Aspire driver v3 - 772 g problems

Hello

You just bought an Acer Aspire v3 - 772 g (8 GB of RAM, GTX 760 M Nvidia GPU) without OS.

Installed Win 8 & all drivers. Was working fine until I upgraded my BIOS in 1,05 to 1.11. Was a stupid mistake. Now my laptop get a BSD every 5 minutes or more. Not able to work at all. Several times tried reinstaling & drivers windows

The main problem seems to be the Intel VGA drivers. The problems begin as soon as I install the VGA drivers downloaded from ACER. When I install the generic Intel HD 4600 drivers from Intel, the BSD are reduced but not eliminated. But the light flashes a lot where I get eye strain.

When I turn off the graphics card Intel HD 4600 of the control panel all seem to be stable. But then the laptop is more as useful as a chormebook.

Someone knows a solution? In some forum I saw this demotion to 1.08 BIOS sloves the problem. But don't know if I should attempt it.

I also read in other forums that many have problems with V3 - 772 G. May be I would return the laptop one get another brand.

Concerning

Solved *.

I've downgraded to version 1.08 of the BIOS. Required a quite a bit of courage to do it on a laptop brand new. But the laptop runs as smooth as ice, and runs continuously for 6 hours without any BSOD or the screen flickers. Installed lots of software and play games too.

So far not a single problem.

For all those who think of a BIOS upgrade.

1. never upgrade BIOS if your system works well.

2 first create recovery media.

3 create custom images to preserve your applications (use recimg. Google for help). If possible, store the image in a different patition.

  • Aspire driver V3 - 772 G Windows 8.1 USB 3.0 problem

    Hi all

    I bought my V3 - 772G 1 months ago about.

Yesterday everything worked well and today, I noticed that none of the 4 USB ports were working (laptop was suspended since yesterday)

No USB not connected, nothing. Key/mouse USB/hard drives /... does not work.

I noticed that in Device Manager, I had problems with the ' USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver "that the driver was not loaded. I've seen people online saying to uninstall and restart the computer. That and once again no operation USB, Device Manager, the device with problems was now "Compliant Host Controller xHCI USB".

I tried WITHOUT success to the following:

-Downloaded ' USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller Driver "Intel has failed (available only for W7) - Web site

    -Restart windows full - same

-Disconnecting the battery and power for a few minutes, restarted - even

-Remove all USB devices (hubs and so forth), restarted - even

-Uninstalled all updates of 2 days before (to the point that I know that it worked) - pilot months before change - same result dates

-Tried to search the BIOS to disable USB3.0 and put 2.0 - not found

-Tried to get back to another restore - point na not work, complained that the disc is maybe damaged

-Widnows run chkdsk/r several times - no error found - nothing resolved

-Run chkdsk/r - stuck at 16%, but I guess that needs all night (TODO) - solved anything

-Tried to do a repair without losing files (using recovery partitions) - always guess how

Any idea or any help? They just stop working. I plug laptop already with windows 8.1 and they worked for 1 month

    Thank you

    -UPDATE1-

I used the command-line (via recovery windows at startup) and copied all the files from backup drive (I assume) X:\Windows\System32\Drivers\usb* on the local drive C:\Windows\System32\Drivers

    Rebooted - still nothing

    [Solved]

    Here's what you can try:

    (1) ensure that the ntbtlog.txt file located in C:\Windows it is removed (to clean the logs)

    (2) to activate the startup log check which driver loading fails:

    Option A:

    (1) open administrator command prompt

    (2) write "bcdedit/set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy" to allow the start of legacy with F8 (don't forget to change the settings after this guide)

    (3) reboot and press F8

    (4) select this option to start with active log

    Option B:

    1) press "WIN + R" and write "msconfig".

    (2) in the Startup tab, select the option "Startup journal."

    (3) to apply the changes and reboot (remember to change the settings after this guide)

    (3) check the drivers failed in the log (C:\Windows\ntbtlog.txt) file (in my case I got "ucx01000.sys" driver failure)

    (4) after researching online (Source) I saw the USB3.0 stack consists of 3 files of accommodation with the xHCI Host Controller: Usbhub3.sys, Ucx01000.sys and Usbxhci.sys.

    (5) restart the laptop and press 'ALT + F10' to enter in the menu ACER recovery

    (6) select "Troubleshooting", then "Advanced Options", then "Command Prompt"

    (7) you will be located in the "X:" drive and the folder "system32" of the recovery unit

    (8) write "cd drivers.

    (9) "copy write Usbhub3.sys C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\" (if you are asked to overwrite, answer "Yes")

    (10) "copy write Ucx01000.sys C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\" (if you are asked to overwrite, answer "Yes")

    (11) writing "copy Usbxhci.sys C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\" (if you are asked to overwrite, answer 'Yes')

    (12) write 'exit '.

