AutoCad LT 2004

I use AutoCad LT 2004 in my consulting business, and it worked fine under Windows 7 RC.  When I upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit is no longer works.  The event handler says it's incompatible.  That's happened?  I can't afford to upgrade to a newer version, since it costs more than $1,200.  Help, please.

Hi Driftwood42,

AutoCAD LT 2004 is supported by the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows XP (Professional, home edition, or Tablet PC Edition), Windows 2000

However, try to install this program in Windows XP compatibility mode that should be in this work programme.

1. Once you download the program on the Windows 7 computer, right click on the iconof the program .
2. click on Properties , then Compatibility tab.
3. now put check Mark for run this program in Compatibility Mode for and select Windows XP SP2 by clicking on the menu drop down.
4. click on apply , and then click OK.

You can use the program compatibility Wizard before you install the program.

Click the link for more information: make sure to run older programs in this version of Windows: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

If you are unable to use this program on Windows 7, you try to install Windows XP mode. Using Windows XP Mode, you can run programs that were designed for Windows XP on computers running Windows 7 Professional, enterprise or Ultimate editions that also meet certain hardware requirements.

Follow the steps from the link: install and use Windows XP Mode in Windows 7: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/install-and-use-windows-xp-mode-in-windows-7

  • Help! My computer is blind not see my files

I have AutoCAD LT 2004 and running it on Windows Vista. I have a very strange and frustrating problem.  Windows Explorer does not see my most recent AutoCAD drawing files. To save all my drawings on the following path: C:\Program Files\AutoCAD LT\Drawings 2004. In the drawings folder is where I put all my files of drawings. When I bring up Windows Explorer and look inside this folder of drawings, all of my old drawings are listed, but none of the most recent files are listed.  And I KNOW THE FILES IN THIS FOLDER because I can open them in AutoCAD.  Inside of AutoCAD when I click the icon to open the file, it goes to this folder of drawings and lists ALL my files, more ancient and more RECENT. When I open one of my recent drawings, on the top of my screen designs where is shows the name of the file, it displays the full path and it's the path C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2004 LT\Drawings. But when I followed this path in Windows Explorer, the file is not listed. It's like AutoCAD can see the file in the folder of my drawings but my computer cannot. This causes a real problem because when I do my BACKUP, the most recent drawings are not copy on my external hard drive. This was recently a real problem because I needed to RESTORE a file from my backup drive, but couldn't, because it was not.  Any ideas on what is happening here?

    Hi Loydclayton,

    ·         You have problems with this file?

    ·         You upgrade Autocad?

The folder may be hidden, encrypted or there could be a change in the settings folder.

Using the files in the Panel Options, you can change how work your files and folders, as well as the display of the content in your folders.

You can reset the folder options and check if it works.

    1. click on Start > Control Panel > appearance and personalization

    2. click on options files > view , then click on records reset.

    autocade? or autocad?

Since Autocad Web site - http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-2004-2005-Archive/Acad-2004-on-Win7/td-p/2632980 - "actually his native running in Win7x64. • Export from Adobe Illustrator and AutoCad 2009

    Hello

I worked for a while on the profiles in Adobe Illustrator, export as a DWG 2004 file and insert block in a file AutoCad wood molding. I have architects may use these profiles of moulding of wood and I had problems along the way by moving from one program to the other. I have more than 500 of them redrawing in AutoCad is not really wanted an answer.

When I try to insert the DWG Illustrator files I get an error message saying "the NLS files required to convert the names of entities and text symbol is not found on your system". There is no text in these files, just some line drawings. So it's ok.

But when I place the DWG file in AutoCad, there is nothing there, or just the points. Someone had a bit of luck integrating an AI DWG AutoCad file?

I thank very you much for any help.

Well it depends on the work and the output... but I prefer the format of Raster PNG file (not that it's a dif in the real side of things 'work', also what scale work you need, and depending on the work, you can or mentioned should check the thickness scale.) Also check text.

  • help understand my next mac mini... from 2004 model!

I really admire the mac mini, I bought in 2004 and it works oddly, except for the internet.

