• Export of batches of regular financial report with LCM

  Hi people. 11.1.1.3 EMP here running.
  
  I'm trying to use LCM to export regular batches of Financial Reporting. When I shared in the context of Reporting and Analysis Services, under the zoom on objects regular, I don't see any regular object and yet I have about 200 EN batch reports on demand on my dev server.
  
  I looking in the wrong place to export these or is there another way?

  11.1.1.3, the files get exported under the Hyperion\Common\import_export folder.

• ASO retrieves inconsistent between Excel report and financial in the 9.3.1

  I use basic ASO in the 9.3.1 in the 64-bit Sun Solaris 10 platform.
  
  I found a problem in FR. Please any expert can help with this problem!
  
  I have ASO database with 11 dimensions.
  -Month (time dimension)
  -Year (stored hierarchy)
  -fiscal (stored hierarchy)
  -The script (multiple hierarchy)
  -AmountType (stored hierarchy)
  -FT (stored hierarchy)
  -RC (stored hierarchy)
  -RN (account dimension)
  -WP (multiple hierarchy)
  -Report (dynamic hierarchy)
  -Express in (stored hierarchy)
  
  We have the MDX formula in dimension of report that is placed in the financial status at end of report column.
  However, for some columns/rows, we found that there is no data in the parent level but no data when I developed the dimension of the report. Or, there's data at the level of the child of the dimension of the report but no data to the level parent dimension of report.
  
  When I check cross by Excel. I can extract the data correct at the parent level and child.
  It seems that there is a problem between the financial report and Essbase EN cannot retrieve the data when I develop the column or row in HTML view.
  
  All people find missing data / incompatible data in case of extension of lines/columns in financial report?

  Have you had a glance to essbase patch to the latest version (9.3.1.3). I know there have been problems solved with perhaps MDX, it solves the problem that you are experiencing.
  There are also some known problems, it is useful to check the Readme (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10530_01/doc/epm.931/esb_93130_readme.pdf)

  for example MDX. When you use MDX, the Parent function does not have the value relative to all required members. The solution is to set an internal configuration option (2 FormulaOptLevel) to disable the optimization (retroreflective) [6589847 (8-648458764)]

  However, because you see in excel and not in EN question can lay elsewhere, but it is always worth checking.
  Also have you checked EN newspapers to see if errors are generated.

  Hello

  You have configured SMTP server settings in the various configuration files for the new version that you use? Your journal, it seems that it is always set to "mail", which I think is the default value.

  I think that the minimum you need to do is Essbase, financial reports and workspace, files as shown below (paths may vary depending on the platform, windows & tomcat provided below, even if it looks like you did before).

  Essbase: C:\Hyperion\AnalyticAdministrationServices\server\ OlapAdmin.properties

  Financial reports: C:\Hyperion\BIPlus\lib\ fr_global.properties

  Workspace: log and select Navigate > administer > Notifications

  You may also need to restart related services.

  We have up gradation of EMP 11.1.2.3.500 11.1.1.3.

  We have financial reports book for HFM.

  When we right click on the books and select 'complete book as PDF', we get after that error

  "the nested exception is: java.lang.NullPointerException.

  

  

  any idea?

  I ve tried to install the power supply 11.1.2.3.505 (19795686) for financial reporting.

  The command is:

  C:\Oracle\Middleware\EPMSystem11R1\OPatch > opatch.bat applies C:\Oracle\Middleware\

  EPMSystem11R1\OPatch\19795686-oh C:\Oracle\Middleware jdk - C:\Oracle\Middleware

  \jdk160_35

  But it stops with the following error message:

  OPatch failed to find inventory YES home of the Oracle based. But, location YES

  is provided through "oui_loc" option. Please check the inventory of the Oracle CDM

  e and OPatch execution again.

  OPatch failed with error code = 255

  Any ideas?

• Hyperion financial reporting - error 429 Activex Studio

  
  Hello everyone,

  I recently installed Studio of Hyperion 11.1.2.1 on a Windows 7 64 bit computer financial reports using the stand-alone Installer (FinancialReportingStudio.exe)

  After installation, when you try to launch the client we get the runtime error 429 active x Classic.

  I had this problem before in previous commitments and the solution was to run the utility of configuration on the computer and the error would then disappear.  The problem is that the stand-alone installer does not appear for program installation/install the utility of configuration on the client computer.

  Any suggestions on how to solve the problem?  Already tried to launch only the HRrunant.bat and that did not help.

  Tried two of these ideas and they didn't work.

