ASUS USB2.0 Webcam not recognized by Skype 6.18.0.106

Hello members of the Skype community.

given that I've updated Skype to the latest version 6.18.0.106, Skpype said that no camera was found that makes me unable to make video calls. In the previous version, my camera has worked without any problems. As a solution, I installed previous version of Skype, but since Skype is smart enough to detect not being is not up-to-date, it kept connect. I have some ideas how to solve my problem.

My computer spec:
ASUS N46VZ
Intel i7-3610QM
8 GB RAM
Intel HD4000 & GeForce GT 650M
ASUS USB2.0 Webcam
Windows 7 Home Premium

Best

Try to uninstall the currently installed version and install Skype 6.14.0.104 version:

If this will still not help then uninstall the version 6.18 and install the 6.14.0.104 old version of Skype.

  • Logitech C310 Webcam not recognized

I have a Mac Mini from 2012 which I just upgraded to Sierra. Everything went well except the webcam, a Logitech C310, is not recognized by the operating system. He keeps his identification as "unknown device". It doesn't seem to work properly, but I fear that it is not properly recognized by the operating system.

    Hello

I recommend first load default settings in the BIOS. Save these settings, exit the BIOS and restart your laptop.

Then, make sure that the latest driver for the Toshiba webcam is installed. You can download it on the Toshiba site.
In addition, it would be advisable to install the latest version of the BIOS. Visit the Toshiba page!

In the worst case if you have the same problem after reinstalling the Toshiba Recovery disk it associated material s. This means that you should contact an authorized service provider. Guys can check the mobile and exchange equipment (webcam, cable or something else). Just get in touch with the guys and ask for help. From my own experience, I can say that they always try to help you as best we can.

    Good luck! :)

  • Satellite M200 - Chicony webcam not compatible with Skype

    Greetings!

I have a Satellite M200 series and my Webcam Chicony works very well with YM. When I tried to use it on Skype, he'll tell me that "Skype has not found video source preferred. Webcam can be used in another application. Then I tried to move to the tools in Skype and checked the video settings, I changed the cam of default for a Chicony USB 2.0, still the same error message. The next thing I did was open the software assistant camera, but by clicking on the buttons will do nothing. I can open the device itself. So, I updated the device driver in Device Manager and the result is that I had the best and the last driver installed. Still not working in Skype.

Any suggestions? I'll be very grateful for any help. Thank you.

    Hello

I think that Skype is one of the best applications to work with the webcam. I use it on the first day of purchase and there is no problem at all.
What you can do is to restart your laptop, switch-webcam help software, start the Skype and try to configure the webcam in Skype settings again.

He has to work. It works on my Satellite P200 and my Satellite U400 friends. He has to work in your case too.

Most likely the module webcam up upstairs behind the screen bezel went wrong. Very common. Other scenarios, such as the bad cable are possible, but not probable. The webcam module is so cheap that it pays to just buy one and try it first before you pull out your hair with other possible solutions:

  • Webcam not recognized in Windows XP with VMware Fusion

I use VMware Fusion 2.0 on a Macbook Pro with Windows XP.  I've been using Yahoo Messenger with the iSight webcam and I think I accidently deleted the icon at the bottom of the VMware window and now the web cam is not recognized in Windows at all.  The iSight camera works just fine under MacOS, but I can't find how to do Windows or VMware recognizes the camera.  I guess I could reinstall VMware and it might solve the problem but I'm looking for an easier route when it exists. Someone at - it a similar problem?

    Thank you

    Dennis

Have you checked the settings of your virtual machine to see if the isight is activated must be forwarded to the VM?  You might consider checking or setting these options under usb.  Also if you have version 2.0 only then you can consider update 2.0.5 before reinstalling VMware.

  • Webcam not found by SKYPE running in a mobile HP6555b running W10 pro 64-bit

SKYPE ran fine under W7 pro 64-bit, but now that I've updated to W10 pro 64-bit SKYPE does not see the built-in webcam. The Device Manager shows the webcam under States that it works correctly and imaging devices. What should I do to make SKYPE see.

I went there where you said to go and download the driver package. I ran it and dxdiag and he is still also display ageneric. I'm sorry to say that SKYPE and W10 do not play well together and W10 seems to be still in version beta with all people who apply the upgrade. I give up and return to W7 where everything worked well.

Thank you for your efforts to try to solve my problem, but the compatibility between the software and the operating system and the hardware is just not there with W10.
