethel,

Are a. you using a cable or a wireless keyboard?

B. who is the manufacturer of keyboard?

Are c. When you facing this problem?

ASCII keys appear with the key combination Alt and numeric keys.   You can tap the button Alt 3 or 4 times or open the keyboard to the screen to see if the Alt key is pressed or stuck. Alt key will be highlighted if it is pressed or if the key is stuck.

  • You've blocked the sending of an email. What is the non-ASCII character?

I am email all ready to send and you blocked it because: "there are non-ASCII characters in the local part of the address of the recipient. It is not yet supported. If please change this address and try again. "whatever that means?

You probably use the accented characters in the e-mail address. The server you are trying to send through cannot process non-ASCII characters.

From the Wikipedia article - "ASCII":

The encoded characters are numbers 0 to 9, letters a to z, uppercase letters from A to Z, basic punctuation symbols, control codes that originated with the teletypes and space.

It is a common problem with some older servers. Check the email address. You may be able to send if you change just accentuated with no accented characters. No guarantee.
If the accents are necessary, you will need to find another server to use. (gmail?)

  • When I try to send an email to multiple recipients, I get this message: "there are non-ASCII characters in the local part of the address of the recipient. This is not

I bought a new computer. When I try to send an e-mail to multiple recipients, now, I get this message: "there are non-ASCII characters in the local part of the address of the recipient. It is not yet supported. If please change this address and try again. "I don't know what are the non-ASCII characters, so I don't know what to do. I never had this problem on my old computer. Please explain in simple language.

The 'local' part in the context of email addresses, the part to the left of the symbol @. The warning is a bit of a surprise, because in general the owner of a mail server is relatively free to specify the address format. There is a movement to allow the games to other characters to be used in the fields, so I'm a little disappointed to see that, apparently, e-mail does not support the latter in the local part yet or it can be your SMTP server that generates this message.

ASCII characters ("American Standard Code for Information Interchange") are, on the whole, the English alphabet, uppercase and lowercase, as well as figures, common punctuation and case of things like the asterisks, obliques and media bars, but not of accented characters. But even apparently simple things like spaces and dashes have cousins who, at first glance, appear to be identical, but are not represented in the ASCII system. I am thinking especially nonbreaking spaces, dash and half-quadratin.

But I don't know why your new computer must have caused these warnings.

  • Satellite NB10-A-10V - how to enter ASCII characters

    Hello!

How can I enter ASCII characters, using the digital codes, with this little computer keyboard, please?

I tried several combinations, using the "FN", overlay and the keys 'ALT', without success.
What is the solution? The user guide is no help.

In particular, I would like to enter the character "ß" (Alt + 0223 or Alt + 225).
I don't want to use the table of Windows 8 characters.

    Can someone please help?

    Thank you very much

Inserting characters ACII always depends on the software you use.

_For example_ in Microsoft Word to insert ASCII characters, you need to press on and hold the ALT key while typing the character code.

    * NOTE: * you must use the numeric keypad to type the numbers and not the keyboard.
Make sure that the Numlock key is on if your keyboard requires to type numbers on the numeric keypad.

  • Why is incorrect dt when TDMS log file is exported to ASCII text?

In short, we are 6 hours recordings 4096 samples per second on 6 channels. We use a different program to analyze the electrical data and so we export to Ascii text. However, when import us the dt that is listed in the file Ascii text file won't and if I would like to convert it to the samples per second, it would be more than 4098.2! As synchronize us this data to another system, it is imperative that we ensure that the sampling time are correct. Anyone know why we would get an incorrect dt indicated in the ascii file?

If I go back to the Module acquire DAQmx in Signal Express that we used to get the data, I see that the rate shown is 4096.0

Clampfit of Axon INstruments allows us to import the data of Signal acquired Express.

Potentially, we're looking at a few days or weeks to convert data because of this gap if anyone can shed some light on the view I would be very grateful.

    Kind regards

    SMB

Take a look at the following documents, I think the first thing to check is that your card can achieve this sampling rate. If it is possible, then we can look into if it is for a reason, adjusting, or if something in the conversion is making data appear different.

What sample rate is my DAQ able to map: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/4BBE1409700F6CE686256E9200652F6B

  • What is DIAdem?

Someone could expain to me what tiara? I am a user of Labview, and I use it not only for the acquisition of data, but also for the analysis of the data.

