Automate the installation BT

I install a bluetooth application on 700 laptops that have the Toshiba Bluetooth in them. I am trying to automate the setting up the security settings as well as to create a virtual port Server series. Can I use BTSecurityExport for this? I have tried to manually enter all the values of registry you guys create, but it does not work. It shows that the serial port exists, but does not allow me to connect. Regarding the security settings, the user interface shows that they are correct, but it still requires a PIN when you connect.

I have try this tool also and it worked for me, but I have not configured additional COM ports. Is already an available COM port from the server that works by default. Why did you configure a second?
The mentioned tool is just to restrict functions for security reasons as far as I can see.

  • Automate the installation (runInstaller send me questions in the script)...

    Then I tried to automate an installation of Oracle11gR2 and I am REALLY VERY close but need a bit of help.

    {Background :}
    I decided to try to automate the process by using head (which is a tool of devops). The question I spin is that when a script returns 0 Chief considers this piece done, but with runInstaller it returns 0 and continues to run after that. After the first head 0 return think its done and moves on the rest of the automatism (which fails b/c oracle is not installed).

    So the problem is the result of the runInstaller (when used in a script) I can manually trigger installation (with a responsefile in silent mode). And when it finishes installing fire chief to finish my installation.

    {Option}
    I was hoping someone might be able to direct me on how to put a wrapper around the oracle runInstaller script, then it will not return zero until the installer is really done with the installation.

    {Alternative}
    Change (or split) the runInstaller script so that it will work in a way I need to.

    I think people probably met similar problems even if they use another method other than Chief to automate/script installation.

  • How to automate the installation of modules for outs big roll?

    I asked this question a while ago here:
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/884702

    This response worked well up to version 21. Now when I follow these steps, the add-on does not install.

    Reminder, I do deployments on a large scale of Firefox, and I would like to be able to configure a group of modules that will install automatically (I don't want to manually install each).

    How can I do this?

    Thank you!

    Hello brundleflyguy, not much has changed - however the files should now go to \browser\extensions in the program folder. some information on the issue are explained in www.ghacks.net/2013/05/15/why-you-may-have-lost-access-to-plugins-or-extensions-in-firefox-21/.

  • Change the installation location of automatic update

    Hello

    First of all thanks for reading the post.

    The problem that I am facing is that after that put in automatic day is over, they are installed to the C:\ drive but in drive F:\ which is empty and must be used for Linux.

    The fact is that before I formatted my PC, updates have been installed to drive F:\ only. I don't want no other than the C:\ drive for Windows installations. Help, please.

    Config. : Windows XP Pro SP2

    Kind regards

    xploreraj

    By default, the installer will download to

    %windir%\SoftwareDistribution\Download<=this>

    (e.g. C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download)

    Over time, the files in this folder will be 'age' & should be deleted automatically. Removal of the contents of this folder manually has no untoward effect (other than the fact that an installer will be downloaded again if you need to reinstall the update for some reason any).

    Now, you download SP3 and all post-SP3 installed updates as soon as POSSIBLE. After you have done so, you can see this discussion: http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=33827

    Have you tried disabling the automatic updates, and then install service packs?
    A practice that I had in XP when the reinstallation of the operating system was to disable the automatic updates, wait until I had installed all service packs, then turn it back on.

    To disable automatic updates
    GoTo Start-> Control Panel
    Click on "Classic view".
    Click on "windows update", which is usually towards the end
    Click on "change settings".

    under "major updates" choose one of the last two options. Is the "check for updates but let me choose whether to install" or "never check the updates. It does not matter because we will change things back that upgrading to SP2.

  • "D" created automatically during the installation of Win 7?

    Hello

    My wife has a Toshiba laptop, bought refurbished, with Win 7 Home Premium installed.

    Windows Explorer shows 2 partitions on the hard drive, "WINDOWS(C:))." "has the OS installed on it and"Data (D :) '. "has the necessary information, when used in conjunction with the recovery CD for system recovery.

    My question is:-the 'D:' partition created automatically when installed Win 7 on a blank disk, formatted, hard or when you perform a "clean" installation to upgrade XP. The high '\HDDRecovery Data (d :))' folder on the partition "Data (D :)". ', (can't get 'D:' through Explorer properties) on the laptop my wife watch as being slightly more than 6.5 GB.

