audio capture
I do not search this Board first, but could not find an adequate response, which would be a good hardware DAQ to use to capture a signal from an audio amplifier for the measurement of noise and distortion. I'm building an amp for me so did not not a budget of manufactured goods. I was thinking about using a HP frequency generator to capture a very clean waveform and then compare this after that amplification using Labview built in functions. I have Labview 8.6 SE
Thank you!
Alan
I have not read through each link. I just found with a quick Google search and scanned them quickly.
I don't see your response as sarcastic at all. I know all too well how ugly hardware audio consumer PC. However, I think it might be quite appropriate to digitize a signal _error_, since the required loyalty is very less than that required for the measurement of the signals of interest directly. The method I mentioned has the additional advantage of being insensitive to the distortion of the signal from the source, so you can be able to use audio PC in order to predict that, as well.

Audio capture lost "what you hear" of conexant
I have a laptop HP Pavilion DV2278ea under Vista 32 bit, and have all the updates of the BONE apart from those announced in the past weeks. I recently updated the software for the integrated sound card Conexant High Definition for 08 August last version 4.36.7.60 C. Everything seemed fine until I came to do an audio capture of a stream on the internet using Roxio. Only one capture device listed was the microphone - it used to be the one who said Conexant Audio "what hear it" to capture anything the speakers. Review of the sounds in the control panel the only recording device is the microphone. Sound works very well in both internal and external speakers. I tried rolling back the drivers but its still the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
OK, that had me crazy for the last few days, but I found the solution:
Selections from the input Source to record Windows Vista for recording audio streaming, media players or anything you can hear coming through your speakers are hidden from view and people disabled by default. (I'm sorry - but why!?) )
If your audio card/system support recording streaming audio input Source selections such as: stereo mix, What U Hear, Wave Out Mix, vague or a similar selection, here what you need to do to activate for the record:
Right click on your speaker icon in the system tray, (near the clock), select "recording devices".
In the acoustic window that opens up, near the top, select the TAB "recording".
Move your cursor where the devices are displayed.
Right-click in the empty white box and select "show disabled devices".
Support, new selections will appear such as: stereo mix, What U Hear, etc. Click right on "Stereo Mix", "What U Hear" or similar and select 'enable '.
Right-click on the same new item and select "Set as default device". Click OK.
Now in the Options of the recorder in the "Input Source" box, you should have the "Stereo Mix", "What U Hear" or similar source available to select for recording streaming, etc.
(You can also activate other selections hidden such as Microphone, Line In, etc, if they are not already displayed).

Audio capture on Simulator does not
I am writing an application that captures the sounds. He has used the technique described in the javadoc for RecordControl. My code works fine when it is installed on my Curve 8330. But when run on the Simulator, it seems to work, but no data is never written to the record output stream (suggests that the Simulator is not my microphone audio routing).
I'm under BlackBerry JDE plug-in for Eclipse and the BlackBerry JDE v4.5 component Pack. I tried all the profiles profiles 8300 Simulator and no capture any sound. I rechecked my microphone is not muted, and other applications to record on my WinXP box actually capture sound.
Is this something that should work in the Simulator? I have to configure something to give the access the audio in Windows JVM Simulator?
I think I have solved my problem. Last night, I restarted eclipse and everything started working as expected.
Honestly, I don't know why this correction of the problem but have a hint. I started eclipse earlier in the data via a Remote Desktop Session. I don't know the details of how the JVM determines with the source sound/sinks are available. But I imagine that the process of the eclipse didn't see any sound source because I was connected via RDP. And it took a reboot once directly connected so he can see all IO ports.

I am trying to capture my audio system and I can't get Cp8 to do exactly this. I am running the latest version of Cp8 on my MBP OS X 10.9.5. I opened a new video demo, with selected audio system, with or without a microphone. The microphone will very well, capture any audio system.
I have a request to capture a few Skype interview and Tuesday, any help will be great!
Thanks in advance

CS4 Audio Capture / Questions
Just installed CS4 Production Premium on a new HP Z800 workstation. 64-bit Windows 7 is the operating system. Premiere CS4 updated to 4.2.1. I shoot in HDV 720/60 p format. The RT update. Matrox X 2 is also installed in the system to deal with 720/60 p.
Capture of questions:
1 - does anyone capture and edit MPEG files and you have any problem what do I do?
2. in CS3, all video files have been captured and edited as Matrox AVI files. Is there a way to do it using CS4? When you attempt to capture 720/60 p in format AVI Matrox video is fine, but there is no audio. Does anyone know how organize settings for capturing audio during capture in an AVI file?
Thank you.
Spencer
Re: Capture in Matrox AVI, make sure that your settings in the screen capture are set up correctly.
1. the capture format should be set to Matrox AVI;
2 then set the audio, making that channel 1-2 is selected. All this is in the configuration of Matrox AVI settings on the capture screen.