    (13) restart your laptop, and you should be able to use USB again

    (14) disable the startup option if you used Option B.

In my case, the "Ucx01000.sys" file was missing in the drivers folder.

  • Hard drive Satellite Pro C650 problem

Hi, a friend of mine's laptop in me to take a look because he wasn't starting. He was going straight to boot from the network map, so a little thought that it's a dead hard drive. Then, I checked the BIOS and as expected not detected HARD drive. Removed hard drive and reinstall, same problem. Then I tried another working SATA drive I've saved, not detected in the BIOS. I then tried the hard drive of my HP Elitebook 6930p for laptop, yet undetected work.

Someone at - he fell on this issue before, it looks like a question of Council?

    Thank you

    Vincent

    Hi Vincent

When you set the BIOS to default settings is the problem persists? Another SATA drive recognized, or not?

It is not easy to say what the problem is, but maybe is the faulty disk controller.

  • Need to format the drive due to some problems and having to reinstall Windows 7. I could use the same product key

    Original title: Windows 7

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP 1 that have previously been installed then bought my laptop. Product key number is fixed under the laptop.

I need to format my drive due to some problems and having to reinstall Windows 7. can I use the same product key and where can I get the installer of Windows 7 because I don't have it.

    Thank you

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?

Make sure you scroll down and read the section:

What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?

  • HP Pavilion dv4130us - requires the video controller driver to clear the problem of Device Manager

Any help would be appreciated. Have owned the laptop since birth. Update memory & HDD for patches of bloatware to Uncle Bill. Naoual need a video driver to resolve the problem of video hardware acceleration. I tried HP detects online etc, no video is available, would use the XP version, but HP will not install it because it is an unsupported operating system?

    Hello:

I'm not quite clear what operating system you are running.

If you are using XP, you then this video driver:

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=447371&prodNameId=447348&swEnvOID=1093&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-52779-1

If you're running Vista, then you need this one.

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=447371&prodNameId=447348&swEnvOID=2096&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-47264-1

If you are running windows 7, run the Vista driver above. It will error out (give an unsupported OS message, I believe).  Close the error window.

Now, go into your device manager. Click on standard vga controller. Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver. Select the browse my computer for the software method and navigate to C:\SWSetup\sp34749. Make sure that the include subfolders is selected, and the driver should install.

Graphics card in your PC isn't completely Vista or W7 capable. You should now have hardware acceleration and be able to change your maximum permitted by your LCD screen resolution, but you won't have Aero.

  • Aspire installation Ubuntu V3 - 772 g problem

I recently bought an Aspire V3 - 772 g and I now want to install Ubuntu as second operating system. I've already replaced Win8 with Win7 and reconfigure the disk on the MBR instead of TPG to do and also disabled Secure Boot and switched to Legacy Boot.

I had the image of Ubuntu 12.04 official website and created a Live USB Stick using Unetbootin. I installed Ubuntu with Win7 on my desktop already using this stick and had no problem with it.

I can start my netbook with this stick and get into the menu where I can choose between installing Ubuntu, trying without installation, etc, but then the problems start. As soon as I press any key on the keyboard, the laptop freezes. The LED on the USB key stops flashing and remains lit permanently in place. When I left the countdown number down to zero, to make it use the default selection, a cursor flashing ("_") appears below, but other than that nothing happening (the USB LED also on stying apartment). In both cases, I have the laptop manually for use again at the stop.

Anyone have any idea what the problem might be or suggestion/manual to install Ubuntu on Notepad using any other way?

(I already consider switching to UEFI/GPT, but before I resort to such drastic methods I wanted to try to find something less scary)

Apparently, the problem was really the unetbootin bootloader. I was able to install using the stick life of Rufus. Always had a small problem with a black screen (solved by 'nomodeset') and gparted/Ubuntu-install not seeing my existing partitions (because Windows is not able to convert correctly on the MBR... corrected through this), but now it seems to work smoothly.

  • Acer Aspire 5100 Windows 8.1 problems (64-bit)

    Hello Acer users,.

my mother has an Acer Aspire 5100 and is happy with it so far. I installed an SSD hard drive and Windows 64-bit from 8.1 to it (fresh). Now, she is very happy that the machine is very fast. Allthough there are new problems that accompanies the installation and I'm not happy with them. They are as follows (all drivers related questions I guess, no driver in Windows update or on Acer site):

1 - memory card reader does not work and does not appear in the Explorer. Device manager shows 3 x peripheral problem which are the memory card reader. Which brand is?

2 - WIFI does not work (says network adapter), have not yet tried to download and install the drivers from the website of Atheros, will try this next time I visit him. Poster 1 x peripheral problem device manager which I guess is the WIFI because the machine can access internet through wired adapter.