  We found the question if, we were using the installer of the client 64-bit on a 32-bit computer, which is not very obvious financial reporting studio setup is basically the same for both platforms.  If you use the workspace to download the client installation program it will give you only the version that is on the server, which in our case was the 64-bit Installer.

• Financial reporting for Hyperion Planning Application error

  I get this error when you try to run a HFR report in the workspace, which connects to a planning application:
  
  Query execution error: error: internal error Essbase JAPI: [cannot run the report. [Essbase Error (1012709): virtual time series, the last period of time set [period] is not a time dimension member level 0]
  
  My question is: where I put the last time period in the planning application?
  
  I googled like crazy, but I can't seem to find anything like that, but the period start and end parameters. When I go in the settings of SDRS to the planning application, there is no option to set the 'last period of time."

  Seems that you won't put perspective preview so you can not choose a period, in the workspace, go to file > Preferences > Financial Reporting, set an excerpt to it.

• Financial Reporting Exception - query execution error: java.lang.Arithmetic

  I use the Financial Reporting Studio 11.1.2.507 to develop a report to a planning application, so I use a connection of planning to do. This report contains some Calc and I'm sure it's possible generate a division by zero. But what is coming: I started to develop this report using the admin user and no error has been shown. Then when I tried to access this report with one user other than the admin user, the error occurs: "error running query: java.lang.ArithmeticException: / by zerojava.lang.ArithmeticException.
  So, have you seen this scenario before?
  Could you help me with this problem?

  No problem. The POV that you set in Studio EN automatically applies to all users. You don't need to do anything else. It could be a security issue. I just assumed the POV for the test user is probably mapped to the dimension itself as entity and as the test user doesn't have access to the entity, you get the error message.

  To resolve this issue, connect to the workspace > Explore > file > Preferences > Financial Reporting > user Point of view > preview. Make sure that the option 'On' is selected.

  I want to install the client financial report in Windows XP for a customer in this machine, there is already a folder hyperion in driver c. basically, I extracted zip to install Hyperion, files foundation files and files financial reports and when I install it, I simply select financial report customer and I install, but it shows failed for all of the selected options. When I come back, I can't find the Hyperion/Common/JRE folder, so I copy the local JRE on my laptop folder, and then reinstall, but still the same error. Can I configure the path environment variable to designate the JRE, or what ever? Seems that the installation cannot processs in Windows XP? Please notify

  I ve installed Essbase & financial reports. When I started financial reports im getting the error CAN NOT CONNECT to THE GSM SERVER SERVERNAME:6800.. _
  
  What is the problem.

  Try to stop everything. Start Shared Services and make sure that it is all the way to the top. Then start the BI database Service. Check the log after starting to ensure that the core service started successfully. You should see a message similar to "Give control to the ORB," which shows that the core service and started correctly GSM. If there are errors, you will need to go back and re - run the config utility. If GSM is on another machine that FR, so make sure that machines can resolve host names used in the configuration tool. I suggest using fully qualified domain name. You should be able to ping the machine: 6800 to ensure.

• Financial report restores do not task list

  I'm on 11.1.2.2 and I can't get my financial reports to display when you click on the task list. The task list is the link smartcut appearing in the task list, but I get an error message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". Someone has understood how to get lists of tasks to work on 11.1.2.2? I try it on IE8.

  There is a new bug for the same.

  When you open a Hyperion EN or WA report Embeded by Smartcut URL in A operational planning list results in error: "EMP workspace cannot operate within a framework." Contact your system administrator. "[1314405.1 ID]

  There the solution listed for use a special url to launch the report.

  A number of things that I noticed.

• Access financial reports

  My reports that use "User POV" give users the following error message
  
  5222: unable to display the report. You do not have access to the following members on the POV:
  
  If I pass the POV POV grid then it opens without error (even if it is the same member). I also chose the Member in my preference of financial reports. Initially, I had 3 dimensions in the POV. Each gave the same error. I removed all and everything worked. As soon as I moved it back started does not. The user doesn't have access to all members of the hierarchy (so they have no access to the upper limb)
  
  How can I configure this sort user POV works correctly for all users?

  Can you please check if the preview UserPOV is checked.
  In the workspace, go to file-> Preferences-> financial information, there is a button to activate the preview of UserPOV.

• Error when running the report EN

  I created a financial report for the HFM application, but when I try to run the same it gives error dirver ADM.
  
  I even restart all services. But the same error.
  
  Any help will be appreciated

  This error is not related to the Services. Is that you installed the HFM client on server EN? Customer HFM automatically installs the driver required for the EN to connect to HFM.