Pavilion: Sound card for audio capture
Don't know model #. The control panel in his says my default device's stereo IDT High Def Audio CODEC. Indicates the line to IDT HD Audio CODEC is not plugged in (under the heading says currently unavailable rear mic and mic)
I have a jack online, but who goes to the speakers who plays what is already on the PC. I tried to put an Audiology Sound Blaster card in the motherboard, but it does not fit. (The motherboard is IMP87-MP)

Audio capture in Quicktime 7.6
These latest auto update Itunes & Quicktime 7.6 (04/02/2011) causing audio cutting in on MOV Quicktime format files, after 01:00 minute usage. Cutting does not occur when watching a streaming mov inside of IE 8, normal plays, also plays in iTunes OK, only in stand-alone, Quicktime clips out audio & video stops after 1 minute of the game. Cannot find patches on the Apple Web sites. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Windows XP SP3, 4 GB of RAM, IE 8.
Problem solved... my bad, has noticed. When you save files pedagogical .mov on my HD for some reason, some of these files have not been recorded in their size of ful. Like a 22 MB download file was recorded only as a 5 MB mov file, so try to play the file in Quicktime format, after 1 minute of image cutting and start. Found about 6 files that I had downloaded with this error... it is profitable to check the size of the file you downloaded is the same, as shown in the download window...
Thank you... WinnerTee

Audio capture for purpose of demonstration...
One of my developers a problem reproducible randomly with check-in demo mode in captivate. Usually happens in Visual Studio 2008, the event record set, and all recording works perfectly, record audio, where the last 5% or more are cut completely at the end of the event.
I am at a loss to explain it, or find a solution for it, as there seems to be no specific trigger for this. It works sometimes, others you end up reshooting the last slides 1-2. Not huge, but a bit boring pain undermines a quarter of an hour with each roll forward.
Doesn't seem not serious if something is clicked after audio suspends, or you stop recording through the end key or clicking captivate in the taskbar.Works perfectly in captivate 3 with the exception of the trim bug, I found a fix for, you should look, because it is so perfectly integrated, that it's almost automatic. Record in separate files in this case would produce an excessive amount of work, is no longer justifiable. The main reason I went with captivate is he gave me a my developer tool didn't need to learn that they could do whatever they had to in it with three clicks on the button. I thought go to audition or even a tape recorder integrated to accomplish the same thing, but I found that it added too much complication to the process.
Solution:
Captivate 3 has apparently no method to check in the form of active data, so, when you are finished recording, it simply clips its judgment at the previous recordable event. An easy way to ensure that this does not happen is to click on save button in the application that you save before hitting the end (end of record).

(Ezcap) audio capture USB adapter
I'm trying to transfer the sound from the cassette tape to a cd via my laptop. Initially, I tried with a simple 3.5 jack plug, connect a tape player and the laptop via the headphone jack on the cassette player and plug mic on the laptop. It worked, but the quality was very poor. So I got one of these cards and my laptop recognizes and says it has installed equipment and the light on this topic - but it does not - or something does not work. There is no sound. I tried again with just the simple Jack 3.5 and works always (badly), but with the adapter (which I have to connect using the 3.5 cable), none. I tried with both the audacity software that comes with it and also the recorder of basic sounds on my windows XP laptop (which is what I did before). any ideas? Thank you
Here is a guideline to follow:

I can't control audio in the capture window.
When I'm in the (last updated) first Pro CC capture window I can't monitor audio. I use a BlackMagic Decklink SDI 4 K capture card. I capture images from a video tape Panasonic AJ-HD1400.
I can control the bridge and see the video in the capture window, but I can't control the audio. When I capture the video and play on the timeline audio is here. It's frustrating not being able to control the audio when you connect footage.
Any suggestions?
I found the answer of BlackMagic Support - here their proofreading:
Please contact us. Unfortunately, we do not have the correct setting configuration to have audio capture first to play audio from your system. However, we can tell you that the map SDI output is equipped with video and audio that you capture. So, if you are able to take the card SDI output to a monitor that supports audio embedded, then you should be able to monitor audio and video, it.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Incoming audio levels can be adjusted for digital video capture in Premiere Pro?
Incoming audio levels can be adjusted for digital video capture in Premiere Pro? Or is the audio in digital images a fixed entity that cannot be adjusted once it is imported into an editing software? Recently, I have captured 14 hours the Strip that constantly weak but usable audio levels. I couldn't see a way to set audio levels in the capture Panel, so I just left with just the default settings.
It is possible that the lessee of his experience on the production has been conservative with its levels; they constantly peaking at nearly 9 meters of first, instead of more desirable 12. But because they are so compatible, I wonder if I missed an option to set audio capture of levels when I did the band.
The levels are defined. In the way - 9 on the first meters are stronger than-12

How to capture (record) streaming video online with his partner is on El Capitan?
Someone can advise or recommend including many different programs available that I must use to capture (record) streaming video online with it's associated audio on El Capitan? I tried MacX DVD Converter Pro, but believe it or not, it does not record the audio aspect of video stream. They claim there is a work around, but after 3 days of trying various corrections, none seems to work for me.
I tried the Safe Mode Terminal command string: turn off the csrutil. restart, but which did not allow audio capture of MacX DVD Converter Pro driver to install their Audio System driver.
I tried sudo nvram boot-args = "kext-dev = 1 mode" method, but then again, playback of the recorded video was silent, even though I have heard the audio during recording. "
I downloaded SOUNDFLOWER, but again, I have heard audio when the screenshot, but Quicktime playback was silent.
I have hard to believe after that 3 days I am still unable to record what I see and hear at the same time on my screen a video streaming like a Charlie Rose interview with Martin Scorcese discussing Felini. I don't like what it costs; I care only about the easy, professional and perfect results. One of the two reasons why I BOUGHT this iMac 27 "with El Capitan was so I COULD record streaming video with audio if I choose so, and after a month, I still can't do and I ran out of the online help after searching dozens of sites to find answers! So I now turn to the Apple community. Thank you!

No audio device input on the Satellite L100-120
Hello!
I have laptop Satellite L100-120. I have install audio capture device problem. Sound works fine, but there is no (disabled in the sound Manager) audio input device.I have Windows XP SP3 installed.
audio driver is sound-psla0-xp-31100
any ideas?
Hello
already tried the real sounddrivers of conexant? Maybe your audio input device work after you have installed the card driver its manufacturer.
Another reason could be the SP3 which additionally brings the benefits some driver has problems with, would also be an option to check for some patches microsoft knowledge base or workarounds.
Just search for driver audio conexant and maybe you'll find something.Welcome them

Alternating the problem of Capture DV Mono or stereo
I'm captures old video tapes digital (not analog bands although it happened there also) in v.2015.4 Premier Pro. From a single band that I captured several segments. The video is very good, in all but one of the only audio capture happens on a single 16-bit stereo channel as it should, but in the first capture of the Ribbon comes on 4 different channels 16-bit - Mono 4. Channels 1 and 2 are probably L & R tracks although I see no difference in the waveforms. Chanel 3 and 4 are empty. The original recording is in stereo. It is a bit of a pain because two audio tracks need to be adjusted independently and not as a single setting performing simultaneously the two L & R. I can miss some audio information too. Is there a way to set capture and audio settings always comes as a simple stereo channels, I can't find. Or?
Help appreciated.
Greg
It is a good alternative. Thank you.
But I think that I thought about it. I got to thinking a little deeper and more logically. It is only the beginning of a capture of Ribbon and remains so through the balance of this particular shot, no matter how long. In addition, I realized it only happens when I start the initially absolute capture of the band, on the head or the Virgin band HDDR. When I moved the band on a spot just a few images in the recorded video real audio capture although stereo. As I think about it, it makes perfect sense. There is a signature on the tape for audio, or mono or stereo, as the capture begins. The default value must be mono that it holds in all of the capture.
Problem solved.