3 - display is fixed (cannot be changed) at a resolution of 1024 x 768 and it can do better, but can not be changed. Downloaded and installed Catalys control center, but this has changed a lot and I do not see anywhere to change the resolution from there. Only several screens etc.

4 - adapter displays in the Device Manager to 200M and it should be Ati Radeon Xpress 1100?

But other than these problems, Windows 64-bit of 8.1 works great and especially with the SSD is very fast. And can recommend to you all =)

Well, if you can help me on this issue. I guess that Acer can not make drivers before they get the manufacturers driver.

  • Acer Aspire V3 722 G several problems due to a BIOS update

As I wrote in the title, I have an Acer Aspire V3 772 G computer laptop and recently he acted strange regarding the overheating and stuttering eventhough I clean it regularly and she should not do any of those at all, I keep everything updated, everything except the BIOS that is, so I searched, I discovered that some people got rid of these same problems with a simple update of the BIOS. So I decided to do the same thing, found good download, made sure it was for my model, but I must have missed something because after the update has been (apparently successful) fact, the computer restarted, but after the Acer splash screen, a message appeared that said 'by default boot device missing or impossible start' and after pressing Enter, it takes me to a screen where I should be able to choose a boot device, but there is no device to choose and the only way out of this is to unplug the laptop and restart it. After many hours of trying to figure out why the update failed and how to recover the BIOS and either try to reinstall the most recent roll to the other older, I accidentally discovered that I could access the BIOS settings part, where I could see the information on the laptop itself and BIOS (curiously It says that the version is the most recent 1.15) and the other parameters such as order of device boot and BIOS password, but some options are grayed out and inaccessible for me (e.g. factory reset). So as soon as now, I don't know if I've messed up in the first place or if it's something completely different (since I wasn't able to find a person who had the same problem) and would be very grateful for any help.

    Thanks in advance

Go into your Bios Startup tab and see if it changed your startup mode.

  • Aspire mouse usb and 603G problems

    Aspire 603G, win 8.1

With the help of the optical mouse NSB

I have problems with my mouse plugged in by USB.  The mouse will panic at random and I don't know how to fix it. When I click on a link in Google Chrome, it will open several pages.  If I am in a program, XCom enemy unknown, for example and click to move, shoot, or no matter what, he'll just keep clicking.  Other programs are the same.  Sometimes, maybe 2 out of 10 times, the mouse didn't not fit which is which is clicked, then it will be * taken * upward and I'm having a crazy amount of screens open. Try closing some tabs and eventually close all cause them the mutli-random clicks mouse.  So boring.

I tried to go into the options of the mouse on the control panel and change the double click speed, but it's not helping. I moved the mouse to several usb ports and have the same problem.

Thought it was the mouse, tried 2 other different brands and having the same problem.  Tried to uninstall and don't reboot, no help.  The only problem I see is the mouse uses a default Windows driver dated 2004, but Windows Update tells me that it is the most recent.

Any help to limit what the issue is, or can be, will be appreciated.  I'm drowned in the tabs of the browser here.

  • Acer Aspire 7750 g USB system problem

Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 7750 G computer laptop, I bought some time ago. I never had any problems with it, but in the last month, the USB ports stopped working. Any port that I use, is the same: the device driver could not be installed. When I try to upgrade the driver or reinstall, access is denied occurs, even for a device such as a USB mouse. The thing is that this problem occurs only on Windows. I also use CentOS Linux x86_64 6.5, and the USB ports work ok, so clearly, it's a software problem (Windows). The first time I've encountered this error, I have reinstalled Windows, but the error is now back.

I installed Windows 7 Professional 64 bit myself, downloaded and installed the drivers from the site acer and Windows, it is updated. Can you help me please? I'll give you all the necessary details. Thank you.

I found the solution to my problem. The virtual disk service (vds) was arrested, and it has been marked with manual start, which means that he never began, and all my USB devices ware using this service. I hope this will help others.

  • Aspire 4730Z wireless network card problem

My internet connection suddenly stopped wireless adapter. He pointed out that my wireless router cannot connect to the internet. However, I know this isn't the case since all my other devices connect via the same router. The same thing happens when I plug into the ethernet cable.

Sometimes, he says that the IP configuration is wrong on the router. I wonder if something happened to the Aspire that it prevents to read the IP configuration, and the error message is an error of interpretation of this problem.

I would discuss with support on this point, but my series/snid number rubbed on the label, and I don't know what it is.

I had already tried these suggestions. Here's what worked - I downloaded and installed version 8.1 of Windows driver for the card. So far, Microsoft update he crushed once more, but now that I have the installation of the adapter installed on my desktop, it's easy to put the old one back. Apparently 10 Windows is not stable drivers for all Broadco / Atheros adapters again. It's the wrong Microsoft adapter driver in Windows update that caused the problem. To fix it, visit the website of your computer manufacturer and download and install version 8.1 of Windows.
