• Model of cluster deployment

  I will put up two ESXi 4.1 vSphere servers to start our upgrade process. I have a logic unit number that contains our templates on my ESX 3.5 servers. I also submitted this to my new 4.1 server. I also put in place an active cluster with only CVS. Now, when I try to deploy a new virtual machine for the model to one of the hosts in the cluster 4.1, I get an error (nothing more specific than "error with model... vmdk"). As a test, I moved a cluster host and tried to deploy a new virtual machine of the model to this host. It worked.

  Here's my problem. In order to perform vmotion, that I must have active CVS. The only way to activate CVS is to set up a cluster. I also need to deploy virtual machines models to the hosts in the cluster. Is there a setting I'm missing that would allow the deployment of work for the hosts in the cluster? The user that I'm connected to vCenter is an administrator, so I have all rights in vCenter.

  Have you tried to convert a virtual machine model and see if the hardware virtual right and can be turned on?

  We look at some guests entering our cluster 5.5 from another Department and several of the host already have esxi 6.0 on them. Allows you to manage an environment vsphere 5.5 6.0 or we host problem? We will eventually get them to 6, but just curious to know if it will work in the short term.

  I know that vsphere 5.x - 6 are compatible according to the interoperability matrix, I simply asked if a host 6 can be managed by vsphere 5.5?

• SOA Suite 11 g Composite soa Cluster deployment

  I installed an environment of 11g two nodes clustered soa with HTTP server called roads to the Admin group and SOA load balanced url. Deployed a composite criterion to the cluster of soa.

  endpoint of the test a node1 service name of host and HTTP load port of balance because of which I could test my service manager of the company. I replaced the url with load balanced host and tested in the browser and works very well.

  Then some body help me if I'm missing some configurations. How can I get load balancing url in the Web service endpoint when I deploy it on my cluster soa. Help, please.

  Thanks for the nice reply. Yes for our customer it is no problem to access the service with load balanced url. I want to fix this in the EM console. As indicated, I put the front end host and the port for cluster of SOA in the initial configuration itself.

  UN tenemos con 2 nodos ESX cluster. Los nodos replaced its ESX 3.5 version back. Queremos ampliar el cluster con UN tercer nodo y los existing migrar a 4.1.

• Small tips ESXi deployment/assessment

  Hello. I would like to try something on ESXi free edition deployment before committing to all kinds of licenses. I have two quad core intel E5405 with 24 GB RAM for virtual machines and dual gigabit ethernet. Each machine has 2 WD RE3 drives 7200 SATA 1 TB I can mirror. I'm not sure that's the best configuration first. I would get 5 4 GB VM by machine. I am concerned about a material (IE what might work better) and backup software strategy (I read that esxi is limited). I got my network remotely to start and stop VMS as well to understand the health of virtual machines are important. I have IPMI on these machines therefore have significant ability to remote control on the equipment itself. I wish that this deployment do not have to change that much if I decide to license and which can resemble this path. Looking for advice. Thank you very much.

  DL380G5 host as the location for the ODM is ok, but you may need to upgrade the host in any case since v12 FOM requires ESXi 5.0 or newer.

  I'm sure that it is correct. Unless I'm missing something, vCenter Server is just another virtual machine running on the cluster VSA VSA does not require vCenter Server to run.

  When you use the host profiles, what is the best way to save specific ESXi hosts?  Your host profile standardizes the host configuration, but if you need to restore your ESXi host for a reason, even after the application of the host profile must be configured to the specific IP, hostname, etc of the host.

  Assume that you have an installation of VMware enterprise with 50 + guests.  Is there a good way to automate the backup and restoration of specific configurations of different ESXi hosts?  RCLI scripts?   Hi David,

  You may be walking on ground dangerous with your fpga code, old and new.  You use the modules in what is known as 'calibrated' calibration mode that is of fixed point math.  Your generation of square wave fpga using whole math, which is normally used when the modules operate in mode calibration "gross". To change the calibration mode, you will need to right click on the module, then select it desired mode to use.  I'm not saying that you do.

  What you need TO do to ensure the proper functioning of your fpga VI is to make sure that you use U32 son of math required and then convert the U32 an FXP using the correct encoding (if it is signed, word length and integer).  In your case the 9263 requires signed word in length, 20-bit, 5-bit all over.  Insert an FXP conversion between the generation of square wave and either create a constant FXP of the appropriate type (or use a control correctly put in place of one of the other 9263 channels [AO0 AO1]) and connect to the node of type of fixed point on the conversion OR define the conversion of fixed point with a right click on the exit node and the appropriate settings in the popup box.

  As for your new code fpga, I don't know why you used a sequence structure that your reading of 18 channels on the 9205 will have 144 microseconds, and each write two channels on the 9263 will take 5 microseconds.  I've not worked on how long will take the square wave generation.

  Did you create a new stream of your fpga_new.vi and referenced in your pwm_out_new.vi on the RT?

  It is difficult to guess what you are showing in the screenshots.  If the project is not too big then maybe you could post here.

  As mentioned above, by JMoto, software versions help.  Check in MAX you have on your PC and also on the cRIO 9002 to make sure that there is no incompatibility.

  por lo as he visto, el error tienes esta asociado has several things between las that include the version of LabVIEW, the led driver (OR-RIO) y el engine analysis. Para solucionarlo vamos a hacer back try cosas:

  1 - restore todo el software del cRIO.

  Ve Al para ello MAX > Configuration > remote systems > cRIO-9012 > software. Select software con el boton derecho y pincha sober Add/Remove programs. Desinstala todo el software del cRIO. When is reincie, boring the Operación para instalarlo. At the hora of seleccionar el software than dedicate instalar, marca NOR-RIO (my) x.x.x (ano). NO selecciones option OR-RIO x.x.x (my) (ano) with the help of the Scan Engine OR. Reinicia y vuelve a hacer el deploy para ver el error if ha notice.

  2 - Formatear el driver.

• OME 1.3: update R910 5.5 ESXi host through iDrac fails

  OME 1.3 fees deployed on a Server R2 Windows Server 2012. OME server is in the same subnet as the iDRAC.

  OMSA agent for ESXi 5.5 deployed, but not relevant since the updates of the system OME uses iDRAC for ESXi hosts.

  The R910 was discovered and inventoried by WS - MAN on iDRAC and OMSA bot successfully.

  Trying to make an update of the system. I find the server in noncompliant systems, select it, select all 4 applicable updates.

  I apply and provide the login of the iDRAC.

  The task fails with errors below:

  Hello Alex.

  As long as the VCS platform is the same (physical or virtual) and running the same versions of software and complete you the prerequisites.  See Maintenance and creation of VCS Cluster Deployment Guide for more information.

  The part on the cores is related to your virtual deployments, so if you use virtual VCS, he wants to make sure that you use the same size of deployment noticed on pg 4 of the installation Guide for the VCS VM.  You don't have to worry about this with the hardware appliance.

  It depends on how you have your DNS configuration.  Can you tell us in detail how you have your end points registering on clusters, as well as how you have your DNS configured?  Do you use SRV, alternate records?

  The VCS Cluster Deployment Guide, annex 5 goes on how set up your points of termination for you join the cluster and the different methods to do so.  Appendix 6 covers the SRV records.
