• Error HP SimplePass

  I just got a new computer and for awhile SimplePass worked very well. However, I recently had problems with it crashing and was unable to go to Web sites, I used to frequent.

  I use google chrome and there was once a small HP SimplePass icon at the top right next to the star of the Favorites. The only way I could stop SimplePass crashing constantly was to remove it. But now, I can't scroll my finger to enter the webcard I already saved. The webcards are still there, but I was unable to access as small pop-up offering to reach my finger to log on did not come at all.

  So I need help to restore this icon on my browser.

  That will probably reinstall the plugin to Chrome.  It will not solve the problem of crash.

  Essentially, you may just need to "Reinstall" your current version of HP SimplePass above itself and then RESTART / reboot the computer.  Who must give the Plugin in Chrome.  Go into the settings of Chrome to make sure that the Plugin is "enabled."

  The latest version of AuthenTec has all the features and functionality of the provided software HP device.  It also works with your backup file (export .tsd file), if you have one to import.

  Rules - order of events:

  • Install (restore) validity FIRST pilot - REBOOT
  • Install software SimplePass then - as he clean and happy?  Reboot again.

• Fingerprint reader stops regularly at the login screen (HP dv7 notebook)

  I use a HP laptop dv7-6197 ca, LYA068UA # with windows 7 64-bit.

  This issue has been produced since I bought my laptop at Staples last year. Sometimes, after the computer ' to wake-up "from sleep mode, I will try to unlock it using the integrated fingerprint scanner and will not work. It happens maybe every time 1 of 5 the computer comes out of standby mode. I know that this can be corrected by restarting just the computer, but it is a major nuisance, especially since I use my laptop every day at the College, and shut down the computer and then restarting him wasting valuable time. Is there a way to fix this? I tried reinstalling the drivers but it doesn't seem to work! Please help this really bugs me.

  The only thing you can do is make sure that power management is set on the device so that the system will not actually turn it off.

  Control Panel > display icon > Device Manager > biometric devices >

  Validity Sensor right click > properties > Power Management >

  Clear the check BOX "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

  The problem seems worse on some systems that others - I launches SimplePass on several laptops.  I do see that sometimes.  It's a pain in the...  I'm not seen as often lately.  I am running the latest version of HP SimplePass everywhere.

  I don't know about you, but I think the latest version of AuthenTec seems slightly more robust all around.

  IF, IF the cause is not entirely due to the way the fingerprinter device is managed by the Device Manager, you may have more luck if you can upgrade to the latest version of the software.

  • AuthenTec HP SimplePass 5.4.0.620 is compatible with Vadlidty 4.3.205.0 sensor.
  • You can override this version 620 without removing your current version of SimplePass.
  • BEFORE you install the latest version, DO export your webcards (create a backup of the .tsd):

  Export the Webcard database:

  If you have working software SimplePass, export your Webcards before proceeding.  In the case where you must remove the SimplePass software, your webcard backup can be used (imported) to restore your Web site login information.

  Start SimplePass > parameters > export NOTE: file will be called *.tsd

   

  Rules: order of events
  

  • Pilot installs the first
  • Software installs following
  • If you change anything significant, you can expect things to complain.  It is not a big deal in good standing.
  • Uninstall the driver, although the Device Manager - restart and allow the system to reinstall the driver that you log on.
  • Then, install the software.  All ready installed?  The "repair" bell'attacco (below)...
  • Configuration software
  • Import your backup .tsd

  If you change something or get into trouble later:

  • Go to programs, find the software, do a right click and "repair" of the software.  This resinstalls the software without destroying your password database.
  • THEN RESTART the system.

  Yes, I know - but it's Windows.  He loves a good reset.  And this software like a good restart more than a few other software packages.

  Normally, a Windows password cannot be deleted, but a small little you can search with Google. Maybe you can work around the problem to delete, but there is no official medium so it s on your own risk if you want to try this.

