audio is missing from windows xp

Original title : Hello, I have no sound on my windows xp pc can you help me find it?

You can help me find the audio on my windows xp pc

Not really, there is much missing info!

You can re - install the drivers audio from the CD of origin or the DVD provided with your PC (not the Windows disc) or better yet, go to the PC manufacturer's Web site and download the latest audio drivers specific to your machine from here.

If the above does not work then to start:

* is this a problem along these last?

* any recent hardware change settings, or add or remove?

* any software changes?

* have you checked mixer to make sure that read, nothing is cut and all sliders are the max height?

* the number of brand, the name and model of your device.

See you soon,.

I changed from windows 7 to xp and now I have no sound

If you have a specific machine from W7 of recent design, it is possible that there will be no XP drivers available from the manufacturer's website. Also, there will be no driver chipset etc.

If I were you, first of all, I would like to check on the CD / DVD supplied with your machine to see if there are any XP drivers. If so, install them, and then update once you have things from the manufacturer's website.

Note: you can not only install the audio drivers, but also the rest of the drivers - chipset, keyboard, WIFI etc or anything that is specific to your unit. Good luck.

PS: just curious - why downgrade you?

  • Not able to record audio streaming as "what you hear" option is missing from Windows 7.

Original title: return to xp from w7 I need the internal registration option

I bought a computer laptop compaq 615 with w7pro installed on it.  I have since discovered that for some reason any microsoft removed internal records "what you hear" function so I now can not record audio streaming and cannot also sound route from one program to another, which, as I'm involved in music, is something I have to do.  for example, I wanted to send audio from ableton live to visualjockey but w7 doesn't let me do that. I wanted to also allows you to record with camstudio but w7 will not realize any record audio.  It seems really stupid and now I can't do a lot of things I used to do on my old laptop with xp

is there a way to get around this? I'm using the latest drivers.  If I reinstall xp on this laptop is going to find the "what you mean the feature? or y at - there a patch or something that I can use Microsoft?

    Thank you very much

My understanding is that stereo mix is only available on some sound cards. You can try the steps on this wire to turn on the stereo mix:
    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7itpromedia/thread/73415150-ec9b-44EA-8119-a2ea4f901ca0

If you don't see it after showing devices disabled and disconnected, it is possible that an update of the driver of the manufacturing may add this feature in the future.

  • Why windows guide media is missing from windows media player using windows 8?

Windows icon is not on my windows media player why not am I missing something? I like listening to the radio stations on the list.

Why was the link to the deleted Media Guide site?  You broke something which worked well - nice work MSFT.

Agree with Elroy - navigate to the "... windowsmedia.com" is simply another stage that was not necessary in the past.

There is a partial solution.  1. go to the wondowsmedia.com site.  2. an internet radio station, click on listen--> WMP should open and start playing the station.  3. in WMP, on the right side, drop down and click "view list".  Must be the name of the radio station.  4 save the Radio station list (will appear in the playlists in the future).  5. While you listen to other stations, you can click with the right button on the station name in the window of the list and add it to your playlist registered.  6. your saved playlist (Internet radio) becomes your link to play directly from WMP.

Again, not a full solution (it cannot browse stations w / in WMP), but if you have some Favorites, above is a way to hear directly from WMP.

    Thank you

Try searching *.eml and make sure you include hidden files and folders in the search parameters.  See also here for the Organization of store message (www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm).  You should be able to use the browser to go to the directory of sent items under the directory of local records and the actual messages will be located there.  It may be useful to compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/) and make sure that everything in the folder, you saw the value. • COLOUR RED MISSING FROM WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION VIDEO

Blue and yellow colors display properly; Tried rebooting; I tried Start-Settings-Control Panel-display-appearance and the other tab; Try advanced and color 1; Only blue, yellow, white, black, gray and combinations are displayed. Red and all the Red components are lost.

With the exception of the problem of red color, all the computer functions properly. No other problems.

You seem to have posted a question of Windows XP to a group of Win7.

Boot in safe mode and see if the problem is still there, if that's the case, it would seem your monitor or display card does not

  • Internet TV missing from Windows 7 Media Center

I installed Windows 7 and reflected on the windows media center features. I like the ability to use Internet TV, but he's not here. I had no guest as I did when I tested the Win7 beta version. What I have to download internet TV. Everything I read suggests it should be there but are not available in some counties (I live in Texas). Can you help me?

In your firewall settings make sure you that all executibles in the c:\windows\ehome are directly added to the some CA list uses to allow Internet access.

It is a machine to assign?  If this is not the case, why you use CA on that?  Built in firewall when managed with the MMC "Windows Firewall with advanced security" is much better and because it is built in it includes all operating system components that need Internet access.

    Hello mwaldron22003,

You use the Gadgets in Windows 7.

To add gadgets on the desktop, right-click on the desktop and select Gadgets.
Select the gadgets you want to add.  These gadgets can be moved and located anywhere on the desktop.
Each gadgets go separate options, you can change. To get the options of the gadget, just right click on the gadget.

    I hope this helps.

    Sincerely,

I lost my audio icon - it has just disappeared.

After having read and followed the steps suggested by other members, I am still unable to find the tab notification area. Are there any other suggestions?
    Thank you!

    Hello

    (1) you still hear sound from the computer even if the icon is missing from the notification area?

Follow the links below and check if that helps.

System icons do not appear in the notification area in Windows Vista or Windows 7, you must restart the computer

  • Latest Dell Audio is missing the button 'Show meters. (Windows 10, Dell XPS 8700)

    EDIT: Rewritten for clarity

Driver Realtek ALC3861 Audio (worm) 6.0.1.7525, A00 for Windows 10, it is no longer a button labeled 'Show meters' under speakers/Headphones > Maxx Pro Audio in the lower right corner (see attached screenshot). This button in previous versions of the driver for Windows 7 opens a new window with sliders to balance the front speakers and rear in a surround Setup.

    What I did:

Update my OS 7 to 10 and set to update drivers Realtek audio as a result - to the version mentioned above.

    What I expected:

The button 'Show meters' would be present in the most recent driver Realtek.

    What really happened:

After the upgrade to the latest driver, the 'Show meters' button is gone.

I reinstalled the latest driver several times and nothing helps and tried the driver from Windows 8.1 and by default with Realtek with worse affects (Audio Dell window missing most of the items/drop options, etc.)

If anyone would know how to solve the problem, if it is intentional, or that worsen it, I would appreciate it.

I think I should be more careful. In Control Panel > Sound > playback > select the Realtek device > properties > levels there are specific changes, I need. I don't know why I didn't notice until now. Could explain why there was no button 'Show meters"in this version, but I thought that Windows 7 has also had the same upgrade and there was audio Dell upgrade as well.

I'll still with a new soundcard from Creative, however, saw a $70 super nice which looks great and seems to have features to match.