We have a Campus license, order to Diadem is included, but I don't know if it is the effort to examine it or not worthing. So, please, could someone explain to me what can do Diadem and impossible Labview?

    Thank you

    Hello gnappo,

It's a good question, and I'll try to give a brief answer.

Tiara is an application of post processing and data communication (you can also write custom in LabVIEW code for). I'll try to make an analogy with the ecosystem of Microsoft here. LabVIEW is a tool of programming (such as Visual Studio in the world of Microsoft), and the tiara is an application (we will compare to Excel in the world of Microsoft).

You can certainly schedule a specific analysis and reporting processes well in LabVIEW, but anything that requires that greater flexibility is better served by DIAdem.

Among the highlights of DIAdem for me are:

    1. DataPlugins - ability to load data from more than 500 files formats directly in DIAdem without the need to create custom players, including Excel and ASCII files using wizards

    2. DataFInder - creates an automatic index of all the files and their metadata that can instantly be searched from the research free text or keyword

    3. Easily load data from multiple files for comparison in a set of data online (data portal), including subsets of data (individual signals or groups) according to specific conditions

    4. Interactive control of data using the sliders, with the ability to synchronize the video, GPS signals and other sources of data in an easy to use interface

    5. A comprehensive mathematical analysis of the curve fits the statistics and analysis of signals - more libraries Extensible forms and automatic unit conversion

    6. Creating multi-page graphics, dynamic and reusable report templates including 2D, 3D graphics and tables, polar plots, and images inline and variable

    7. Automation thanks to recorders macro, with the possibility to expand the macros into VBScript, create custom menus, bars of tool and icon, dialogues and all user interfaces

These are a few things that come to mind - you can visit the page DIAdem here on ni.com (http://www.ni.com/diadem/) for more details, or call your local office of OR and ask for a personalized presentation of DIAdem.

  • Photosmart HP 7520: printing the ascii at top of page

Bought this printer about a year ago.  All that it worked very well, but recently.  When you try to print a large document, it will print the first pages with no problems, but all of a sudden it will start blank pages to print with ASCII characters in the top of the page or brands of black smear on the left side of the page.  It will go through about 20 pages of that until I can cancel the print job.

I just tried to print two pages at a time and it worked for the first 20 pages and now he's doing it again.

With the HP software on the computer, I looked to see if there was an upgrade of the printer and it came back that he was not.

Basically, this printer has become useless!

  • Import ASCII dates with different format

    Hello

I need to import data from a CSV of ASCII.

The problem is the date format in this particular data file (.csv)

    The date format for day< 10="" and="" month="" from="" jan="" to="" sep="">

AAAA/_M/_Dthe character '_' is a simple space, not an underscore literally

The format of the date days > = 10 and Jan to Sep month is:

    _M/JJ/AAAA

The format of the date days > = 10 and months of Oct to dec is:

    YYYY/MM/DD

    The date format for day< 10="" and="" months="" from="" oct="" to="" dec="">

    YYYY/MM/_D

    Possible solution:

I already create a routine that recognizes the date in the title and one of the 4 (.stp) filter uses for data processing. These are the works.

    Next problem:

The days are separated into 2 files, a file from 09:00 to 21:00 one day and the other from 21:00 to 09:00 on the following day. It's the way I've lost data when the day changes from 9th to the 10th of each month and the month change of Sept Oct and Dec to Jan.

I just need to delete the blankspace unconfortable before the changes of dates 2-digit, but I do not know how to deal with the before CSV imported to tiara (10.2).

My other idea is to recognize this file and any double (once with each please) but I need to exactly position the import is not the problem with the data of novalue. (Until know I got complicated for a simple mistake of blankspace).

I hope that you have ideas...

    Thanks in advance...

I don't know if I understand that measures are not clear. Here's what I think you want to do:

    (1) load data from different files in DIAdem

To do this, you must use "DataFileLoad("E:\Customer_Requests\caracasnet\log(111231).csv","caracasnet_log","Load") call.

You call DataFileLoad for each of the files.

    (2) you want to concatenate the groups.
This should be no different than what you've done up to now

    (3) you want to store the data in a file (TDM).
To do this, you must call DataFileSave (...)

There is an error in my formula... it is based on a variable that is not really defined.

