  • IDT HD Audio device missing. Do not install any drivers.

    Product name:

    Desktop HP Pavilion HPE h8-1214

    Product number: QW701AA

    OS: Windows 8 Pro x 64

No audio device installed. (unless I connect all devices usb audio or my hdmi graphics card). When one of those who are connected it recognizes them.

    System changes-

    Power - Thermaltake 600W

Graphics - EVGA GeForce GTX 660

    PCI PCI - USB - 3.0

Storage - added 520 series intel SSD 180 GB. Found the whole system on it and formatted 1.5 TB of HARD drive for storage.

Chassis - Coolermaster HAF - XB

I tried to install SP59424 from HP support, but it will not be installed.

After the files are extracted and asking if I want to install the driver, he bed "IDT high definition pilot" - "your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update. Update has been canceled. (9996)

I tried to download the codec/driver to many other sites with no luck, I even tried rolling back to windows 7 and the original win7, the same problem driver installation. All this time, of course running as administrator. I also FULLY formatted all my records, restored using my last year HP restore disks and still no sound. I also tried to uninstall all audio devices, (card webcam/usb headphones/graphic) I only put my old DVI graphics card in and still no luck.

I read in the specs of the motherboard that if a sound card is installed the edge is off. So I've got rid of all the possible sound elements except the edge. Finally and above all I also updated the BIOS to the most recent (listed under windows 7 x 64 support) the BIOS has NO built-in option for audio. It is supposed to be less advanced, but it is not anywhere in the BIOS.

Need help please, I spent the last 4 days trying to get this to work.

    Say hello to new soriano7709.

Everything points to what is a hardware problem.  Currently, the device is not detected by any software, including the operating system.  In addition, the device is not detected when using any operating system (Windows 7, Windows 8 or Linux).  It is highly unlikely for the three to have problems with the device unless it is the device itself that has the problem.

At this point you can either replace the motherboard in order to get the sound edge working again, or you can install another sound card, as in these examples.

If you think that answers your question be sure to mark the post as solved.  This helps other users find answers to their questions.

If you have additional questions, do not hesitate to ask.

My Satellite 5200 801 makes no noise after that I installed the XP SP2. I tried to find a new driver for the Yamaha AC - XG Audio device (one that does not is 6.13.10.2152 (2002-07-19 day), but I wasn't able to find anything.)
    Please, could you help me?
    Thank you

    Hello

I found another announcement in this forum on this subject!
Your Satellite 5200 802 has a sound chip called Yamaha YMF753 and it is built in different notebooks! This chip problems with Service Pack 2 because MS consider that the pilot of his Yamaha AC - XG is unstable. When Service Pack 2 is installed, Windows disables the audio driver.

Here are some links that might help you!

    Hello

First question: what laptop do you use?

Secondly: Have you checked the State of the sound card in Device Manager?
If this is not the case, do it!

It s not very serious problem if you have changed something or deleted all files.
You could try to roll back the OS to the beginning and your father will not notice anything ;)

To roll back the OS go to programs-> Accessories-> system-> system restore tools

    Good luck

  • Audio device is no longer detected

Suddenly had no noise. When trying to solve the problems it says I have no audio device. This is not the first time that this has happened. The last time I did system restore and it was fixed. This time system restore does not work.

Uninstall the audio driver in the Device Manager and restart the computer once. The windows will detect and prompt you for the installation of a new audio device driver.

  • Generic USB Audio device drivers won't load

    I use a lenovo x 301.

I am trying to connect to a series of musical instruments (keyboards and microsphones) to my laptop, nothing helps. Here are the relevant facts:

-Devices all work on 6 other machines Windows 7 from a variety of types
-The devices all use drivers generic "USB Audio Device". There is no specific drivers for these devices.
-My USB seems to work - so the USB ports are mainly functional.
-The friendly names of the devices are all identified
-The .sys and .dll files that are used on the other 6 machines are present on the X 301
-When I go into the Device Manager and try to manually choose the "USB Audio Device" driver - it is not available. I spent hours looking for it:-)

    I'm puzzled.

    Help :-(

For any problem of security on NTFS drives:
It is perhaps part of the problem.
    1. are you an administrator user
    2. set the permissions on your OS partition (such as drive C :) for all THAT YOU ARE Full
ADMINISTRATORS/USERS/ComputerName/SYSTEM/all the WORLD (Finally, what you think you are)
There is also maybe something like OWNER who you give special permissions and not full
You must close the properties after each major change and then reopen to contunue
Since you've done ADMINISTRATORS be the OWNER, this means you have FULL and SPECIAL permissions
for all ADMINISTRATORS, who is the most possible freedom that I know.
    3. MAKING the OWNER of Admininstrators everything to implement (some things are still banned it seems)
    4. optionally run chech disc after that
    5. If everything starts after closing you can continue, but until you
are able to stop cold iron and restart in normal mode from MSCONFIG
you are experiencing serious problems that should be fixed first.

    TO THE PROBLEM OF USB:
    IT WAS DEFINITELY MY PROBLEM.
NOTE: REMOVE ANY HARDWARE PLUGGED YOUR USB PORTS-CURRENT TEMP STUFF
    6. If you can't get the appropriate to load drivers or no response when you try to plud in USB cameras or MP3 players do the following
    A. GO TO THE VARIOUS WINDOWS FOLDERS;  INF (can be hidden); System32 AND SYSWOW64 (GOT A 64-bit system)
    B. RENAME all FILES THAT START WITH wpdxxxxx.inf/.pnf/.exe/.dll/.* in [CREDITS]. [GENERIC]. OLD
in this way, you save the old files without destroying them (keep it forever or until of course you can remove/kill them)
    7. turn OFF your SYSTEM, wait 15 to 30 seconds
    8. RESTART your system (power on)
    9. WAIT UNTIL COMPLETELY AT THE START OF THE SYSTEM (DISK ACTIVITY LIGHT EXTIGUISHES)
THIS may take several minutes like 10 or 15 minutes, and then you just see some small flashes of your player
    10. CONNECT any free USB port of your removiable disk devices
    11. you should now get a response from windows as if it were the first time you ever plugged

NOTE: This was the only way I could solve this problem after days of playing with this problem
There is no solution given by microsoft itself that will fix this error
If this does not work for you the only solution I can think of will be to
restore your system before the problem or reinstall the whole OS in the
same Partition without disturbing one of your other partititions.

IT seems to me that windows has installed a separate for each device WPD driver that connect
USB and explains why all the various WPD files. So much happens there are programmers of knowledge
to set correctly this question and thay simply not create decent error messages that will help
You can set these things as a layman.

    Hi MikeMcKayXE,

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: Quit other programs that may be using your sound device, and then try to play the file again.

Method 2: Install an updated driver.

Step 1: Firstly uninstall the audio from the device manager driver and Add / Remove Programs

    a. click Startand then click Control Panel.

    b. click Systemand click on the hardware tab, then click Device Manager.

    c. to the title sound, video and games controller, check the sound card that is listed.

    d. right click on the sound card, and then click Uninstall driver.

Step 2: To see if an updated driver is available, use Windows Update or access the sound device manufacturer's Web site.

Follow these steps to do the same thing:

    a. click Startand then click Control Panel.

    b. click Systemand click on the hardware tab, then click Device Manager.

    c. the title sound, the video controller and games, make sure that the sound card is listed.

    d. right click on the sound card and then click Update driver to install the latest version of the driver.

    e. visit the sound card manufacturer's Web site to determine if a newer version of the driver is available for download.

Method 3: If you have multiple audio devices installed on your computer, try to use another. The selected audio device might not support Secure Audio Path (SAP).