    If this partition is not created automatically that I can programmatically create it before the installation owner, but if I do, what size does?
    If it's better that Win 7 'sees' a single partition, I can easily do that.

    This situation "C:", "D:" suits me very well because I currently just on my XP Pro x 64 system drive. A historic agreement dating from when I used a dual-boot put in place. When I spread the secondary boot option I put in place a small drive "D:" so that my 'work' partition, first on my second hard disk (3) has been kept as "E:", several shortcuts pointing to the location. I didn't want to trawl through the system to change things to E: to something else. Guess I'm just a bit lazy!

    So, in short, "D:", create or not create?

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Tony Norton

    D: is normally assigned automatically to your recovery drive or optical drive. The size of the recovery partition is normally determined by the manufacturer of the computer, and it can be based on a number of factors such as the WIM image to reinstall Windows 7 in addition to packaged applications, drivers, and utilities. Sizes may vary from 10 to 20 GB. Some may if distributed on several partitions recovery.

  • How to automate importing a certificate file (.cer) within the installation in silent mode of FireFox 9.0.1?

    I created a for v9.0.1 FireFox msi package and I need to include the registration of a certificate (.cer file) in the installation. I deploy the msi file via a vbScript with SCCM installation. This will allow me to include the registration certificate in the msi file, or as a post-installation task in the vbScript. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Online recovery process is frozen to the installation of the Flash Card Utility

    Following an attack of serious virus a month ago, my computer ended up with at least a corrupted user file. Efforts to correct without great expense may have hurt rather than helped - it is difficult to know what does what.

    Until two days ago, I was faced with three distinct start-up, two partial process and a normal (usually first start in the morning). One of the partial featured no connection. The other managed to connect, but not with the document data.

    After a normal boot, if for some reason, the computer fell asleep or has been disabled, it has not started normally for the rest of the day, except on rare occasions, seemingly random.

    Two days ago Windows began to send messages that Windows 7 has to be reinstalled. Once it does automatically search and correction process. Subsequently, the message became, you may be victim of illegitimate (or Word like this) Windows software.

    On a forum this morning, I came across the steps in a process of recovery Toshiba DIY (no cd or usb) and has begun. Everything went along well for about half an hour, going from one thing to another, sometimes restart. But the process now seems to be frozen. For about 40 minutes, the installation was on Toshiba Flash Card Utility - 10/80.

    I followed the direction does not stop somehow. I really don't think it's still going to complete recovery successfully.

    It is I think that all I could do just end the installation and I'll be back where I was before, but without anything left on my laptop.

    I called Toshiba Support (I'm out of warranty) and the person to whom I spoke and his supervisor, do not seem to have any idea of what could be done, but knew I had to talk to a person "out of warranty". I have to pay their fees, but the only one I think that options are available to me are 1) do nothing and see if the recovery work always or 2 (repeat the recovery.

    Can anyone offer an alternative to $200 at Best Buy?
    .

    There is a mistake in the background which you can cancel and continue the recovery.

    Press ALT + TAB to display the error dialog box, close it.

Please bring back the option 'Save' and will bring up when the next time you use Firefox...

    Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so it is no longer necessary for the dialog box asking if you want to save the current session.

    You can use "Firefox > history > restore previous Session ' to get the previous session at any time.

    There is also a button 'Restore previous Session' on the default on: Home home page.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-p199: need help with the installation and activation of 10 Windows after completely uninstalling Windows

    Hello HP assistants.

    I need help for a specific problem. My laptop came with an installation of Windows 8.1. Then I upgraded to 10 Windows when it became available. After a while, I decided to uninstall Windows completely (to wipe the hard drive) and install a Linux operating system.

    Now, I decided that I want to use some software that is not available on Linux and if I want to reinstall Windows 10. My problem is that Windows has completely disappeared in a form any. So now, I need to download Windows 10 from an official source (which I think can be done fairly easily from the official source of Microsoft, although if there is a better, HP official medium to do this then please recommend it) and then I need to activate Windows some how.

    As has been made clear, I have the right to use Windows 8.1 and 10 but I would need to download Windows 10 and turn it on. Is there a way to do this? I'm literally stuck without solution.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    As long as the previous installation of Windows 10 had activated Ok after upgrade from 8.1, you can simply perform a new installation as described in the guide on the following link.  Note: On the activation screen, select "I don't have a product key" - Windows will activate automatically once installation is complete.