I would like to 'upgrade' or buy one with a more recent CPU/microprocessor. What should I buy? I've heard via internet models end 2012.

I find it useful to have a disk drive so I can burn CDs, although I suppose that there is a way to connect the old mac mini to the new and so use the old one as a storage unit with a usable CD player.

The software I have on the old one is perfectly fine, so I would be able to run such things if I can.

Pointers would be really useful. Particularly on what stage model, what should I look for, or what you think, this is the kind of considerations, I need to assess. (I mean, mega - storage is not a big concern of mine: I does not store the art/film/music to any large degree.). I think it would be interesting to use Bluetooth for listening to music via Bluetooth speakers (which are good quality inexpensive Bluetooth speakers?)

Just Mac Mini have you? One was introduced in 2005. The 2005 those equipped with a Power PC processor and can go as high as OSX 10.5.8.

The 2006 and later have Intel processors.

First applications have been written for Power PC processors and will be running on an Intel processor only if Rosetta is used. Snow Leopard was the latest OSX to incorporate Rosetta. A Mac cannot run an OSX version earlier that OSX initially provided with the Mac as a previous version do not have drivers for the hardware.

The mid level Mac Mini is a good Mac and comes with 68 GB of memory. I wouldn't buy a Mac with less than 8 GB of memory.

To share with the other Mac, you can use the sharing of files and sharing of CD disc. Those who work on a network.

You can also start your old Min I in target disk Mode and connect the two via FireWire (for a Mini more recent yo need a bolt of lightning > FW adopter and a FW800 > FW400 adopting as the old Mini FW 400)

We used the Designjet for years and have several colors put in place to print gray and projected (252, 253, 254 and 25).  They have recently started with purple print.  I have run all diagnostics and calibrations and alignments available, and they are all good.  I looked at several troubleshooting sites and had no luck.  I use AutoCAD v 13.

Assuming that the print heads are out of all the colors correctly, try this:

The printer HP Designjet 500 and 800 series printers have a fix that was implemented in the version of firmware A.02.08 and higher. This hotfix provides additional media profiles that prevent blue to mauve color output change. This fix is only applicable to the series 500 and 800 and only if the printer has a version of firmware of A.02.08 or higher. Once the firmware has been upgraded, follow the steps below to make the appropriate changes in the Panel menu front printers:

    1.

Highlight the menu paper icon on the display on the front panel of the printer and press ENTER.
    2.

Scroll to the paper type and press ENTER.
    3.

Highlight Enhanced colors and press ENTER.

  • Portege R700 - Autocad 2011 does not recognize the graphics card

    Hello

I have toshiba Portege R700 with 64-bit win 7 installed.
I need the computer for use with autocad 2011.

For some reason any auocad does not recognize the graphics card installed on the computer.
I suspect it because very little memory is allocated for the graphics card.

How can I change with the memory allocated for the graphics card, or perhaps, can someone show me where can I find a driver that supports autocad.

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

What Portege R700-xxx you have exactly?
As far as I know the graphics memory cannot be assigned manually.
Everything is controlled by the graphics driver and you have no influence on this

You can try updating the graphics card driver maybe it would help.
The most recent driver found on the page of the European driver Toshiba
If not, you should check the manufacturer of the graphics chip driver

    Good luck

  • What Macbook should I buy AutoCAD?

    Hello!

I just want to ask, what macbook should I buy AutoCAD? I plan to buy the Macbook Air w / core i5 but I saw in some discussions that it is not recommended for autocad... is this true?

BTW... I am a student in engineering, and I'll use it at school it's why I do not prefer the Macbook Pro because it's big, bulky and heavy. I want the Macbook Air because it's elegant, light and it fits into my bag. And also I need the cheapest possible that's why I prefer really the model of Air. (because I'm just a student and my savings from my job part-time is not big so my budget is tight and only around $ 400-600)

I need it after this break.

Thank you! Prospects for a helpful answer.

I'm not familiar with the application, but I suggest that you contact the school and get recommendations from them for minimum requirements as well as the developer of the software.

    Ciao.