  My school e-mail admin apparently disabled my Simple Pass.  I set myself since my student email to forward to a regular e-mail account so I don't have to go to this site.  How to re - activate the Simple Pass to connect to web sites?  The simple collar works under IE, but not in Chrome.

  Unless something has changed in the last few days, Chrome V29.x may not work with HP SimplePass.  Apparently, the problem is related to the way in which Extensions are used.   According to one user, Chrome said "it's not their fault.  The redone problem surface with a version of Chrome V29.x, who was apparently released in the last week of August.

  I can offer the following:

• Simple pass works only with Google Chrome.

  One day Pass Simple just decided to stop working. I have stopeed receipt of notification to slide my finger.

  It does that with Internet Explorer.I tried to install Mozilla Firefox, it did not work. I have re-installed Chrome several times, tried different versions too, but nothing.

  I uninstalled SimplePass and installed a new software called TrueSite.It has worked with Firefox but not with Chrome.I have re-installed SimplePass several times, but he refuses to work with chrome.

  After you have reinstalled SimplePass 5.3, it refuses to open. It is installed properly and gives no error but when I open the software it opens a second before crashing quickly without giving any error.

  I've had my HP Pavilion dv7t-6 c 00 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC (Windows 7 64-bit) for over a year now and my Simplepass frequently stops working completely until I restart my computer and then it will start working again. I already tried updating drivers and Simplepass worked by connecting to windows and opening the program, but not when I go to sites Web that it is put in place for. The dialog box for me to slide my finger just never came up, and the sensor would not light up as it does when it is ready for me to slide my finger. When just updating the drivers did not work I uninstalled the program and downloaded the latest version (sp61399) available and I'm still having the same problem. I don't want to have to delete all my usernames and passwords and have to start all over again. Is that all I can do for HP Simplepass works and does remove all my info? Thank you!

  You can check your Pass Simple add-ons/extensions to the browser. What browser you are using, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Firefox?

  Here is a AuthenTec on add-ons/extensions support page. Guests may activate or update. Check out your other modules and extensions. Security-type modules could be in conflict with the Pass Simple Add-on.

• Account problem HP Simplepass 2011

  This is partly because of my own stupidity... in gasoline; That is the problem - I registered a few fingers on SimplePass on a Windows account, later, I created a separate user account and deleted the original account. Now when I try to use Simplepass on my new account, it says I've already enrolled fingers. Worse, it then disconnects me from my current account to try to connect to my original one but fails since I deleted it...

  Since I already deleted the original windows account I could just open a session and remove my impressions, is there a manual way to an inscription ' a finger or delete data printing HP Simplepass?

  This solution worked for me, should work for everyone.

  Uninstall the drivers of the fingerprint from the Device Manager.

  • Go to Device Manager > pilot biometric > validity sensors > uninstall > check delete the driver software

  Uninstall the HP Simplepass software

  • Go to control panel > uninstall a program > HP Simplepass

  Restart the computer

  GoTo edit biometric parameters

  • Option 1: Type "biometric settings" on the start menu
  • Option 2: Control Panel > hardware and sound > biometric devices

  Trigger biometrics > APPLY

  SET ON Biometrics > APPLY

  Trigger biometrics > APPLY

  SET ON Biometrics > APPLY

  Install the drivers fingerprints

  Install HP Simplepass

  It works like a charm.

• SimplePass 2011 problem

  A few days ago my new TouchSmart 520-1030, began to connect to a temporary profile at startup. Investigation revealed that a TrueSuiteService of the Image was breaking and had the open register/profile, not allowing not window to use my normal profile. I was able to rename the image and get Windows to start correctly.

  This image is part of SimplePass 2011, which has been pre-loaded onto my PC. I've not got a fingerprint reader and do not need this software, but here the problem, this isn't a problem in the future.  I could not find a pointer to the SimplePass software. I'd rather not completely restore my PC, if possible. can someone give me a pointer to this software?
