Audio commentary on the buttons of quiz

Is it possible to add audio commentary to a generated quiz button automatically when it was clicked e, g the button submit, cancel button etc?

I put audio comments on smart buttons form via advanced actions, but a tip action cannot be assigned to keys above.

If not is there a way to make a smart shape button in a submit button?

Thank you very much

Objects embedded in the quiz slides, those who do not have a separate calendar, differ from normal interactive objects. There is no real difference between the normal buttons and form buttons as you seem to say it at all, just between the embedded buttons with specific features and the regular buttons. There is no way to replace a button quiz by a button of form at the moment, but that would not change the way they act.

If you want audio, you can attach to the legends of feedback (success, failure) or put them in actions that are triggered by the submit button: measures of success and the last attempt. More details:

  • Latest Dell Audio is missing the button 'Show meters. (Windows 10, Dell XPS 8700)

    EDIT: Rewritten for clarity

    Driver Realtek ALC3861 Audio (worm) 6.0.1.7525, A00 for Windows 10, it is no longer a button labeled 'Show meters' under speakers/Headphones > Maxx Pro Audio in the lower right corner (see attached screenshot). This button in previous versions of the driver for Windows 7 opens a new window with sliders to balance the front speakers and rear in a surround Setup.

    What I did:

    Update my OS 7 to 10 and set to update drivers Realtek audio as a result - to the version mentioned above.

    What I expected:

    The button 'Show meters' would be present in the most recent driver Realtek.

    What really happened:

    After the upgrade to the latest driver, the 'Show meters' button is gone.

    I reinstalled the latest driver several times and nothing helps and tried the driver from Windows 8.1 and by default with Realtek with worse affects (Audio Dell window missing most of the items/drop options, etc.)

    If anyone would know how to solve the problem, if it is intentional, or that worsen it, I would appreciate it.

    I think I should be more careful. In Control Panel > Sound > playback > select the Realtek device > properties > levels there are specific changes, I need. I don't know why I didn't notice until now. Could explain why there was no button 'Show meters"in this version, but I thought that Windows 7 has also had the same upgrade and there was audio Dell upgrade as well.

    I'll still with a new soundcard from Creative, however, saw a $70 super nice which looks great and seems to have features to match.

  • Audio attached to the button "submit" plays at the beginning of the slide

    I created a text box with a "submit" button. When someone types in their response and clicks submit, text comments will appear and an audio excerpt explains the answer. I have attached the audio, the button submit, but when I go through the project that it plays as soon as the slide appears, not after the answer to the question. He does not appear in the timeline panel, but played when I go to the Audio tab of the submit button. As an aside, the audio on the success and failure of the feedback will be the same. Does make a difference? Should I attach audio to the legends of f/b?

    Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    PS - the Captiv8er - you were so help kind it has everyone (me)! THX!

    Well, how about that? I am answering my own question...!

    With more tests, I found that if I join the audio for the legends of success or failure, she plays after the answer to the question. The audio was playing when the slide appeared first of all because I loose to the Submit button, which is visible from the beginning of the slide.

    Thank you, me! (Maybe I'm starting to find it?...)

  • stop audio and start another audio, click on the button

    Hello
    I have a document from multiple slides, and I want sound to stop when they click on the button 'Next' and another clip to start. Here's what I have so far:

    audio
    x = new Sound();
    x.attachSound ("Slide1");
    x.Start (0, 0);
    musicplay = true;
    forward_btn.onRelease = function() {}
    gotoAndStop("2");
    numbering numbering EQ ++;
    };

    So I just want to play audio clip "Slide2" when they click on forward_btn, and I want to "Slide1" to stop.

    Thank you!

    Attach your file his second to the frame that will play the second noise. Then try to add stopAllSounds() before the gotoAndStop("2"); to get the first sound to stop playing and then play the second sound.

  • How to add click on the button/box QUIZ slides?

    We have a core questionnaire for our online courses. In the upper part of the quiz, we have a navigation bar with the other back, main menu, help, etc that we use a click box to make a link.