    Thus,.

    strval (substr (${STR_3}, strind (${STR_3}, "current =" "") + 10, strind (${STR_3}, "(") - strind (${STR_3}, "current =" "") + 10 ")))

    the syntax is:

    substr (String, start, length)

STRIND (String, search string) - gives you a number that is the beginning of the search string, must be added in advance at the end of the search string

strval (string) - transforms a string in a number

    So, to deconstruct the formula

Browse to the location of the number, in this case, it is immediately after "current =", so look for this string and add 10 to advance beyond it. "

Find the location of the next bracket, look for "().

Calculate the length of the number by subtracting the position of the bracket of the position of the beginning of the number

    current XXXXXXX = 42.0 (ampsx10)

    ^              ^      ^

    A             B     C

    East strind (${STR_3}, "current =" "")

    B = A + 10 or strind (${STR_3}, "current =" "") + 10

    C = strind (${STR_3} "(" ")")

    length b = C - B or C - 10 A +.

So, using this notation, the above formula is

    STRVAL (SUBSTR (STRING, A + 10, C - A + 10))

    Rsh

    Hi, RSH,.

The script you posted is one thing only - creates a new file called "Channel.asc" and filled it with the names of all the channels currently in the tiara.  The "Channel.asc" file is created in the directory stored in the variable "AutoDrvUser", which is the old variable that stores the current default directory for reading and writing data files.  It usually contains the folder that you loaded changed a file of data (interactive mode).  *.Asc file extension means ASCII, which means a text file, which it is.

  • Divide the 16-bit words in his HI and LO bytes, then convert it to ASCII?

    Hello

    I'm doing the mentioned action:

Divide the 16-bit words in his HI and LO bytes, then convert it to ASCII

I downloaded the .zip file and got the files .lks and .l4t... I don't know what are these files?  Where can I find just a VI for what I want to do?

If someone has one, let me know!

    Thank you

    Danny

    Danny,

Look at the sections of Data Manipulation and Conversion of the Digital Palette. Burst and array of bytes to a string number are your friends.

In regards to the files, you will need to know the file formats. I never heard of one of those, and a search in the file don't produce something useful.

  • ASCII to HEX Strings BIG string

    Hello guys,.

I know that it is already a lot of posts on this issue, but I couldn't find exactly what I need and also could not manage to solve it myself...

I need to convert a string with ASCII characters in a string that contains these characters in HEXADECIMAL representation.

    What I did:

Apparently, it works very well, but only for a limited number of characters defined by the representation of the data of the constant 0 (U64). It allows me to convert that 8 ASCII characters, as you can see from the image below:

So, it converted from 0 to 7, but not the other characters (8 and 9).

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

What is the data type of the constant plugs into the cast.  My guess is that it is a U64.  So it will be cataloged only the first 8 bytes of your string to a number, then you do hex on these 8 numbers.

Use the string to byte array.  Or you could also catalogued where an array of integers U8 is connected to the conversion function.

  • ascii conversion point floating decimal values

    Hello

With the help of LV8.6, I'm working on a project in which I'm floating
data point on port series as ASCII form and I need to convert it to sound
    appropriate decimal value.

I tried the type cast to convert data and managed
When the data were only a decimal value.

But when these values are floating which is my

    get only the first digit.

But the data are received correctly on the screen of the chain and

  • How to convert the Ascii string containing hex to hex string info?

    Dear all,

I am busy doing a control/reading program for pumps of ISCO.

Right now I'm in trouble with to send orders for PUMPS in HEXADECIMAL. When I use a CONTROL to the STRING in HEX display, everything works fine (when I manually write down the command in the control of the chain).

Exist it a couple of pieces order: string Destination, length, ordering, Checksum. I'm doing a sup - screw that automatically calculates the checksum (modulo 256) and adds it to the string. Everything is going well: first of all, I shared the ascii bytes command and I calculate the checksum and add as ASCII HEXADECIMAL value to the chain of command. Also a CR (= 0d) is added. Now the whole string must be converted to hex. The string contains the right nummers HEX, but they are in ASCII format. Here was I feel worth it, I don't know how to do it!

    So to summarize:

I have an ascii string that contains the values HEX (for example 315230303652454D4F544531420D) and it must be converted to a HEX string (for instance 3152 3030 3652 454 4531 420 4F54) for the pump of the ISCO can understand the command.

    The VI is attached.
