• Automatic update does not work anymore

  My problem is that automatic update does not work anymore and when I try to next turn to the I get some really long file name is missing.   I have a few questions about your question:

  (a) who is the operating system that you are using?

  (b) that you get an error message or error on this page?

  (c) since when are you this problem?

  (d) have you made changes to your system recently?

  You can try to reset the Windows Update components, download the Microsoft fix - it from the link and run the wizard that automatically resets the windows update components, if it does not, I recommend that reset you manually update windows components from the link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058

  These steps should solve the problem, give it a try and check if you are able to perform windows updates.