    However, when we are on a slide of questionnaire option box and click button are grayed. You can access them at all. How we solve this problem? We HAVE to have the navigation bar is functional as it is for the rest of the slides. Help!

    Will captivate you cannot add additional buttons, or click on the boxes for quiz slides.

    On Quiz slides, you can use the standard questionnaire slide buttons. It is a feature of the software, but a feature never less.

  • Adobe Captivate Advanced - 8 Actions trigger an event after that audio connected to a button has finished playing

    Hi all.  I use Adobe Captivate 8 on Windows.  I have a slide that has 2 buttons.  The buttons are placed in advanced actions, when you click on it to play an audio file and display the text, and then set the variable key 1, clicked.  The button are similar functions and can be clicked in any order.  When you click on the two buttons, I need to read an audio of conclusion.

    My problem is that once the second button is clicked, select what action starts immediately, as the two buttons were clicked and the condition is now filled.  I need to finish reading the audio second-clicked the button before she turns to the next action, and no matter what I try it doesn't work!  Major frustration!  If you need me to post any screen shots, please let me know.  Thanks in advance,

    Mike

    You must use conditional Actions, not simple actions.  With a Standard action or conditional button does not automatically frees the timeline AFTER it has been clicked.

    You must also configure the tracking variables so that your conditional Action will be able to determine whether or not the two buttons were clicked and that's why the audio file should be placed accordingly.

  • The button Reset/Restart or script

    Hi there, here once again with another Captivate 5 questinon Martin

    Im still struggling with my new project. I have prepared a few projecst of training mode for my colleagues... There are some slides with clickboxes that are part of the Quiz (awarded with points).

    I have to, somehow, after finishing project as a whole (in the end he is seen blade from a Quiz with max points, accuracy etc) Add button or script to restart the project (points to erase and restore the settings of clickboxes) for the user to be able to resume full training project.

    Can you help me? (standard quiz "button recovery" does not work)

    Thanks, Martin

    You mention that you have added the button Retake Quiz in the Quiz results slide, but attempts how have you allowed for the overall Quiz?  Have you added the button return to by setting the user allow multiple attempts at the Quiz: switch failure of dialogue screen, then click on view button back?  Or you confuse the Retake Quiz button with the touch of revision Quiz?  The names are very similar and easily mistaken at first glance.

    If you have your quiz the value that one attempt (by default), that it does not change the score, even if you do not have the buttons allows 3 attempts.

  • CP6 - need to add an audio button on quiz slides to "read aloud the question."

    CP6 - need to add an audio button on quiz slides to "read aloud the question." Most of our target audience is younger (grade 1-5) and provide more accurate results, if each question is 'read' for them. Of course there are big players in the Pack, but the option should be available to listen to the question and not have to read it. Therefore, there is a button to trigger the audio on every issue. Ideas?

    You don't need a button. Just add a legend of the question bearing slides a sound add you the portion of the legend. You can hide the legend by making it transparent.

  • Configure button disabled on the playback device, manage audio devices. How can I reactivate the button Configure?

    Hi, following an automatic update of Windows Vista 64-bit I have no sound. Thank you for that.   I had a similar problem before, the sound quality has been reduced to a rate lower than 16 bit 44.1 k.  I've changed this before clicking on the button configure on the playback device, manage audio devices.  But now, this button is disabled and I can't check the set up or make changes.  I am logged in as an administrator user, how to re - activate the button set up?

  • Custom theme lose the buttons send in the quiz

    Hello

    I have a theme that I made for a customer and only altered slide masters they used. The button publish (with the keys skip etc.) are all there in the master slide, and they show on every slide of issue they have, but when I click on preview this slide, or publish, as soon as you get to the quiz, there is not button Submit. The theme projects have been created on a computer and uploaded to a Google Drive folder. The customer has bought the Captivate and uploaded files (originally it did not download the theme, but has since begun from scratch - downloaded again any project and theme) of the reader, edited and sent them back. When I opened the projects, quiz slides and slides model has the Submit button, yet project overview (or editing by the way) are not there send buttons.

