audio device is disabled in windows

Cannot get the sound of my Packard Bell Eastnote MZ36 other than when the headphones are connected.  Tried various solutions, i.e. diagnosis on computer has the sound card and embedded speakers are healthy, downloaded the latest player, etc..  When you use the Windows diagnostics I get the following comments: ' Windows Audio and Windows Audio Point final Buidler Services must run for the audio working properly. "  At least one of these services does not "."  But solutions or how to put right does not materialize.

Check these for a fix:

  • Audio device is disabled

When you run the troubleshooter for Audio it gives me the error "Audio device is disabled" followed not fixed with a red x.  When you go to the control panel in Classic view under sound that it has helped with my camera, but I can't make any changes to the speakers include speaker set up, Test, disable the speakers and etc... When you go to the Realtek HD audio Manager no speakers are on the speakers tab even if it recognizes the speakers are plugged into the left side.  This problem happened when I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers as my 5.1 speakers wouldn't work, but to reinstall the drivers, the speakers would not work.  Also I tried to uninstall the drivers and let windows automatically detect appropriate drivers.  So, what else could be done to solve the problem.

Edit: The driver on the website of the motherboard is Realtek HD Audio Driver 6.0.1.5735 for Vista and all the download links for it are broken

    This solution worked for me:

go to start search and type cmd search will return the click right on cmd.exe and select "run as Administrator" at the prompt, type: -.

net localgroup administrators / add networkservice
    Press enter, and then type:
net localgroup administrators / add localservice
    Press enter, and then type:

Press enter, and then restart your computer

  • "No Audio device is installed" in Windows Vista.

Back in September 2011, I lost mysteriously my audio. I have a red X on my "speaker" icon in my system tray. When I put the cursor on the "speaker" icon, I get this message "No Audio Device Installed. I went to HP customer web page and found the audio driver: Realtek High Definition Audio Version 6.0.1.5548 (sp37324.exe). I downloaded the program and recorded on my download folder. I put a shortcut to it on my desktop. The only way I can get sound whenever I turn on my computer I click with the right button on the desktop shortcut and run as an administrator and install the program. Turn on my sound. It works as long as I keep the computer. Whenever I restart the computer I'm back for the red X on the "speaker" icon.

Now, Windows Update sent me (on 3 occasions the last two weeks) a update "option"... Realtek High Definition Audio. Every time I have download and install and do a restart, but I get the same red X on the "speaker" icon. It's Ground Hog Day!

My question: is it safe to uninstall the Realtek High Definition Audio driver and reinstall the sp37324.exe without totally send my audio into a black hole? BTW, I don't have a recovery disk.

I hope that someone on this forum can help me. I've exhausted all remedies.

Alto! It worked. I uninstalled the Realtek Audio (in Device Manager), did a reboot and the computer does the repair (reinstalled audio) itself. I didn't have to manually reinstall.

    1 million thanks!

  • No audio device or after reinstaling windows xp volume control

I reinstalled Windows XP on Inspiron B120 my daughter because she got the blue screen of death.  I finally understood how to get the wireless working and I thought everything was OK.  Today I asked him if his cell phone was still used and she told me the volume had disappeared from the taskbar and she had no sound.

When I go into Control Panel configuration/sounds and Audio devices / Volume, everything is gray and it says 'no audio device'.

I tried Dell Quickset, but unfortunately it didn't there nothing to bring back.

I don't want to have to reinstall Windows XP again because of all the problems that I had to get access to the Internet after last reinstallation.  But I think there may be something I can correct if I or someone else, can understand it miss me.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I have a big big problem to find the audio driver and volume control. I was remove some software from "Add or Remove Programs" and I accidentally deleted the audio driver that is the volume of the computer. Day after tomorrow, I went on youtube and and listened to some of my favorite tunes, but I was surprised because I couldn't hear anything in my headset or speaker. I wonder why and I was wondering if I should check the volume to the taskbar control and then there is no volume control icon, as it disappeared. Then I went to the control panel to check the 'sounds, speech and Audio devices"If there is a problem going on there. Then I click on "sounds and Audio devices". and then a window pops up where it says "sounds and Audio devices properties, then I saw that there is"No Audio device".» Now I don't know what to do to recover the sound and audio device to my computer. I tried to install some drivers for my computer, but it does not help. And the only thing I can think of right now is to contact a technician to fix this problem. Please help me. What can you advice that will help my computer to reinstall this device, I will gladly appreciate it. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Help me!!! ..... :(

NO AUDIO DEVICE NOT DETECTED - UPGRADE WINDOWS XP TO WINDOWS VISTA ULTIMATE

Recently, I switched from Windows XP to Windows Vista Ultimate, and now I have no sound. No audio output device detected. I tried the driver far from Device Manager, still nothing. Driver not installed, rebooted and no change. I was told I need a bus class driver Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio of Microsoft, but all I can find are those for Windows 7 and XP. What can I do to fix this

Go to the Web site of the manufacturer of your computer laptop/computer/Sound card > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Audio from Vista drivers > download/install them.

If Vista Sound Drivers for your Audio hardware are not written, cannot do anything about it.

  • Could not open "Manage audio devices" Control Panel configuration

Could not open "Manage audio devices" of the control panel in Windows 7, but it later emerged to the waking from sleep

Odd error, no idea of the cause.  When I start my computer and try to go to the sound control panel to manage my audio devices (at the present time, are what I plugged my SoundBlaster X - Fi Gamer and a Logitech 9000 webcam with microphone), often the Control Panel won't open, if I select "Manage audio devices" in the main window of the Control Panel, or if I select "playback devices". "Recording devices" or "Sounds" of the Volume in the notification area icon.  Then, when the computer is put to sleep and then woke up from his sleep, control panel of his poster.

I don't know how or why, but something seems to interfere with the sound control panel.  Any ideas?  Anyone see the problem?

(I use the drivers SoundBlaster to day and now Windows 7.  With Home Premium, incidentally).

This problem is corrected... The cause of the problem was a bad logitech driver for the microphone to their webcams (I have the webcam for laptop)... In the new versions of logitech drivers, this problem has been fixed. I did a test of the beta with logitech to resolve this difficulty. Go to logitech and download the latest drivers for your webcam and it should fix this error.

  • "No Audio device" all at once on Windows XP, how to fix this?

    Just for information:

-A long time ago I started to use a headset on my laptop (Toshiba) to online conferences. Its has worked well for the helmet and on the laptop's built-in speakers.

-A month there are built-in speakers stopped working, and I could only hear things in my helmet.

-J' recently lost my helmet so now I can't hear anything.

-When to check the control panel and click sounds and Audio devices, it says "No. Audio Device" and all options are disabled.

-When you open Device Manager, the "Other devices" directory is open and all the devices listed in it have icons of yellow question mark with dots exclamation mark next to them.

-J' tried to uninstall the devices listed in the "Other devices" directory and leave the window reinstall them on reboot - I read on another site - but every time I did nothing has changed.

-The directory of sound, video and game controllers has 5 things listed in there: Legacy Audio Drivers, Legacy video Capture devices, media control, Audio Codecs, Codecs video devices. None of them have all the icons next to them warning.

-When right click on each one and select "update driver", each of them come in saying that 'impossible to find a better match the software currently installed. I don't know if it's just to check my system or if it also checks the internet.

So, what are the options I am left with now? I need to do some work with videos, looking at them on their media player and their change in Movie Maker, and I keep says that the audio hardware cannot be found "required" and I can't use the app.

    Thank you.