    I think it's a matter of topic, but I can't understand what is happening. The project has only been to Captivate 9 I know - the customer has recently purchased Captivate, and my version is up-to-date.

    Interestingly, I changed the theme to a standard embedded theme of Captivate and the Send button appears in the preview of the question slides. Should I create another theme from scratch, and then import it to each project? What went wrong initially - if it was the fact that he had not downloaded the theme I think which would break things, but then it picked up completely from scratch. Is there a difficulty without creating a new theme from scratch? PreviewExample SlideMaster

    Since the buttons send return when you change the theme to one of the standard ones found in Captivate, I would say that you definitely need to recreate your custom theme.

    I don't know what was wrong originally.  Captivate would not have worked at all for your customer unless there was at least some basic default themes, it can access.

    Now, the important thing is that you get an another theme created.  One of the other default themes Captivate is to base on.  The empty theme is generally offered for it, but there was a reported issue last week on the forum on this topic, then perhaps choose a different this time out.

  • The button file Download not audio pause

    Hi all,.

    I build a project where there is a set of button "open URL or file.  I said the file to open in a new tab and unchecked the "continue to play the project' checkbox.  When the button is clicked, the blade stops, but the audio for the slide does not pause.  I know that people have dealt with this, but I can't seem to find decent instructions on how others have dealt with this.  Can someone guide me in the right direction?

    thakns

    Sorry for a late replay, but I first wanted to check a possible solution.

    I verified the functionality of the 'continue play project', with F12 and F11 when you use a simple action (from the drop-down list in the Actions tab) 'open a URL or file '.  The number of attempts for the button is located at infinity. I found that:

    • F12 (for SWF output) when you click the button the first time, the slide audio stops as expected;  When you click once (before the point of suspension of the button) the slide audio will not stop, only the blade is paused.
    • F11 (for HTML output): the slide audio continues to play, even for the first click.

    After the publication, this seems to be the same, but I did not download the HTML version on a webserver (my bad).

    To provide a solution that works for both SWF and HTML output: replace the simple action by a short tip action (you could turn it into a joint action with the URL or the file as parameter):

    It works as you expect: slide audio is still suspended.

  • Quiz the button continue, not to jump to the slide properly

    Hi again,

    I have another problem.

    I work inScreen Shot 2016-04-25 at 1.07.25 PM.png

    On a Mac

    Screen Shot 2016-04-25 at 1.07.41 PM.png

    I have done this in other projects and not had a problem like what I find now. I also cross referenced to make sure all my settings are the same.

    I have a quiz in my project and after the slides, I have two slides more. One with a message for the passage and the other for the failure. After the student take the quiz and passes or fails them, they then click on the "Continue" button and proceed to their respective slides.

    The problem I have is that after clicking on the "Continue" button with a score of default, slide play a bit and then stops. It will not advance to the next slide, and it will not go back. I guess it could be described as the freezing point. If I close and then again with a pass mark, the "Continue" button will change to the correct slide with no break. If I spend two autour slides in the film the button display 'Continue' does not to either.

    Is anyway to fix this? Here is a screenshot of my pass/fail options in Quiz preferences

    I read somewhere that it might be the result of a corruption on this slide. Anyway is to remove the automatic slide in the Quiz results and make a new one?

    You can change the desired option back to optional? There are other ways to force the user to take questions, but you ask Pass! This may be the reason for the questions.

  • The Quiz, the Quiz on revision and the button "next".

    Sought and did not quite find all solutions to a topical issue that I found just that... troubleshooting classes something not at all related.

    In any case, here's what I have:

    • Quiz slides do not contain the button 'next' or 'back '.  Only the 'clear' and 'submit' buttons are activated
    • The quiz requires a minimum pass mark.  A failure, the "quiz of recovery" button, button "review quiz" and the button "continue" are displayed
    • By clicking on the 'resume quiz' button works as expected with zero problems
    • By clicking on the "review quiz" button works as expected with the learner to the first slide of quiz

    Here's the question.  With the 'next' button disabled on the slide of questionnaire, the learner is not able to advance after the first slide of quiz, so to get stuck and have to go out the window.  Not sure if I'm missing something.  I did a lot of quizzes with a required pass mark and have not had this problem in the past.  Is it possible to have the 'next' button disabled on the slide of questionnaire but enabled for the revision of the quiz slide?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Go to the display of the slide master and find the master slide for each particular type of quiz slide.  Select the button Delete in the master slide and you should find that the toolbar alignment options become active, allowing you to bring to the top of the stacking order.

    When you return to the display of the slide, normal, is the clear button now on top?

  • Leave the button to play the audio only twice

    I am building an assessment of the foreign language with audio passages that the user must listen to then answer two questions about this. The user can play the audio twice. But even if I put 2 number of attempts, when I tested it, I was able to play the audio unlimited times. What is the trick?

    play audio only twice.jpg

    You seem to misunderstand the 'attempts' to an interactive object, will attempt to clarify. It does not limit the number of clicks ON the interactive object (here a button), but saying how many attempts can be 'impossible', which means clicking outside of the object. For your use case failure action would never happen, because the user always clicks the button, never outside it. Even with the project to continue that left you for the action failure: never happens.

    For the successful action, you use the command Play Audio, with project to continue unchecked: This means that the user can click several times, the playback head was never released, and audio can be played as many times as you want. The solution is to use a conditional, tip action (not a standard action because you want to allow 2 attempts, sorry David - TLCMediaDesign) and a counter variable. Here are the steps:

    • Set a user variable v_attempts with a default value of 2
    • Create a tip action to be triggered by the button that looks like this:

    It is always prudent to turn off the button before you hide it. Or you can just keep turn it off. This action also allows you to show the attempts left in a container of text:

    1. Before the first click: v_counter = 2
    2. After all, first, click on: v_counter = 1
    3. After the second click: v_counter = 0 and since it is more possible to click, there's = 0; This is important because CP is not very mathematical mind, does not see the difference between a negative and a positive number.

    It is also very easy to change the number of retries by simply changing the default value. Think it will be one of the (easy) scripts in my recipe book future actions. TNX for the question.

  • Captivate 8, then the button quiz

    I created a questionnaire in 8 Captivate and everything is fine, except... the user answers a question, and then submit clicks. We told them if it's good or bad, then says to click on the next button. I don't want them to be able to click Next without answering the question. So in Quiz > settings, I put the required field to "respond to everything - the user must answer each question to continue.» It works, but it clears up the button next, so that it looks almost gray. I thought that perhaps he would return to the color after clicking on send, but it doesn't. It works as I want, but I don't want the next button to be the lightest color - I want the Green full as it is supposed to be. Any thoughts? I took the right approach? Other suggestions? Basically I want the user to have to answer the question before moving on to the next question. Thanks for your help!

    For question slides, the next button has a dual functionality:

    1. During the Quiz, that it acts as a "Skip" button, do you want?
    2. It is necessary during the review, as it will act as a real button next in this situation (its has changed to the CP9 but you're always on CP8)

    My recommendation is not to spoil with the usual design of the Question slides. Read about it in this article:

    Question Question slides in Captivate - Captivate blog

    You will see that my recommendation is to drag the next button under the clear button to make it invisible by the user during the Quiz.

    This seems to be an answer to your question. The button depending on who you're talking about is the next default button you will find on Master quiz slides? The submission process is in two stages:

    1. User clicks on the button and feedback messages appear, in which is mentioned the next action (press on Y or click the slide); playhead remains paused
    2. When the user finished reading the comments, click on the slide (or based on Y) and head out of reading, the actions for Success/Last attempt (if attempts are exhausted) will be performed.

    You see that by clicking on the next button is not included in this scenario at all.
